Camille Rowe

Camille Rowe-Pourcheresse (born January 7, 1990) is a French-American model and occasional actress.

Background

Rowe was born in Paris to an American mother, who was a model and dancer at Le Lido club, and a French father, whose family is in the restaurant business. Her childhood was split between Paris, Brooklyn, and California.

Career

Rowe was spotted in 2008 in a café in Le Marais in Paris while studying at university. She has appeared in campaigns for Dior Homme (alongside Robert Pattinson),Chloé, 3 Suisses, H&M, Louis Vuitton, Victoria's Secret, Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Tommy Hilfiger. She has been featured in magazines including on the cover of Vogue Paris, Elle, L'Officiel, CRASH, Marie Claire, and Madame Figaro.

In 2010, Rowe appeared in the French film Our Day Will Come alongside Vincent Cassel.

In 2011, she appeared in the promo video for The Strokes' song Call Me Back.

In 2013, she starred in MGMT's music video for Alien Days. Rowe also made a small cameo appearance in Supreme's full length skateboarding video "cherry" in 2014.

Sean Rowe

Sean Rowe (born in Troy, New York) is an alternative folk singer-songwriter and musician.

Early life

Born and raised in Troy, New York, Rowe started playing music at an early age. He received a bass guitar from his father on his 12th birthday and performed in a local band. After receiving an acoustic guitar as a gift from his uncle, Rowe began playing solo.

He wrote his first song at the age of seven on a Fisher-Price typewriter after listening to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger." Rowe started seriously writing songs when he was 18. The first complete song that he wrote was called "Turtle," which was inspired by his friend and singer-songwriter Jeanne French.

At the age of 17, Rowe discovered Otis Redding and his song "Open The Door", which inspired him to begin singing.

Nature

An avid naturalist, Rowe often speaks of his fascination with the woods and his connection to the land.

After reading The Tracker by Tom Brown at the age of 18, Rowe started a blog about his experiences in the wilderness. He later took courses at Tom Brown's Wilderness Survival School in Asbury, NJ.

Vogue (British magazine)

The British edition of Vogue is a fashion magazine that has been published since the autumn of 1916. The magazine's current editor stated that, “Vogue’s power is universally acknowledged. It’s the place everybody wants to be if they want to be in the world of fashion" and 85% of the magazine’s readers agree that “Vogue is the Fashion Bible”. The magazine is considered to be one that links fashion to high society and class, teaching its readers how to ‘assume a distinctively chic and modern appearance’. As a branch-off of American Vogue, British Vogue is a magazine whose success is based upon its advertising rather than its sales revenue. In 2007, it ran 2,020 pages of advertising at an average of £16,000 a page. It is deemed to be more commercial than other editions of Vogue. British Vogue is the most profitable British magazine as well as the most profitable edition of Vogue besides the US and China editions.

History

During the First World War, Condé Nast, Vogue’s publisher, had to deal with restrictions on overseas shipping as well as paper shortages in America. The British edition of Vogue was the answer to this problem, providing Vogue fashion coverage in the British Isles when it was not practicable to receive it in the usual way. Under the London edition's first editor, Elspeth Champcommunal, the magazine was essentially the same as the American edition, except for its British English spellings. However, Champcommunal thought it important that Vogue be more than a fashion magazine. It featured articles on ‘society and sporting news… Health and beauty advice… travelogues… and editorials’, making it a 'skillfully mixed cocktail'. Champcommunal held her editorial position until 1922.
