The Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr in Trump Tower was accompanied by two more people than previously revealed, including a former Soviet counter-intelligence official, who some U.S. officials believe has an ongoing relationship with Russian intelligence, according to NBC News. The individual, Russian-American lobbyist Rinat Akhmetshin (circled center image in glasses), confirmed his participation in the meeting to the Associated Press. He has denied any current ties to Russian spy agencies. Akhmetshin escorted Natalia Veselnitskaya (second from right) to Trump Tower last June, where she met with President Trump's eldest son (left), along with his son-in-law Jared Kushner and then-campaign chairman Paul Manafort. NBC, which initially withheld Akhmetshin's name, described the lobbyist as holding dual American and Russian citizenship, having emigrated to the US after serving in the Soviet military. Veselnitskaya confirmed to the network that she was accompanied to the Manhattan office building by at least one man. She wouldn't give his name. However, Donald Trump Jr's lawyer, Alan Futerfas, told NBC News that two other people accompanied Veselnitskaya to the meeting - a translator and a 'friend of Emin [Agalarov]'s and maybe as a friend of Natalia [Veselnitskaya].' Emin Agalarov is a pop star friend of the Trumps who asked his PR person, Ron Goldstone (top right), to reach out to Don Jr, according to emails Trump's son produced. Meanwhile The President and his wife Melania are flying back from a whirlwind trip to Paris (inset).
