A sovereign country that existed for a few decades in what is today Southern France, but came to be annexed - first by the Holy Roman Empire / Germany and then by France itself. Here I explain the Scandinavian origin of the people after whom the Kingdom was named, how it came to be independent at various times, and how it eventually failed its transition into a modern country. After that, I also explain difference between this Burgundian Kingdom and the Burgundian States further North, occupying part of modern France and Germany and also almost all of the Benelux region. If either had succeeded in surviving as a country, Europe's map today would look significantly different.

After looking at the top Chardonnays, the best white wines from Burgundy last week, Chablis, Meursault etc, let’s focus today on the best red wines made in the birthplace and homeland of Pinot Noir. About Us:
We have been married since 2009 and reside near Pittsburgh, PA. Even before we were married, we loved planning trips and traveling to cool destinations. It has now become our passion and we love diving into new foreign cultures, food, and attractions. We started making home DVDs for our own keepsake many years ago. It was a great way to preserve memories and re-live those memories whenever we wanted. We eventually found that uploaded these videos to YouTube made a lot of sense. We could share them with family and friends across the country in real time, on smart TVs, Ipads, and smart phones. That eventually led to us creating the “Matt n Rach” YouTube Channel. Biden's "OMG" Moment of the Day - April 29th, 2023.....
How to SPOT When a Big FAT Lie is Coming!!!.....
Per Spectrum News: Fresh off announcing he’s running for reelection, President Joe Biden provided a glimpse Tuesday into what his campaign’s messaging will likely be in the coming months. Can the fine wine market maintain its performance? | FT Wealth
Fine wine has proved a solid performer for investors over recent years, but as the FT’s Matthew Vincent explains, it’s facing a variety of challenges, both in the longer and shorter term. There’s little doubt that climate change will have an impact on wine’s premier regions, such as Burgundy and Champagne, while the threat of counterfeiting is moving to the forefront of investors’ minds.

Bearish Or Bullish: Breakdowns and Burgundy
This week on Bearish or Bullish, Bitcoin holds support, Emerging Markets make new lows and Messy Markets persist.
The lack of new highs among stocks is now joined by an expansion in new lows. Some stocks are going up, and most are not.
Cryptos found a spark with Bitcoin leading the way and pressing up against that 41,000 level. That's a big one.
What do we pair with fatty steaks? No so much a filet, but more so a wagyu strip or ribeye.
The trend I picked up on a few years is one I've totally gotten embraced, and that's a Beaujolais Cru or Red Burgundy instead of a big Barolo or Cab or something like that.
Some of these full bodied, high alcohol wines can be overpowering, especially with a more delicate cut of beef.
All this and more on the latest episode of Bearish or Bullish!

Is Investing in Wine Better than the Stock Market?
Fine wines are one of the most sought after goods for those who enjoy the taste and class associated with them. With many wines, aging is one of the ways they continue to taste better and better. That means people are willing to pay more in the future for wines that age well.
This has led to one of the most interesting forms of alternative investing, and even services have been created for collecting pricing data and coordinating the trading and exchange of investment wine.
In March 2019, a wine auction at the world famous auction house, Christie’s was held for a variety of wines. During the auction, the most expensive sale was 12 bottles of wine from Burgundy, France for a little over $305,000. That is over $25,000 per bottle of wine. In 2011, the same case sold for between $97,000 and...

This is VERY Different Than an "Average Biden Gaffe" - This is a PROBLEM.....
This a SERIOUS Problem and MSM Will NOT Cover It!!!.....
Per Spectrum News: April 25th - Fresh off announcing he’s running for reelection, President Joe Biden provided a glimpse Tuesday into what his campaign’s messaging will likely be in the coming months. Speaking at the North America's Building Trades Unions Legislative Conference in Washington, Biden touted his administration’s achievements while drawing contrast with Republicans fixated on undoing them. It matched the tenor of his campaign launch video, released Tuesday morning, with Biden even uttering his reelection slogan, “Finish the job,” a half dozen times. “Our economic plan is working,” he said. “We now have to finish the job.” Saying he ran in 2020 to strengthen the middle class, Biden bragged about the U.S. creating 12 mill...

