Lily Collins has revealed how extreme anorexia and bulimia stopped her menstrual cycle for two years and may have affected her chances of having a family.
Giving her first full interview about new movie To The Bone to The Daily Mail, the actress blamed her father's £17m divorce, which prompted a disconnect.
Lily was spotted hitting the gym on Thursday as she gains weight after a reported 20lbs weight loss for the part of a teenage girl with an eating disorder in To The Bone

She now explains how she previously gorged on food and until her 'throat burned and oesophagus ached'.
‘My periods stopped for two years,' she bravely confessed. 'And my life was out of control. I was terrified I had ruined my chances of ever having kids.’
She gorged on junk food, then forced herself to throw up, causing her hair to fall out and her nails to become brittle.
Lily explained that she believes her eating disorder stemmed from her strained relationship with her famous father Phil Collins.

‘There was a terrible disconnect that grew between us. Many of my deepest insecurities stem from my issues with my dad.’
Lily, who went to school in Los Angeles, lived with mother Jill Tavelman (Phil's second wife) after their separation.
When she heard that his marriage to third wife Orianne Cevey was also in trouble, along with the stress of her school life, she became anorexic and bulimic in 2008.
Doing promotion: Lily was later seen heading to LAX, where it's thought she was flying out for promo

Lily has insisted that she lost - a reported 20lbs in - weight in a 'healthy' fashion, with regular check-ups from doctors.
She's also said that she saw the experience of playing Ellen as therapeutic, because she no longer believes that 'perfect' exists.
The drama premieres on Netflix on Friday and Lily was spotted leaving Los Angeles' LAX airport on Thursday, presumably to return to London for more promotion.
She was wearing a different denim jacket this time, opting for a design from Mother for her airport outing, doubling her jeans look with matching drainpipe trousers.
The film, To The Bone, is being accused of shallowness, sexism and glamorising and exploiting anorexia
Placing the blame: Lily has spoken out about father Phil Collins (here on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999)
Bad relationship: She says she puts her insecurities down to their bad relationship (pictured together in 2012)
Struggles: Lily has been outspoken about her own struggles with anorexia in the past. Filming the movie required her to lose a significant amount of weight
Help: Things in the movie's trailer take a dark turn when Lily's character faints and lands herself in residential treatment, under the watchful eye of a straight-talking doctor (Keanu Reeves)
