Plot :

Project Marathwada is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language drama film, made by the Producer-Director duo of Prakash Patel and Bhavin Wadia,[1] along with Eagle Eye Entertainment as Co-Producer. The film is based on the issue of Farmer Suicides in India[2] and stars Om Puri as a distressed farmer, Tukaram.[3]
The films also stars Govind Namdeo, Dalip Tahil, Kunal Seth, Seema Biswas, Rahul Patel, and Farrah Kader.[4] It follows the story of a Marathwada-based indebted farmer, who comes to Mumbai hoping for help from the Government after his son commits suicide. The story takes a twist when he comes across four college students making a documentary on the same subject.[5] The first look of the film was released on 22 September 2015.[6]
The digital marketing of the film is being handled by CineMArkets Digital Solutions and the release is scheduled for 3 June 2016.[7]

Personal life and education
Biswas was born in Nalbari, Assam, to parents Jagdish and Meera Biswas. Her mother, an early influence, was a history teacher and a pioneering figure for female theatre artistes in Assam; and she came into contact with artists like Bhupen Hazarika, Phani Sarma and Bishnuprasad Rabha early in life. She studied Political Science at Nalbari College, and later joined the National School of Drama, New Delhi. After graduating from NSD in 1984, she joined the NSD Repertory Company.

Bandit Queen
Bandit Queen is a 1994 Indian biographical film based on the life of Phoolan Devi. It was directed by Shekhar Kapur and starred Seema Biswas as the title character. It was produced by Bobby Bedi's Kaleidoscope Entertainment. The music was composed by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi, Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie and Best Direction for that year. The film was premiered in the Directors' Fortnight section of the 1994 Cannes Film Festival, and was screened at the Edinburgh Film Festival. The film was selected as the Indian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 67th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.
Plot
Bhind, 1968 Phoolan is married to a twenty-something fellow called Puttilal (Aditya Shrivastava). Though child marriages are customary during that time, Phoolan's mother Moola (Savitri Raekwar) objects to the timing of the match. Phoolan's aging father Devideen (Ram Charan Nirmalker) conforming to his culture, regrettably disagrees, and Phoolan is sent off with Puttilal.

Prashant Bhargava
Prashant Bhargava (January 12, 1973 - May 15, 2015) was an award-winning American filmmaker and designer.
He died of a heart attack from a history of heart trouble.
Background
Bhargava was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, a graduate of Kenwood Academy. His interest in the arts began in his youth, when he was a graffiti artist.
Bhargava studied computer science at Cornell University and theatrical directing at the Barrow Group and at the Actors Studio MFA program.

Bhargava's short film Sangam, described by Greg Tate of the Village Voice as "an elegant and poetic evocation of immigrant angst, memory and haunted spirituality", premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, receiving awards at the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival and Short Shorts Asia. "Beautiful shot on Super 16, Super 8 and still photography" the "poetic and affecting" film (Indiewire) was distributed by Film Movement and MUBI and broadcast on Arte/ZDF, The Sundance Channel and PBS. His other directorial efforts include the documentary portrait of his grandmother Ammaji, experimental Super 8 short Backwaters and the poignant and meditative Kashmir, an audiovisual performance with band Dawn of Midi on broken dreams and natural beauty in war torn Kashmir. He directed film segments for the politically searing Vijay Iyer and Mike Ladd's Still Life Commentator (BAM Next Wave Festival).

Om Puri
Om Rajesh Puri OBE (born 18 October 1950) is an Indian actor who has appeared in mainstream commercial Indian and British films, Independent films and art films. His credits also include appearances in American films. He has been awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India.
Early life
Om Puri was born in Ambala, Haryana, to a Punjabi Hindu family. His father worked in the railways and in the Indian Army. Puri graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He is also an alumnus of the 1973 class of National School of Drama where Naseeruddin Shah was a co-student.
Career
Puri has worked in numerous Indian films and in many films produced in the United Kingdom and the United States.
He made his film debut in the 1976 Marathi film Ghashiram Kotwal, based on a Marathi play of the same name by Vijay Tendulkar. It was directed by K. Hariharan and Mani Kaul in cooperation with 16 graduates of the FTII. He has claimed that he was paid "peanuts" for his best work. Along with Amrish Puri, Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil, he was among the main actors who starred in what was then referred to as art films such as Bhavni Bhavai (1980), Sadgati (1981), Ardh Satya (1982), Mirch Masala (1986) and Dharavi (1992).

The story takes a twist when he comes across four college students making a documentary on the same subject.[5] The first look of the film was released on 22 September 2015.[6]

Richie Mehta recently directed his first feature film, AMAL, starring Naseeruddin Shah (Monsoon Wedding, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), Roshan Seth (Gandhi, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom), and Seema Biswas (Bandit Queen, Water). AMAL has won over 30 international awards, was nominated for 6 Genie awards (Canadian Academy Awards), including Best Picture, Director, and Adapted Screenplay, and was named one of the top ten Canadian films of the decade by Playback Magazine (Canada's Variety). AMAL is currently being adapted into an American remake by producer Oprah Winfrey and Harpo Films - the screenplay being written by Mehta himself.
Mehta has directed several short films, including ALL ROADS LEAD TO HERE, SYSTEM OF UNITS, and the short film version of AMAL. His shorts have screened and won prizes at festivals all over the world, including Berlin, Telluride, Worldwide Shorts, Palm Springs, and the United Nations.
Trained as a painter and sculptor, Mehta attended the University of Toronto’s Art and Art History and Cinema Studies program and Sheridan College's Advanced Television and Film program. He's been personally mentored by directors such as Wim Wenders, Shekhar Kapur and Brian DePalma.