How to SPOT When a Big FAT Lie is Coming!!!.....
Per Spectrum News: Fresh off announcing he’s running for reelection, President Joe Biden provided a glimpse Tuesday into what his campaign’s messaging will likely be in the coming months. “We now have to finish the job.” Saying he ran in 2020 to strengthen the middle class, Biden bragged about the U.S. creating 12 million jobs in his first two years. After the president quoted a series of articles crediting him with boosting domestic manufacturing jobs, those in attendance began to chant, “Four more years!” Biden attacked Republicans for their long-held position that if the wealthy and corporations aren’t taxed heavily, it will result in job and wage growth trickling down to the middle class. “Like many of you, not much trickled down on my dad's kitchen table,” Biden said. “For decades, trickle-down economics hollowed out the middle class.” Biden boasted about the major pieces of legislation he’s signed into law, including the American Rescue Plan to help the country recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that has led to 25,000 announced construction projects across the country and the Inflation Reduction Act, which has helped lower health care costs for some Americans and made investments in fighting climate change. Biden noted that no Republicans voted for the American Rescue Plan or the Inflation Reduction Act. And he said that under former President Donald Trump, “infrastructure week became a punch line. On my watch, infrastructure has become a decade headline.” The president blasted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy over his speech at the New York Stock Exchange last week in which the California Republican called for cutting discretionary spending to fiscal year 2022 levels and limiting future spending in exchange for GOP lawmakers voting to raise the debt ceiling. If the debt limit is not lifted by summer or early fall, the U.S. would default on its obligations.
Per Wikipedia: Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was born November 20, 1942 and is an American politician who is the 46th and current president of the United States. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 47th vice president from 2009 to 2017 under Barack Obama and represented Delaware in the United States Senate from 1973 to 2009. Biden was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania, moving with his family to New Castle County, Delaware, in 1953 when he was ten. He studied at the University of Delaware before earning his law degree from Syracuse University in 1968. He was elected to the New Castle County Council in 1970 and became the sixth-youngest senator in U.S. history after he was elected to the United States Senate from Delaware in 1972, at age 29. Biden was the chair or ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for 12 years and was influential in foreign affairs during Obama's presidency. He also chaired the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1987 to 1995, dealing with drug policy, crime prevention, and civil liberties issues; and oversaw six U.S. Supreme Court confirmation hearings, including the contentious hearings for Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. He ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and 2008. Biden was reelected to the Senate six times and was the fourth-most senior sitting senator at the time when he became Obama's vice president after they won the 2008 presidential election, defeating John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin. Obama and Biden were reelected in 2012, defeating the Republican ticket of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

In 2011, the same case sold for between $97,000 and $116,000 in today’s dollars, marking an increase of over 126% over those 8 years. Overall, the auction seemed to be pretty successful with about 90% of all wines being sold.
The rise in popularity of wines being bought from the secondary market has grown intensely from the year 2000 to about $4 billion in 2018. Although this is pretty insignificant if you compare it to total private equity investment activity of $800bn in 2018, $4Bn is still pretty significant.

Investing in wine is a profitable alternative investment option for investors and wine drinkers to diversify their portfolio. The fine wine market has outperformed most global equities and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and is less volatile than real estate or gold.
Fine wine resilient to market swings
Despite ongoing intense market volatility and a very uncertain future, many investors are clinging to their stocks and hoping for the best. What you might not know is that many of the biggest names in investment are turning to a little-known investment with huge potential and very low correlation to the stock market. Top investment advisers recommend that investors diversify part of their portfolio with resilient alternative assets such as fine wine.
In March 2020, right at the start of the global pandemic, the S&P; 500 plunged 25 pc. In the same month the Liv-ex 1000, the fine wine index that tracks the prices of 1,000 top-performing bottles, slipped just 4 pc. We see the same pattern if we jump back to the recession of 2007-2008 when the S&P; 500 plunged 38.5 pc. In contrast, the Liv-ex 1000 dipped by just 0.6 pc.
Brexit-proof investing
This resilience makes wine investment an excellent hedge to insulate your assets against a no-deal Brexit. Although the details of the UK’s exit from the European Union remain hazy, any no-deal scenario is likely to involve significant logistical disruption and additional costs for those purchasing fine wines in the UK. This bodes well for investors already in the market who should benefit from price increases on this side of the Channel as top restaurants and UK-based collectors and drinkers struggle to access the European markets.
This is even without considering the impact on sterling. Any sudden or gradual weakening will give investors a price boost on their portfolio thanks to enhanced competitiveness on the global market.......

“We now have to finish the job.” Saying he ran in 2020 to strengthen the middle class, Biden bragged about the U.S. creating 12 million jobs in his first two years.
