And the exciting thing is, we just don’t know who will win. I am almost numb with anticipation. If next season is as unpredictable, I will almost certainly blow up.
The relegation battle is fast becoming the most exciting aspect of this league. I tire of all the usual chatter. There is only so much Barca/Real and Man Utd/Chelsea debate worth having.
FYI, Arsenal will win the title next year. You heard it here first. Deal with that, Mister Cog Dis.

As this was my first true EPL season, I was genuinely shocked in what appeared to be a matter of weeks Chelsea was able to place second. Maybe I just oversaturated myself with the Guardian, but I find myself decieved by the nature of the table and disgusted with myself for getting so caught up in it to not see the parallax for what it was.
Now all that remains is the notion of why couldn’t Liverpool do the same? In the words of the Special One, por que?

The funny thing is, they could’ve won it this year, if they hadn’t tied 4-4 at Newcastle and they hadve beat Bolton or anyone else they were expected, to like west brom. it’s possible to have negative excitement right? Cause arsenal sure seem to have a lot of that. No matter, if I knew arsenal were going to win every game why would I watch, right?

If every arsenal shot that hit the post had gone in, they would already be champions. Fact.
With all the ink thrown into describing Arsenal’s calamitous season, it’s remarkable that despite the continuously woeful defensive efforts (their pathological fear of defending the deadball should be diagnosed an official syndrome), the late-game wilting, the mental strength of a daffodil, they are still third in the table, and look like staying there.
If a disastrous season ends in qualifying for the Champions League, what giddy joy a successful one?
