Disney child star Michael Galeota has died at the age of 31. The actor, who starred in "Clubhouse Detectives" and the television series "The Jersey," was pronounced dead Sunday at his home in Glendale, Calif. Galeota, who was found at his home by a close friend, is said to have died from natural causes. Galeota's family has started a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral expenses. So far, the page lists $10,853 in donations - more than a third of their goal of $25,000.

Michael Galeota
Michael Galeota (August 28, 1984 – January 10, 2016) was an American actor. He was best known for his role as Nick Lighter in the Disney Channel Original Series The Jersey.
Personal life and death
In early January 2016, Galeota was hospitalized after complaining of abdominal pains, but left treatment against doctor's orders. On January 10, 2016, he was found dead by a friend at his home in Glendale, California. He was 31 years old.
No precise cause of death was released but Galeota had several health problems including hypertension and high cholesterol according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office. He also suffered from diverticulitis. An autopsy is pending. Galeota is survived by his three brothers David, Tony, and Jimmy Galeota .

Der Ingenieur Bob Miller ist für die Wasserwerke der Stadt San Paulo in Kalifornien tätig. Seine Frau Susan arbeitet als Krankenschwester im örtlichen Krankenhaus. Das System der Wasserversorgung soll modernisiert werden, aber die dafür notwendigen und eigentlich schon zugesagten Mittel werden durch den Bürgermeister eingespart.
In San Paulo kommt es im selben Jahr während einer Hitzeperiode zur unerklärlichen Erkrankung von Menschen aus verschiedensten Umfeldern. Es stellt sich heraus, dass die Krankheit durch bis dato unbekannte, im Trinkwasser lebende Bakterien verursacht wird. Diese werden weder durch die bisher im Wasserwerk verwendete Filtration beseitigt, noch werden sie durch Abkochen des Wassers abgetötet. Die Symptome der Erkrankung sind vor allem starker Durst, was anfänglich dazu führt, dass bereits infizierte Patienten durch den Genuss von weiterem Trinkwasser noch mehr Bakterien zu sich nehmen und schließlich an den Folgen der Infektion sterben. Der Bürgermeister ordnet deswegen an, die städtische Wasserversorgung abzustellen, und verspricht der Bevölkerung Wasserlieferungen per LKW. Die Schulen werden geschlossen, San Paulo wird unter Quarantäne gestellt. Inzwischen sind auch der Sohn von Bob und Susan Miller sowie der Sohn einer befreundeten Familie erkrankt. Nachdem Letzterer stirbt, entschließen sich Susan und Bob zur Ausreise aus der Gefahrenzone, was ihnen aber aufgrund der Quarantäne verwehrt wird.
Als sich wegen der anhaltenden Hitzewelle eine Wasserknappheit in der Region abzeichnet und die Trinkwasser liefernden LKW bei der Ausgabe förmlich überfallen und geplündert werden, wird aus der Bevölkerung die Forderung laut, einen Verantwortlichen für die Kontamination zu nennen und diesen zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen. Kurz darauf wird Miller öffentlich vom Bürgermeister beschuldigt, für die Katastrophe verantwortlich zu sein, und daher vom Dienst im Wasserwerk suspendiert.
Miller versucht daraufhin im Alleingang eine Lösung zu finden. Außerdem stellt sich bei seinen Nachforschungen heraus, dass das Geld, welches ursprünglich für die Modernisierung der Wasserversorgung vorgesehen war, in ein Prestige-Großbauprojekt des Bürgermeisters geflossen ist. Letztendlich findet Miller einen Weg, die Bakterien mit Ozon zu töten. Mit einer Behelfskonstruktion aus Tanks und einer Pumpe gelingt ihm schließlich die Herstellung von dekontaminiertem Trinkwasser.[3]

The weekend also gave Tim some time to finally explore the Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland, which he somehow managed to miss since it opened a couple months ago. It's a fun exhibit full of ship models, prop replicas and costumes, not to mention meet-and-greets with Chewbacca and Darth Vader. The Launch Bay has received some criticism for not being quite "WOW!" enough for Disneyland, but Tim thinks it accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do: engage Star Wars fans with some real live stuff they can see and interact with until Star Wars Land finally makes its debut at the park, we hope, in 2018.

