"Dunkirk” features a prestigious cast, including Tom Hardy (“The Revenant,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” “Inception”), Mark Rylance (“Bridge of Spies,” “Wolf Hall”), Kenneth Branagh (“My Week with Marilyn,” “Hamlet,” “Henry V”) and Cillian Murphy (“Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy), as well as newcomer Fionn Whitehead. The ensemble cast also includes Harry Styles (One Direction) making his feature film debut.
Christopher Nolan (“Interstellar,” “Inception,” “The Dark Knight” Trilogy) is directing “Dunkirk” from his own original screenplay, utilizing a mixture of IMAX® and 65mm film to bring the story to the screen.
“Dunkirk” opens as hundreds of thousands of British and Allied troops are surrounded by enemy forces. Trapped on the beach with their backs to the sea they face an impossible situation as the enemy closes in.
In THR's annual roundtable, six top awards season filmmakers — Peter Chernin, Eric Fellner, John Lesher (Birdman), Marc Platt (Into the Woods), Cathleen Sutherland (Boyhood) and Emma Thomas (Interstellar) — open up about which one of them caught David O. Russell sleeping in their bed, being married to one of the greatest directors in Hollywood and the problem with the TV industry being overcrowded.

Emma Thomas
Emma Thomas is a British film producer, known for co-producing films such as The Prestige (2006), Inception (2010), as well as the Batman film franchise from 2005 to 2012. She frequently collaborates with her husband, director and producer Christopher Nolan.
Career
Aside from producing films, the London-born Thomas worked as a script supervisor throughout the 1990s, and was an assistant to director Stephen Frears on High Fidelity (2000).
She has produced all of Nolan's films since 1997. Together they run the production company Syncopy Inc.
Personal life
Thomas graduated from University College London where she met her future husband. As of 2013, Thomas and Nolan live with their four children in Los Angeles.

Christopher Nolan
Christopher Edward Nolan (/ˈnoʊlən/; born 30 July 1970) is an English-American film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is one of the highest-grossing directors in history, and among the most successful and acclaimed filmmakers of the 21st century.
Having made his directorial debut with Following (1998), Nolan gained considerable attention for his second feature, Memento (2000). The acclaim of these independent films gave Nolan the opportunity to make the big-budget thriller Insomnia (2002), and the mystery drama The Prestige (2006). He found further popular and critical success with the The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005–2012), Inception (2010) and Interstellar (2014). His nine films have grossed over US$4.2 billion worldwide and garnered a total of 26 Oscar nominations and seven awards. Nolan has co-written several of his films with his brother, Jonathan Nolan, and runs the production company Syncopy Inc. with his wife Emma Thomas.
Nolan's films are rooted in philosophical, sociological and ethical concepts, exploring human morality, the construction of time, and the malleable nature of memory and personal identity. His body of work is permeated by metafictive elements, temporal shifts, solipsistic perspectives, nonlinear storytelling, practical special effects, and analogous relationships between visual language and narrative elements.

Christopher is the English version of a Europe-wide name derived from the Greek name Χριστόφορος (Christóforos). The constituent parts are Χριστός (Christós), "Christ" or "Anointed", and φέρειν (férein), "bear": the "Christ-bearer". It is related to the names Chris meaning "Anointed" and Christian meaning "follower of Christ" or "little Christ" (all from Greek.)

Dunkirk Press Conference
Having so far received near-unanimous critical acclaim, Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk hits theaters this Friday. A Warner Bros. Pictures release, Dunkirk continues Nolan’s love of the IMAX format. As he did with The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar, Nolan captured a large portion of the film with IMAX’s 15perf 65m film cameras, the highest-resolution cameras in the world. In promotion of the big screen release, Nolan joined producer (and wife) Emma Thomas alongside stars Fionn Whitehead, Harry Styles, Jack Lowden, Mark Rylance and Barry Keoghan for a Dunkirk press conference held at Santa Monica airport’s historic Barker Hanger.

Even though there is a cd of this collection out in the U.S., I hope this collection will not be blocked in the U.S., as was shamelessly done to my postings from the LP Ndangariro. These postings (and this one) are from Zimbabwean LP/cassette and they sound radically different (better in MY ears) from the U.S. releases, which were basically horribly equalised to fit western ears better. So EMI has a license to that material in the U.S., so they censor it from being heard they way it was actually intended. So U.S. citizens, when my Mapfumo postings are blocked, you know who's responsible.

Dunkirk Press Conference
Having so far received near-unanimous critical acclaim, Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk hits theaters this Friday. A Warner Bros. Pictures release, Dunkirk continues Nolan’s love of the IMAX format. As he did with The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar, Nolan captured a large portion of the film with IMAX’s 15perf 65m film cameras, the highest-resolution cameras in the world. In promotion of the big screen release, Nolan joined producer (and wife) Emma Thomas alongside stars Fionn Whitehead, Harry Styles, Jack Lowden, Mark Rylance and Barry Keoghan for a Dunkirk press conference held at Santa Monica airport’s historic Barker Hanger.
