No steel cap boots or thongs: Bunbury nightclub reopens with strict dress code

After a quick shutdown, Bunbury's infamous nightclub Exit has reopened with a stricter dress code it hopes will shrug off its "unshakeable reputation."

Exit Nightclub announced it was closing its doors indefinitely last week, blaming a poor economy and "the negative public opinion for the lifetime of the club's operation."

But the go-to place in Bunbury to end a night out is officially back and under new ownership and management, advertising it's quick revival on the Exit Facebook page on Saturday.

"The South West's newest playground," the post read.

"It's not where you're from… It's where you at!"

To encourage a better kind of crowd, the new new owners stipulate that patrons must be in neat and casual clothes at all times, with sneakers, thongs, caps, hats, beanies or steel-cap boots and shoes to be denied entry.

And to drum up more business, DJ Jaspa and DJ David R are set to play sets Saturday night.

The venue's Facebook post encouraged people to come along and see the differences.

"Screenshot this post and tag your friends, and you will receive free entry and one complimentary house drink on entry before 11pm as our gift to you for being a valuable customer of Exit Nightclub," the post finished.

Exit will relaunch on Saturday night, July 22, with doors open from 9pm to 4am.
