Critics Campus 2016

In its third year, MIFF Critics Campus hosted eight participants: Dominic Barlow (NSW), Ella Donald (QLD), Jessica Ellicott (NSW), Tanya Farley (VIC), Andréas Giannopoulos (VIC), Aimee Knight (SA), Bella McNeil (VIC) and Doosie Morris (VIC).

The intensive week-long lab of panels, workshops mentoring and writing, designed to provide emerging Australian film critics a unique platform to nurture their talent in a live festival setting. Since participating in the lab, alumni have written for publications including The Age, Senses of Cinema, The Monthly, The Saturday Paper, Junkee, The Lifted Brow, The Hollywood Reporter, FilmInk and more.
 
The 2016 mentors were Jonathan Rosenbaum (USA), David Jenkins (UK), Stephanie Bunbury (UK/Australia) Chris Fujiwara (USA/Japan), Rebecca Harkins-Cross (Australia) Philippa Hawker (Australia), Alexander Heller-Nicholas (Australia) and Sarah Ward (Australia).
