Jamie Lidell (born Jamie Alexander Lidderdale on 18 September 1973, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England) is an English musician and soul singer living in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lidell was formerly a part of Super Collider.
Lidell is known for layering tracks made with his voice into a microphone and performing the percussion and melody as a sequenced, beatboxing one-man band. Then over his augmented voices, he sings soul-inspired songs. This exercise makes for energetic live performances. Lidell has become renowned for his diverse range of genre-exploration. Following the release of his 2008 album, Jim, Lidell commented,
I want it to be about music, I think every musician does. But I think inevitably it ends up becoming about personality, which is what gives rise to the music, so people want to make sure that they get a bit of both. The more things do well, the more people want to know why it does well.
His song "Multiply" was used on the television show Grey's Anatomy, and was also included on its second soundtrack. Another song from his album Multiply, "A Little Bit More", was featured in a series of commercials for the U.S. retailer Target.
Jamie, Jaime, Jay´mi, Jaimee, Jamee, Ja'mie, Jamey, Jaymie, Jayme, Jey´mi, Jeymi, Jeimy, Jeimi, or Jaymee is a name derived as of James. It has been used as an independent given name in English speaking countries for several generations.
"Little Bit" is a song by Swedish recording artist Lykke Li from her debut album, Youth Novels (2008). Produced by Björn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John and co-produced by Lasse Mårtén, the track was released in Sweden on 24 September 2007 as the album's lead single. It was included on the soundtrack to the HBO series Bored to Death, while a snippet of the song was used in the commercial for Victoria's Secret Ipex bra starring Heidi Klum. Also, rapper Charles Hamilton sampled the song on his track Starchasers from his mixtape It's Charles Hamilton. Canadian singer Drake remixed the song for his 2009 mixtape So Far Gone.

Some footage from the Jamie Lidell live set at SunSplash Festival 2013... sorry about the slightly distorted sound quality... only had a simple camera with me and the massive sound system next to my camera wasn't helping... it was a very inspirational set, very creative, so much energy and no where near like those boring Ableton dj sets of our time... loved it to bits... big up Sun Splash, big up Serkan!!!

Incredible set from the turntable master. First in a series of Mixmag Asia live sessions: https://www.facebook.com/mixmagasia A-Trak's new single 'We All Fall Down' ft. Jamie Lidell: http://foolsgoldrecs.lnk.to/WAFD Legendary scratch master A-Trak stepped into the inaugural Mixmag Asia Live Sessions DJ booth and offered up a mesmerising one-hour set that showcased the same kind of talent that won the turntablist a world DMC championship at the age of 15. The locale was the luxurious second floor of The House on Sathorn, a former Russian embassy that was remodelled and is now part of the W Hotel in Bangkok. The Fools Gold Records label boss seamlessly bridged the gap between genres and generations, firing off one anthem after another beautifully blended with crafty cuts.

Just the sound of your voice
Drowning out all my noise
When you call my name mysteriously
All the source to let me see
Little bit of feel good goes a long way
I need your touch to get me through my day
Watching you sleeping I pray
Please don't make my feel good go away
Just a look of those eyes, cutting through my smokey skies
And the parts of me that grow from you
Cleared my vision so that I could see
Little bit of feel good goes a long way
I need your touch to get me through my day
Watching you sleeping I pray
Please don't make my feel good go away
Just the smell of you hair follows me everywhere
Your sweet alchemy turned trouble to gold
Transforming it all to let me know
A little bit of feel good goes a long way
I need your touch to get me through my day
Watching you sleeping I pray
Please don't make my feel good go away
