Deus Ex is a cyberpunk-themed action role-playing video game—combining first-person shooter, stealth and role-playing elements—developed by Ion Storm and published by Eidos Interactive in 2000. First published for personal computers running Microsoft Windows, Deus Ex was later ported to Mac OS systems and PlayStation 2. Set in a dystopian world during the year 2052, the central plot follows rookie United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition agent JC Denton, as he sets out to combat terrorist forces, which have become increasingly prevalent in a world slipping ever further into chaos. As the plot unfolds, Denton becomes entangled in a deep and ancient conspiracy, encountering organizations such as Majestic 12, the Illuminati and the Hong Kong Triads during his journey.
The game received universal critical acclaim, including repeatedly being named "Best PC Game of All Time" in PC Gamer's "Top 100 PC Games" in 2011 and in a poll carried out by UK gaming magazine PC Zone. It was a frequent candidate for and winner of Game of the Year awards, drawing praise for its pioneering designs in player choice and multiple narrative paths. It has sold more than 1 million copies, as of April 23, 2009. The game has spawned both a sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War, released in 2003, and a prequel, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, released in 2011.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an upcoming cyberpunk-themed action role-playing video game—combining first-person shooter, stealth and role-playing elements—developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix as a sequel to the 2011 Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Set two years after Human Revolution, Mankind Divided features the return of Adam Jensen, with new technology and body augmentations. It is played from the first-person perspective, with a third-person perspective cover system.
After the Panchaea Incident, millions of augmented people mindlessly attacked so-called 'naturals'. People are now more against augmentations than before, an attitude that has been encouraged and given fire by the machinations of the Illuminati, causing the augmented to become persecuted globally. Mankind Divided is set in 2029 in the Czech Republic capital Prague, two years after the events of Human Revolution. Adam Jensen returns as the protagonist, working with an international coalition to stop terrorist attacks. Jensen must deal with terrorist groups demanding equality for augmented individuals as well as the shadowy interests behind the events of the past two years and who control his own organization.
Human Revolution may refer to:
Deus (Latin pronunciation: [ˈdeːʊs]) is Latin for "god" or "deity". Latin deus and dīvus "divine", are descended from Proto-Indo-European *deiwos, "celestial" or "shining", from the same root as *Dyēus, the reconstructed chief god of the Proto-Indo-European pantheon. Compare Greek Zeus (Ζεύς dzeus; Aeolic Greek Δεύς deus) and Sanskrit देव deva. Latin dies ("day") is considered to have derived from the same PIE root that originated deus. This is to say that a celestial shining body, the Sun, gives material form to the words for "day" in the Romance Languages.
In Classical Latin, deus (feminine dea) was a general nounreferring to a deity, while in technical usage a divus or diva was a figure who had become divine, such as a divinized emperor. In Late Latin, Deus came to be used mostly for the Christian God. It was inherited by the Romance languages in French Dieu, Spanish Dios, Portuguese and Galician Deus, Italian Dio, etc, and by the Celtic languages in Welsh Duw and Irish Dia.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a cyberpunk-themed first-person action role-playing stealth video game developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix, which also produced the game's CGI sequences. Originally released in August 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it is the third game in the Deus Ex series, and a prequel to the original game released in 2000. An OS X version, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Ultimate Edition, was released on April 26, 2012 by Feral Interactive; it includes the original game and The Missing Link downloadable content. An improved version of the game for PC and consoles, including a Wii U version, was released on October 22, 2013 as Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut. Feral Interactive released the OS X version of Director's Cut on April 15, 2014. The Director's Cut includes The Missing Link as part of the main plot. Microsoft added the game to the list of Xbox 360 games compatible with Xbox One on December 17, 2015.
The game is set in 2027, 25 years before the first game and 45 years before the second game, at a time when multinational corporations have grown in power beyond the control of national governments. The game follows Adam Jensen, the newly hired security manager at Sarif Industries, a growing biotechnology firm. After terrorists brutally attack Sarif's Detroit-based headquarters, the mortally wounded Jensen is forced to undergo radical life-saving surgeries that replace large areas of his body with advanced prostheses and internal organ systems. Returning to work, he becomes embroiled in the global politics of the human enhancement movement in the search for those responsible for the attack. Central themes to the game are the rise of corporations in globalization, espionage, human survival, poverty, and the ethics of advancing humans with artificial replacements for body parts.

The How and Why of Deus Ex For this video I tested two people who have never played any Deus Ex game before, and I found that on both occasions, both participants took the crossbow, believing it to be the safest bet, and when they used it to put someone to sleep, they found that it didn’t work the way they thought it would. Which makes sense. The guards when shot with a tranq dart, immediately turn and start shooting you. People expected them to at least react to the sensation first. See most people associate getting shot with a tranq dart like getting stuck with a needle. We would at least look to see what we’ve been shot with before we turned to look for who shot them. The other issue is that the enemy automatically knows where we are and starts shooting. As players now, people at leas...

As kings and queens change places
The castles rise and fall
They call it civilization
But it isn’t that at all
It’s Chaos - Chaos: they call civilization
Chaos - Chaos: they call civilization
Behind the window
Of a tenement block
So many good people
But what have they got?
Chaos - Chaos: they call civilization
This chaos - chaos: they call civilization
Do we have a chance? NO!
To realise potential? NO!
Do they have freedom? NO!
To be what we wanna be
Oh no
The poets write history
The armies destroy
Panic and slaughter
And it doesn’t make sense