Richie Mehta recently directed his first feature film, AMAL, starring Naseeruddin Shah (Monsoon Wedding, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen), Roshan Seth (Gandhi, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom), and Seema Biswas (Bandit Queen, Water). AMAL has won over 30 international awards, was nominated for 6 Genie awards (Canadian Academy Awards), including Best Picture, Director, and Adapted Screenplay, and was named one of the top ten Canadian films of the decade by Playback Magazine (Canada's Variety). AMAL is currently being adapted into an American remake by producer Oprah Winfrey and Harpo Films - the screenplay being written by Mehta himself.
Mehta has directed several short films, including ALL ROADS LEAD TO HERE, SYSTEM OF UNITS, and the short film version of AMAL. His shorts have screened and won prizes at festivals all over the world, including Berlin, Telluride, Worldwide Shorts, Palm Springs, and the United Nations.

At every encounter with Tanya, in prison or out, Sarja severely and mercilessly beats up Tanya to a pulp, but Tanya keeps eluding the law, and with the help of Journalist Pooja (Gulrez), her friends Rahul (Rahul Bhatt) and Vicky (Deepak Tijori) hopes to unravel the mystery behind the death of her husband Jayant (Pankaj Berry); find her missing sister-in-law Guddi (Gayatri); and seek justice. Finally, the Commissioner to rogue police inspector Gautam (Om Puri) and instructs him to bring in Tanya dead or alive. Nobody is what they appear and Tanya soon realises that Vicky is amongst the people who had perpetrated the injustice against her.

Dheeran goes hammer and tongs against the project, as it would be harmful to villagers. Dheeran painstakingly exposes all the chinks in the project. Shanmugasundaram has to come with a violent reprisal and he sure does and thinks he has done away with Dheeran.
Did he? But Dheeran comes back from dead as a new man with renewed force. In the two years, Shanmugha Sundaram and Alankaram had come a long way. But Dheeran, slowly but stealthily, exposes them with a cunning of a mountain fox. He exposes all their bad deeds with clinching evidence. How? Well, it all leads to an action-packed climax.

Bhubaneswar, 19th June, 2016(OdishaLIVE Bureau): To mark the Father’s Day (June 19th), Parichay Foundation team decided to launch “SHRIE” Awards as a humble attempt to salute the exemplary work of men in various fields. For the first year, the foundation has selected the list of awardees on the basis of the recommendations of its all-women executive committee members and Aarya awardees, allowing the women to judge the works of their counterparts.
Parichay Foundation awarded 12 men achievers in various fields for the first edition of Shrie Awards:

Renowned Hasya Kavi Padmashree Shri Surender Sharma was the star attraction of the ceremony and gave a rib tickling performance.
School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, Actors Seema Biswas and Anu Choudhury, KIIT & KISS founder Achyut Samanta and Iti Samanta were also present during the event.
Parichay Foundation is a 9-year-old philanthropic organisation engaged in promotion of Indian art and culture and bringing about economic and social upliftment of underprivileged women and children in urban slums of Odisha and Delhi. It also works in the hinterland of Odisha.
Through its various projects, the foundation has been making a humble attempt to bring about a difference in the lives of hundreds of women and children who deserve better lives and social justice. For its outstanding work, the foundation has also been felicitated by the President of India and recognised by the United Nations.
While the foundation believes in empowerment of women, it also wants to recognize the role played by men for a better society.

Seema Biswas is an Indian film and theatre actress from Assam who shot into prominence with the role of Phoolan Devi in Shekhar Kapur's film Bandit Queen (1994). She has a reputation for performing strong character roles. Biswas won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film Bandit Queen. She won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the 2006 Best Actress Genie Award for her role as Shakuntala in Deepa Mehta's Water.

Phoolan Devi:
Phoolan Devi (10 August 1963 -- 25 July 2001), popularly known as the "Bandit Queen", was an Indian dacoit (armed bandit), and later a politician.
Phoolan was born in rural India, in a poor family belonging to the Mallaah caste. Married to a much older man at an early age, she was branded as a social outcast after she left her husband to escape marital mistreatment. A family feud resulted in her arrest and made her a victim of police brutality, which greatly embittered her. She was kidnapped by a gang of bandits, who had been paid to kill her. Subsequently, she married one of them, Vikram Mallah, who protected her from a rape attempt by the gang leader, and became part of the gang. With Vikram as the new leader of the gang, the group punished Phoolan's ex-husband, and carried out several robberies. Later, a group of bandits belonging to the Thakur caste murdered Vikram and gang-raped Phoolan. After escaping from their captivity, she raised a Mallah-dominated gang, which carried out a series of violent robberies. In 1981, her gang raided the Thakur village where she killed 22 Thakur men in what came to be known as the Behmai massacre.
She gained a fearsome reputation as the "Bandit Queen", and some villagers started calling her an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Durga. Some people saw her violence as the lower castes' retaliation against the cruelty of the upper-castes. In 1983, she surrendered and was tried for complicity in over 30 instances of murder and numerous other crimes. She spent 11 years in prison while her trial was pending. The 1994 film Bandit Queen, made against her will, was based on her life. Subsequently, the Samajwadi Party's state government withdrew all cases against her. After her release, she contested elections as a candidate of the Samajwadi Party, and was elected to parliament in 1996. On 25 July 2001, she was shot dead outside her home by masked men claiming to seek revenge for the Behmai massacre.
