Anu

Anu (also An; from Sumerian 𒀭 An, "sky, heaven") is the earliest attested Sky Father deity. In Sumerian religion, he was also "King of the Gods", "Lord of the Constellations, Spirits and Demons", and "Supreme Ruler of the Kingdom of Heaven", where Anu himself wandered the highest Heavenly Regions. He was believed to have the power to judge those who had committed crimes, and to have created the stars as soldiers to destroy the wicked. His attribute was the Royal Tiara. His attendant and Overseer was the God Ilabrat.

Sumerian religion

Anu existed in Sumerian cosmogony as a dome that covered the flat earth; Outside of this dome was the primordial body of water known as Nammu (not to be confused with the subterranean Abzu).

In Sumerian, the designation "An" was used interchangeably with "the heavens" so that in some cases it is doubtful whether, under the term, the god An or the heavens is being denoted. The Akkadians inherited An as the god of heavens from the Sumerian as Anu-, and in Akkadian cuneiform, the DINGIR character may refer either to Anum or to the Akkadian word for god, ilu-, and consequently had two phonetic values an and il. Hittite cuneiform as adapted from the Old Assyrian kept the an value but abandoned il.

Production

The film was initially to be titled as "Chuttalabbayi", but was dropped as Aadi and Veerabhadram had chosen the same for their next film. Lavanya Tripathi was selected to play the love interest in this film which also has Rao Ramesh in an important role.

Release

The first–look poster of the film have been revealed on 14 February 2016 coinciding Valentine's Day on social media. The film which is expected to release during the summer of 2016.

Lavanya Tripathi

Lavanya Tripathi is an Indian model and actress. After working as a model and winning the Miss Uttarakhand title in 2006, she entered the film industry in 2012, starring in the Telugu film Andala Rakshasi.

Early life

Lavanya Tripathi was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India and grew up in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Her father is a lawyer practicing in high and civil court and her mother is a retired teacher. She has two elder siblings, one brother and sister. After completing her schooling from Marshalls School, she moved to Mumbai, where she graduated in Economics from Rishi Dayaram National College.

She stated that she "always wanted to be in showbiz" but her father wanted her to complete her education first. She then started modelling, appearing in commercials, while also being part of television shows. She won the title of Miss Uttarakhand in 2006.

Career

She made her feature film debut with the 2012 Telugu film Andala Rakshasi, after a friend suggested that she audition for the role. She earned critical acclaim for her performance as Midhuna and won the Best Debutante Award from Maa TV. The following year she starred in Doosukeltha which also proved to be successful. In 2014, she made her debut in Tamil cinema with Brahman in which she played an aspiring journalist, Gayathri. She quickly landed her next Tamil film role, in Naanum Rowdydhaan, but was removed from the film when a new production studio took over the project. Her next Telugu project was Bale Bale Magadivoy with Nani.
