Danny Faure (born 8 May 1962) is a Seychellois politician who has been Vice President of Seychelles since 1 July 2010. Faure is a member of the People's Party (PP).
Faure was born in Kilembe Mines, Uganda. He is a graduate in political sciences from an institution in Cuba. Faure was Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly from 1993 to 1998, then served in the cabinet as Minister of Education from 1998 to 2006. He has been the Minister of Finance since 2006 in the cabinet of President James Michel. He was appointed as Vice-President in 2010, while retaining the finance portfolio.
Danny may refer to:
A vice president (in British English: vice-president for governments and director for businesses) is an officer in government or business who is below a president (managing director) in rank. The name comes from the Latin vice meaning "in place of". In some countries, the vice president is called the deputy president. In everyday speech, the abbreviation VP can be used.
In government, a vice-president is a person whose primary responsibility is to act in place of the president on the event of the president's death, resignation or incapacity. Vice presidents are either elected jointly with the president as their running mate, or more rarely, appointed independently after the president's election.
Most governments with vice presidents have one person in this role at any time, although in some countries there are two or more vice-presidents. If the president is not present, dies, resigns, or is otherwise unable to fulfill their duties, the vice president will generally serve as president. In many presidential systems, the vice president does not wield much day-to-day political power, but is still considered an important member of the cabinet. Several vice presidents in the Americas held the position of President of the Senate; this is the case, for example, in Argentina, the United States, and Uruguay. The vice president sometimes assumes some of the ceremonial duties of the president, such as attending functions and events that the actual president may be too busy to attend; the Vice President of the United States, for example, often attends funerals of world leaders on behalf of the president.

Seychelles (i/seɪˈʃɛlz/ say-SHELZ; French: [sɛʃɛl]), officially the Republic of Seychelles (French: République des Seychelles; Creole: Repiblik Sesel), is an archipelago in the Indian Ocean. The 115-island country, whose capital is Victoria, lies 1,500 kilometres (932 mi) east of mainland East Africa. Other nearby island countries and territories include Comoros, Mayotte, Madagascar, Réunion and Mauritius to the south.
Seychelles, with a population of 90,024, has the smallest population of any independent African state; however, it does have a larger population than the UK overseas territory Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha.
The Seychelles were uninhabited throughout most of recorded history. Some scholars assume that Austronesian seafarers and later Maldivian and Arab traders were the first to visit the uninhabited Seychelles. The earliest recorded sighting by Europeans took place in 1502 by the Portuguese Admiral Vasco da Gama, who passed through the Amirantes and named them after himself (islands of the Admiral). The earliest recorded landing was in January 1609, by the crew of the "Ascension" under Captain Sharpeigh during the fourth voyage of the British East India Company.
Anse Royale is an administrative district of Seychelles located on the island of Mahé. The Polytechnic School of the Humanities is located in this district.

STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS BY PRESIDENT DANNY FAURE
An interview conducted by THE TIMES OF AFRICA with H.E. Mr. Danny Faure, Vice President, Seychelles
The Seychelles has confirmed that vice president Danny Faure will serve out President James Michel's remaining five-year term. Michel, whose party has ruled the Seychelles since 1977, announced his resignation on Tuesday. It was initially unclear whether new elections would take place. Michel's resignation follows the opposition coalition's victory in parliamentary elections, amid growing public frustration over economic inequality. In April, the Parliament unanimously voted to amend the Constitution and limit presidential terms to two instead of the previous three. Faure will be sworn in on the 16th of October, the day President Michel's resignation will take effect.

HE Mr. Danny Faure, Vice President, Republic of Seychelles, expressed his views on the blue economy. He emphasised the inability to achieve sustainability without the blue economy, as a sustainable ocean will lead to a sustainable planet. It is becoming increasingly clear that the challenges the world faces in respect of energy, water and food security are interlinked. Consequently, if strategies have to be developed for tackling one or the other aspect of this integrated challenge we would need to consider comprehensive and critical aspects of managing supply and demand for energy, water and food in a manner that ensures security in each of these. It is in this context, DSDS 2014 deliberated upon 'Attaining Energy, Water and Food Security for All'. For more information, visit http:...

STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS BY PRESIDENT DANNY FAURE
Remember the days when it all was just fine
We sat at your house, doing pot and red wine
Now the years have gone by and some of us changed, died
or left.
But still I like to think of way back then, the best
bunch guys who I call my friends
But I can see the changes everyday
Just a little bit longer
Just a little more time
Just a few hours longer
That'll make me much stronger, and it'll all be just
fine
The nights that we spent above the pizza store
The parties we had, cops knocking on our door
Everyone laughed and didn't give damn
The life that we lived was of a different kind
Nobody cared how we fucked up our lives
But everyone of us just turned out right!
Just a little bit stronger
Just a little more tough
Just a little less weakness
That will stop my hunger, and I'll be strong enough
Just a little bit wiser
Just a little more smart
Just a little more knowledge
So I can't stand my desire, before it all falls apart
Just a little bit longer
Just a little more time
Just a few hours longer
That'll make me much stronger, and it'll all be just
fine
Just a little bit wiser
Just a little more smart
Just a little more knowledge
So I can't stand my desire, before it all falls apart
Just a little bit older
Just a few wrinkles more
Just a little more stories
