AMC Theatres

AMC Theatres (often referred to as just AMC or "AMC Loews" in former Loews Theatres markets and known in some countries as AMC Cinemas) is an American movie theater chain owned and operated by AMC Entertainment Inc., which is itself owned by AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc., a majority-owned subsidiary of Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group. Founded in 1920, AMC has the second-largest share of the American market, behind Regal Entertainment Group (with whom they co-own Open Road Films) and ahead of Cinemark Theatres. The chain has 346 locations mostly in North America, along with 86 more locations in mainland China, home of its corporate parent. The company's headquarters is in Leawood, Kansas.

History

AMC Theatres was founded in 1920 by the Dubinsky Brothers – Maurice, Edward and Barney – who had been traveling the Midwest performing melodramas and tent shows with actress Jeanne Eagels. They purchased the Regent Theatre on 12th Street between Walnut and Grand in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The Dubinskys eventually changed their name to Durwood and the company they formed was called Durwood Theatres.

Feature Presentation

Feature Presentation is the second studio album by Kansas City rapper Kutt Calhoun. It was released on October 7, 2008 and was able to chart #60 on Billboard's "Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums" chart in its first week of release.

It contains 19 tracks, with collaborations with fellow Strange Music label mates like Tech N9ne, the group Skatterman & Snug Brim, and Krizz Kaliko. It also includes other artists such as BG-Bulletwound, The Popper, Greed, Joe Vertigo, Riv Locc, DJ Chill, Vance Leroy, Bishop, and singer Jerita Streater. The album has production from Michael "Seven" Summers, Wyshmaster, Matic Lee and Young Fyre.

A music video was shot for the song "Bunk Rock Bitch," and the video was released by the Record Label through their YouTube account on January 15, 2009. The video features fellow label mates Tech N9ne and Krizz Kaliko.

The Muppets

The Muppets are a group of puppet characters known for an absurdist, burlesque and self-referential style of variety-sketch comedy. Having been created in 1955 by Jim Henson, they are the namesake for the Disney media franchise that encompasses films, television series, music recordings, print publications, and other media associated with The Muppet Show characters.

Henson once stated that the term "Muppet" had been created as a blend of the words "marionette" and "puppet", but also claimed that it was actually a word he had coined. The Muppets debuted on the television program Sam and Friends, which aired locally on WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. from 1955 to 1961. After appearing on skits in several late night talk shows and advertising commercials during the 1960s, Henson's Muppets began appearing on Sesame Street when that show debuted in 1969. The Muppets then became the stars of multiple television series and films, including; The Muppet Show (1976–1981), The Muppet Movie (1979), The Great Muppet Caper (1981), The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984), and The Jim Henson Hour (1989). After Henson's death in 1990, The Muppets continued their presence in television and cinema with Muppets Tonight (1996–98), a series continuation of The Muppet Show, and three films, The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), Muppet Treasure Island (1996), Muppets from Space (1999); the former two were co-produced with Disney, who sought to acquire the characters since the late 1980s. In 2004, Disney purchased the rights to the Muppets (except for the Sesame Street characters, which were sold separately to Sesame Workshop, as well as Fraggle Rock and other characters retained by The Jim Henson Company), and later formed The Muppets Studio; a division created specifically for managing The Muppets franchise.

The Angry Birds Movie

The Angry Birds Movie is an upcoming 2016 American-Finnish 3D computer-animated comedy film based on the video game series of the same name. It is being directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly (in their directorial debuts), produced by John Cohen and Catherine Winder, and written by Jon Vitti. The film will be animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks, and stars Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage, as well as voice cameos, including YouTube sensation Smosh.

Plot

The Angry Birds all live in a small paradise of flightless birds like Red (Jason Sudeikis). However, when they learn of the impending arrival of the Bad Piggies Ross (Tony Hale), Earl (Blake Shelton), Foreman, Chef Pig, Minion Pigs, Corporal and their leader Leonard the King Pig (Bill Hader), the Angry Birds must team up to investigate the Bad Piggies and find out their evil plans.
