JUST A HEADS UP! This video was made on November 19, 2016 that has been stored on my old Dell computer, so it's a really late upload. Anyways, as you may have known by now, Ash Ketchum's best characterization came with the XY anime. It also seemed that Ash Ketchum would finally win a Pokémon league after all these years when it came to XYZ38 (XY131), especially how the episode was titled "Kalos League Victory! Satoshi's Ultimate Match!!" in Japan. But just when it seem that Ash would win in the finals against Alain, he lost as Ash-Greninja fell down, and it was all a troll, especially with the way Mega Charizard X stumbled. Fans were of course pissed off, and things got worse eventually as Ash-Greninja was released by Ash, and Ash and Alain never did a rematch, despite the fact Alain had WORKED for Team Flare in XYZ39 (XY132). So it shows that the staff behind the anime don't give a fuck about the fans. The worst came when they fucked up Ash's personality in the Sun & Moon anime, and turned him into a joke. Since this video is old, the clips were from the first episode SM001. But if you were to watch the other episodes, you'll still see Ash acts like some mentally disabled kid in the later episodes. Sure he may have some bad-ass moments, but good god, what did they do to him? They turned him from a badass in XY to a crybaby in the Sun and Moon anime! What's worse is the show is full of cringe-worthy "funny" faces that all of the characters produce in a while. Sure, the other series had similar comedy, but this is just going overboard. The XY series was just amazing, and now they go to some shit comedy show? That's just sad. It's basically the 'Teen Titans GO!' of Pokémon anime series. Oh yes, I went there. I should also confess that I've been catching up with the series as of this upload, and I'm currently at the original series. However, I'm planning to stop with "Hoenn Alone!" (EP274). With that said, I do have some idea what the XY series is like. So in conclusion, until Ash's story ends, I'm not going to continue watching this anime. Even though I like Ash, I do understand why people feel he isn't the best character, especially how the same stuff with him has happened for every series. I also do feel there should be a new main character, and it should happen for every new region as we can see the new characters all win a league in there region, and even beat the Elite Four. That way, Ash can become free from all of the reboots and shitty character resets, and hell, maybe we can see him make cameos as a better trainer with the new main characters. As for who's exactly to blame, it could be TV Tokyo, OLM, Inc., The Pokémon Company International, Nintendo, or it could be the anime staff themselves.
