Telugu cinema

Telugu cinema, also known by its sobriquet Tollywood, is a part of Indian cinema producing films in the Telugu language, centered around the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, based in the Hyderabad neighbourhood of Film Nagar. Since 1909, filmmaker Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu was involved in many aspects of Indian cinema's history, like producing short films and travelling to different regions in Asia to promote film work. In 1921, he produced the first Telugu silent film, Bhishma Pratigna. He is cited as the father of Telugu cinema.

In 1933, East India Film Company produced its first Indian film, Savitri, in Telugu. Shot in Calcutta on a budget of ₹ 75 thousand, and based on a popular stage play by Mylavaram Bala Bharathi Samajam, the film was directed by father of the "Telugu Theater Movement" Chittajallu Pullaiah and cast stage actors Vemuri Gaggaiah and Dasari Ramathilakam as "Yama" and "Savithri" respectively. The blockbuster film has received an honorary diploma at Venice Film Festival. Multilingual actor Vuppaladadiyam Nagayya was known as the Paul Muni of India, and one of the influential actors of Telugu cinema.

Allu Arjun

Allu Arjun is an Indian film actor who works in Telugu cinema. He has won three Filmfare Best Telugu Actor Awards for Parugu, Vedam and Race Gurram two Nandi Special Jury Awards for Arya and Parugu, and CineMAA Award for Best Actor Male for Gangotri And Race Gurram.

In 2015, Allu Arjun became the first Tollywood actor to have three consecutive ₹500+ Million share films with his films Race Gurram, S/O Satyamurthy and Rudhramadevi. Consequently, Forbes India placed Allu Arjun in the Top 50 of Forbes India 2015 Celeb 100 list.

Personal life

Allu Arjun was born to producer Allu Aravind and Nirmala. He is the paternal grandson of comedian Allu Rama Lingaiah..

On 6 March 2011, Arjun married Sneha Reddy in Hyderabad. He has a son born in 2014 .

Career

2001–2007

After playing child artist in Vijetha and as a dancer in Daddy, Arjun appeared in Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao's Gangotri. The movie completed 100 days in 102 centers. Arjun then appeared in Sukumar's comedy Arya.idlebrain.com stated "With his exceptionally great performance in Arya, hero Allu Arjun announces that he is here to stay and to leave a mark of his own."

Film

A film, also called a movie, motion picture or photoplay, is a series of still images which, when shown on a screen, creates the illusion of moving images due to the phi phenomenon. Namitha Pramod

Namitha Pramod is an Indian film actress, who appears in Malayalam films. She made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Traffic.

Early life and education

Namitha was born in Kumarakom as the daughter of Pramod, a businessman and Indu, a housewife. She has a younger sister Akhita Pramod. She did her schooling at Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram. She was enrolled at the St. Teresa's College to pursue a BA degree in Sociology in June 2014. She has stated that she was "not going to let [her] acting career compromise [her] studies". Serial actor Kumarakom Raghunath is her father's brother.

Career

Namitha started acting when she was in seventh standard by taking on roles in serials such as Vellankanni Mathavu where she played the role of Mathavu, Amme Devi where she played the role of Devi and Ente Manasa Puthri where she played Anjali. She made her debut in films when she acted as Riya, the dying daughter of Rahman and Lena, in Rajesh Pillai's critically acclaimed Traffic. In her next film Puthiya Theerangal she played her first lead role, playing a fisherwoman, opposite Nivin Pauly. It was followed by more lead roles in Sound Thoma with Dileep and Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum with Kunchacko Boban in which she played a Mohiniyattam dancer. She was not trained in Mohiniyattam and learned the dance steps in Saranya Mohan's dance school in Alappuzha for four days. Both films were successes and she was selected as Top Star (Female) 2013 in Malayalam.