Oscar nominations were announced last week and films under the Disney umbrella fared well, although there were a few disappointments. Neither Star Wars: The Force Awakens nor Inside Out landed Best Picture nominations. Star Wars was recognized with five noms in mostly technical categories, while Inside Out landed nominations for Best Animated Feature and Original Screenplay. Sanjay's Super Team was nominated for Best Animated Short Film while Cinderella did likewise for Costume Design. The Oscars will air on February 28 on ABC.
Bob Weis is the new president of Walt Disney Imagineering. He's been heading up the Shanghai Disney Resort project (which we now know is opening June 16) and was creative lead for the Disney California Adventure expansion and the original Disney/MGM Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios).
The Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show will end at Disney's Hollywood Studios on April 2 to make way for the upcoming Star Wars and Toy Story expansions at the park.
Inside The Mouse Castle sends its condolences to the family and friends of former Disney Channel star Michael Galeota and actor Brian Bedford. Galeota passed away January 10 at age 31. Bedford, a respected stage and screen actor who voiced the title role in Disney's animated Robin Hood, died at the age of 80 on January 13.
It's hard to believe, but Disney's High School Musical is ten years old. The Disney Channel celebrated with an anniversary special this week featuring the original cast.

Michael Mantenuto, who played one of the U.S. hockey players on the gold-medal-winning U.S. team in the Disney film “Miracle,” committed suicide on Monday. He was 35 Mantenuto was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in Washington by the Des Moines Police Department, The Kings County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to the Daily News. The Des Moines Police Department received a 911 call around 1:30 p.m. on April 24 about an "injured or perhaps deceased" person in a vehicle at Saltwater State Park, a spokesperson for the department told the Daily News. Genius For Men brings honor and innovation to DC through a men's empowerment forum that fosters community between men and women, celebrates male achievement, and honors men who seek to transcend the limits within their professions. GFM honors was started by two sisters who would like to showcase the ways in which men meet the mark in our communities. The Genius for Men Honors is a full production in which we recognize men who are meeting the mark in our communities. Genius for Men is unique in that men and women attend and facilitate the entire event. We tell their stories through tributes that feature emerging performing and visual artists. Some of the confirmed honorees are Educator and Activist Lamman Rucker, Journalist and activist Jeff Johnson, Composer Darin Atwater, and the Impact Your World organization.
With the 2012 theme of social justice and direct action, Genius For Men Honors (GFM) will take place at THEARC, Washington, DC on October 13, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. This program is birthed out of the philosophy that a stronger community is partly dependent on the growth and success of our boys and men. We hold this event at THEARCDC.org to join in their efforts to bring quality performing arts and uplift to southeast DC. We have been recognized by entities such as Washington, DC's WKYS FM and the Lady Diva Corporation for our efforts over the last four years.
INTENTION
This GFM fundraising campaign will help us to make sure that we can record the production. We have received invitations from agencies to offer this recording to public schools, athletic programs, rites of passage programs, fatherhood initiatives, and youth empowerment programs. GFM will be an opportunity for people between ages 11 -- 18 to gain information on succeeding in fields such as the music industry, law, hard sciences, and business. Your donations will go to the set design, space for the tech rehearsals of the artists, videography and DVD processing, technical needs for our 12 - piece band, artists, instrument rental, and we would like to compensate the personnel that make this event happen.
Should we be unable to reach our goal of $10,000, we would like for contributions to go toward the recording of the amazing show that we are crafting.

Past honorees have included neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, Edgar Brookins of Afro-American newspaper, composer Richard Smallwood, motivational speaker Willy Jolley, A. B. Spellman, music critic, poet, and former administrator of the National Endowment of the Arts, jazz and classical musician Tony Walker who is the music director for Ledisi, Chick-Fil-A, businessman and philanthropist Michael Melton, Congressman John Lewis, VP and Editor-at-Large of Black Enterprise, Alfred Edmond, The Institute for Responsible Citizenship, Rev. Tony Lee of Community of Hope AME and CBS Radio Personality, photographer Bill Lee, the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, DC, Daniel Moore of the Mo'nique Show, Brandon Camphor and One Way, Mentoring Male Teens in the Hood, Elder Jimmy Grant, and Good Ground Good Life.
TARGET GROUPS
The men participating at GFM as facilitators, panelists and/or honorees are people who see the urgent need to inspire and empower other young men. The women who are spearheading the conference's development share that urgency. We would appreciate your help in making sure the Genius For Men Conference provides the best resources to our attendees.

Mantenuto was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in Washington by the Des Moines Police Department, The Kings County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to the Daily News.
The Des Moines Police Department received a 911 call around 1:30 p.m. on April 24 about an "injured or perhaps deceased" person in a vehicle at Saltwater State Park, a spokesperson for the department told the Daily News.
It was later confirmed that Mantenuto took his own life with a handgun in his car at the park.
Col. Guillaume "Will" Beaurpere, the commander for Mantenuto’s 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), shared the news of his death on Facebook Wednesday morning.
"Those of you that knew Mike will remember him for his passionate love for his family and his commitment to the health of the force," Beaurpere said in a statement.
The actor — who was a college hockey player — portrayed Jack O’Callahan in the 2004 flick about the U.S. Men’s Olympic hockey team that went on to win the gold medal in the 1980 Winter Olympics. The film also starred Kurt Russell.
