FITSI 2017

Tuesday, June 13th through Thursday, June 15th, 2017
and Tuesday, January 9, 2018

2017 is the 16th Annual FITSI event. The theme is, "Engaging Students with Technology-Enhanced Learning."  We'll explore ways to enhance student engagement with new pedagogies and technologies while helping you address a specific instructional challenge.

Attendance at all FITSI events is expected. By applying to participate, you agree to the following:

  • Attend FITSI on June 13-15, 2017 and on January 9, 2018

  • Integrate at least one new teaching strategy into a course during Fall of 2017

  • Work with Academic Technology to assess instructional technology needs in your school or college

  • Promote the benefits of integrating technology by speaking with your colleagues

FITSI is designed for faculty who have used technology in their teaching in the past, but would like to do more. The program will include presentations from leaders in the field of Instructional Technology, as well as workshops targeted on technology tools that support teaching.

During the Summer event, participants will draft a teaching plan which will be advanced in the Fall semester. At the Winter event, participants will share their experiences and lessons learned.
