An asterisk (*; from Late Latin asteriscus, from Ancient Greek ἀστερίσκος, asteriskos, "little star") is a typographical symbol or glyph. It is so called because it resembles a conventional image of a star. Computer scientists and mathematicians often vocalize it as star (as, for example, in the A* search algorithm or C*-algebra). In English, an asterisk is usually five-pointed in sans-serif typefaces, six-pointed in serif typefaces, and six- or eight-pointed when handwritten. It can be used as censorship. It is also used on the internet to correct one's spelling, in which case it appears after or before the corrected word.
The asterisk is derived from the need of the printers of family trees in feudal times for a symbol to indicate date of birth. The original shape was seven-armed, each arm like a teardrop shooting from the center.
In computer science, the asterisk is commonly used as a wildcard character, or to denote pointers, repetition, or multiplication.
When toning down expletives, asterisks are often used to replace letters. For example, the word 'fuck' might become 'f*ck' or even '****'.
Three star or three stars is a grading received in a star classification scheme.

Thomas' is a brand of English muffins and bagels in North America. It is owned by Bimbo Bakeries USA, which also owns Entenmann's, Boboli, Stroehmann, and Arnold bread companies. It advertises as having "nooks and crannies" in the muffins. The company also produces toasting/swirl breads, pitas, bagels and wraps.
The company was founded by Samuel Bath Thomas (1855–1919). In 1874, he emigrated from England to New York City and began working in a bakery. By 1880, he had purchased his own bakery at 163 Ninth Avenue, where he featured his namesake muffins. Thomas expanded to 337 West 20th Street where today a plaque designates the building as "The Muffin House."
The company, S.B. Thomas, Inc., was incorporated by his family after his death in 1919.
In 2010, the company won a trade secret suit when an executive downloaded the company's recipes and retired to work for Hostess.
I sat and watched they blowed my town away
I read in the news it sounded just like a game
And yes I cried out my memories again
And now when everything was gone
I wished that I wasn't born
It was just like starting over again
So I knew they had pressed the button
But know I feel like I'm in deepest pain
Well
I feel like a lonely star who is waiting for a heart of
gold
I feel like a lonely star who is waiting for a heart of
gold
And my day feels just like the night
I hope I were someplace else but I'm stuck
I sat and listen to a song it was about a world beyond
And I felt peace a world of silence
And then I started to feel hope I was glad I was still
alive
And I knew that I had a chance again
So I knew just what to do
I started a revolution but still I fell well
I feel like a lonely star who is waiting for a heart of
gold
I feel like a lonely star who is waiting for a heart of
gold
And my day feels just like the night
I hope I were someplace else but I'm stuck
So don't try to fool me no more I'm standing alone
I'm watching you slowly you'll soon be dead
Like a lonely star who is waiting for a heart of gold
I feel like a lonely star who is waiting for a heart of
gold
And my day feels just like the night
I hope I were someplace else but now I have to
Refill my heart with gasoline and darts
I have to loose my sense cause this will never end
I'm stuck I'm tied my youth is paralyzed
So make this the paradise then lonely star will rise
And I'm stuck girl
