"Ramblin' Rose" is a 1962 popular song written by brothers Noel Sherman and Joe Sherman and popularized by Nat King Cole.
Cole's recording of the song was released by Capitol Records as catalog number 4804. It reached number two on both the Billboard and Cash Box charts and sold over a million copies as a single. In 1962 the song spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard Easy Listening chart and the Australian charts, while on the R&B chart, the song reached number seven. It was released as a single from Cole's album of the same name, which also was a million seller. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Record of the Year.
The song has been covered by many artists, particularly country music artists.
There are four country versions of the song. Sonny James recorded the song first in July 1968 and released it five years later on the album The Gentleman from the South in 1973.Johnny Lee's version reached number 37 on the Billboard country chart in 1977. The following year, singer Hank Snow's version charted at number 93. In 1978, Johnny Rodriguez released a cover of the song on the album Love Me with All Your Heart.
Modern Combat is a series of video games developed and published by Gameloft mainly for iOS and Android. All games from the series plays a lot like Call of Duty and features multiple missions in varied environments with different tasks for players to complete. The main enemies in the game are terrorists, and often, the player is accompanied by other soldiers who fight alongside them. Modern Combat: Sandstorm is the first game in the Modern Combat series and was followed by 2010's Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus, 2011's Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation, 2012's Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour and 2014's Modern Combat 5: Blackout
The 5 main entries of the series have been met with mainly positive reviews from critics, while the spin off game Domination received mixed reviews.
Modern Combat 5: Blackout is a 2014 first-person shooter developed by Gameloft Bucharest and published by Gameloft. It is the fifth installment of the Modern Combat series and the sequel to Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. It was released on July 24, 2014 for the iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8, Windows 8.1, and BlackBerry 10, and is the first game in the Modern Combat series to go completely Free-To-Play on all platforms except for BlackBerry 10, a feature added in an update.
The basic war in Modern Combat 5: Blackout is similar to the four previous games in the series. The player can shoot, crouch, sprint, throw grenades, aim, reload their weapons, leap to obstacles, knife enemies, and change/pick up weapons. A new key feature to Modern Combat 5 is the ability to pick a soldier class ranging from assault, heavy, sniper, recon and support(each of which has its own different perks and weapons), although a player's class does not prevent the player from picking up different classes' weapons in-game (For example, a sniper class player can still pick up assault rifles). The campaign focuses on Phoenix (a minor character in Modern Combat 4) trying to hunt down Saunders (a supporting character in Modern Combat 4). Each mission is about 5 minutes long, noticeably shorter than previous entries in the series. As you play in a certain class and acquire a "weapon score", you unlock new guns and attachments to use in both the campaign and multiplayer. Modern Combat 5 is the first Modern Combat game to require a constant internet connection to play (an internet connection is required for the campaign as well as multiplayer).
Kick Out the Jams is the debut album by American protopunk band MC5. It was released in February 1969, through Elektra Records. It was recorded live at Detroit's Grande Ballroom over two nights, Devil's Night and Halloween 1968. The LP peaked at No. 30 on the Billboard 200 chart, with the title track peaking at No. 82 in the Hot 100. Although the album received an unfavorable review in Rolling Stone magazine upon its release, it has gone on to be considered an important forerunner to punk rock music, and in 2003 was ranked number 294 on Rolling Stone's "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" list.
While "Ramblin' Rose" and "Motor City Is Burning" open with inflammatory rhetoric, it was the opening line to the title track that stirred up controversy. Vocalist Rob Tyner shouted, "And right now... right now... right now it's time to... kick out the jams, motherfuckers!" before the opening riffs. Elektra Records executives were offended by the line and had preferred to edit it out of the album (replacing the offending words with "brothers and sisters"), while the band and manager John Sinclair adamantly opposed this.
MC5 was an American rock band from Lincoln Park, Michigan, formed in 1964. The original band line-up consisted of vocalist Rob Tyner, guitarists Wayne Kramer and Fred "Sonic" Smith, bassist Michael Davis, and drummer Dennis Thompson. "Crystallizing the counterculture movement at its most volatile and threatening", according to AllMusic critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine, the MC5's far left political ties and anti-establishment lyrics and music positioned them as emerging innovators of the punk movement in the United States. Their loud, energetic style of back-to-basics rock and roll included elements of garage rock, hard rock, blues rock, and psychedelic rock but were not known for including fuzz elements.
MC5 had a promising beginning which earned them a January 1969 cover appearance in Rolling Stone and a story written by Eric Ehrmann before their debut album was released. They developed a reputation for energetic and polemical live performances, one of which was recorded as their 1969 debut album Kick Out the Jams. Their initial run was short-lived, though. In 1972, just three years after their debut record, the band came to an end. MC5 was often cited as one of the most important American hard rock groups of their era. Their three albums are regarded by many as classics, and their song "Kick Out the Jams" is widely covered.

I take a laser beam
And I use it like a stone axe, baby
I take the present, past and future Mama
And blast it out my thorax, hey, hey
Call me animal, that's my name
Call me animal, I'm not ashamed
Call me animal, this is your hour
Call me animal, you've got the power
I use the juju of my ancestors
To drive this piece of meat
I scream the music of the Pleistocene
Well, just because it's got a good beat, hey, hey
Call me animal, that's my name
Call me animal, I'm not ashamed
Call me animal, this is your hour
Call me animal, you've got the power
Animal, animal, animal, animal
Call me animal, that's my name
Call me animal, I'm not insane
Call me animal, this is your hour
Call me animal, you got the power
