The Orville - Lt. Cmdr. Bortus (Peter Macon) Have a Stomach Problem and visit Dr. Claire Finn with Yaphit
Bortus is a Moclan crew member of the The Orville. He comes from a single gender species with cultural and behavioral attitudes that are quite different from other species that are members of the Planetary Union. For this reason, Captain Mercer and the rest of The Orville's crew aren't quite sure how to communicate with him.
He has a mate named Klyden who lives onboard the ship alongside him, with their son Topa.
Like the rest of the Moclan species, Bortus is able to eat anything, as shown in "Krill", he is able to eat a whole ball of wasabi, a bite of a napkin, a bite of a mini cactus plant, and a bite of a glass cup.
Yaphit is a gelatinous creature aboard the Orville. He works in the ship's engineering division. He has an overbearing crush on Claire Finn, frequently feigning sickness just so he talk to her in Sick Bay. Yaphit mentions that he's a Jelly.
Dr. Claire Finn is a Human crew member on the Orville. She is the Chief Medical Officer of the ship.
Dr. Finn is a seasoned medical officer who has served aboard many Planetary Union vessels, and would be eligible to serve on a heavy cruiser. When she first meets Captain Mercer, she tells him that she likes to become a crew member on the ships that she feels need her the most.

From Emmy Award-winning executive producer and creator Seth MacFarlane (FAMILY GUY, “Ted,” “Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey”), THE ORVILLE is a live-action, one-hour space adventure series set 400 years in the future that follows The Orville, a mid-level exploratory spaceship. Its crew, both human and alien, face the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the familiar, often humorous problems of everyday life. The ensemble series stars MacFarlane as the ship’s Commanding Officer, Ed Mercer, and Adrianne Palicki (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Friday Night Lights”) as his ex-wife, Kelly Grayson, who’s assigned as his First Officer. Additional cast members include Penny Johnson Jerald as Dr. Claire Finn (“24,” “The Larry Sanders Show”), Scott Grimes as Gordon Malloy (“ER,” “Justified”), Peter Macon as Bortus (“Shameless,” “Bosch”), Halston Sage as Alara Kitan (“Neighbors,” “Goosebumps”), J. Lee as John LaMarr (FAMILY GUY, “The Cleveland Show”), Mark Jackson as Isaac (“That Royal Today”) and Chad L. Coleman as Klyden (“The Walking Dead,” “The Wire”). The Orville has been renewed for a second season.

Bortus is a Moclan crew member of the The Orville. He comes from a single gender species with cultural and behavioral attitudes that are quite different from other species that are members of the Planetary Union. For this reason, Captain Mercer and the rest of The Orville's crew aren't quite sure how to communicate with him.
He has a mate named Klyden who lives onboard the ship alongside him, with their son Topa.
Like the rest of the Moclan species, Bortus is able to eat anything, as shown in "Krill", he is able to eat a whole ball of wasabi, a bite of a napkin, a bite of a mini cactus plant, and a bite of a glass cup.
Yaphit is a gelatinous creature aboard the Orville. He works in the ship's engineering division. He has an overbearing crush on Claire Finn, frequently feigning sickness just so he talk to her in Sick Bay. Yaphit mentions that he's a Jelly.
Dr. Claire Finn is a Human crew member on the Orville. She is the Chief Medical Officer of the ship.
Dr. Finn is a seasoned medical officer who has served aboard many Planetary Union vessels, and would be eligible to serve on a heavy cruiser. When she first meets Captain Mercer, she tells him that she likes to become a crew member on the ships that she feels need her the most.

Peter Macon is an American television and stage actor. He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in 2002 for narrating Animated Tales of the World. He has appeared in episodes of Nash Bridges, Law & Order, Without a Trace, Supernatural and Dexter. Peter Macon married Lucia Brawley on October 16, 2005.
