In 2006-2007 and 2007-2008 season Barca lost everything ` Ronaldinho got injured and Barcelona became weaker team and after being destroyed in Santiago Bernabeu by Real Madrid "4-1", Frank Riikard was replaced by his assister Pep Guardiola and in season 2008-2009 Guardiola's Era started. Guardiola's Era was the best in Barcelona's history, in just 4 years Barca broke all possible and impossible records, won 14 titles, record "6-2" win against Real Madrid and then in 29th of November another record win against Real Madrid ` this time in Camp Nou "5-0". In the first year of managing Barca, Barca won six titles which was record in the history of football. In 2010-2011 season Barca was about to repeat its own record of 2009 but the defeat in Copa del Rey Final, didn't let them to do that. Unfortunately this season Barca lost the chance to win La Liga and Uefa Champions League. But as you know you have to fall down ` to have the desire to get up again. 2 weeks later they won Copa del Rey and that was another record for the club. And after all this Pep Guardiola announced that he is going to left the club. But I hope he will come back soon again to win new titles with the club. Josep "Pep" Guardiola Sala was born on 18 January 1971 in Santapedor , Spain .Guardiola joined La Masia at the age of 13 and rose through the ranks at the youth academy of Barcelona for six years .Regarded as one of the best players of his generation, Pep was a creative and technically gifted midfielder who usually played in a deep-lying playmaking role as a defensive midfielder. He spent the majority of his career with Barcelona, forming a part of Johan Cruyff's "Dream Team" that won the club's first European Cup in 1992, and four successive La Liga titles from 1991 to 1994 . • LIFE AS A MANAGER • After retiring as a player, Guardiola became coach of Barcelona B, and in 2008 he succeeded Frank Rijkaard as the first team manager. In doing so, Guardiola became the youngest manager to win the Champions League. In 2011 he was named FIFA World Coach of the Year . This is a tribute to a man a myth a legend. Josep Guardiola is the ultimate Barça boy, he grew up loving the club, he joined the youth system at the age of 13. He became famous when he as a 15 year old ballboy entered the pitch to celebrate with his hero. He got promoted to the first team and became a vital player in Cruyff's "dreamteam". He later became captain before leaving the club with tears in his eyes in 2001. Pep returned to coach the clubs B-team in 2007 and took over the first team in 2008. During his first season Guardiola's Barça would win six titels and before he announced that he was leaving the club in 2012 he had helped FC Barcelona to not only win 13 major trophies but also made them the best football team in the history and changed football and the view on the sport forever.
