Hardcore Superstar

Hardcore Superstar is a hard rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden. The band was formed in 1997 and continue on today. Hardcore Superstar have had several #1 hit singles, and Grammy wins in Sweden.

History

Early years (1997-2005)

Hardcore Superstar formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1997. They released their first album, It's Only Rock 'n' Roll, on Gain Records in October 1998. Out of the 11 tracks on the album (including the hidden track, Fly Away], 7 songs were re-recorded for their first worldwide release, Bad Sneakers and a Piña Colada. Released in 2000, Bad Sneakers contained 7 of the tracks from their debut, along with 6 new tracks. The Japan release for the album featured a bonus track, "Don't You Ever Leave Me", a cover of a Hanoi Rocks song. The album spawned three singles, all being #1 hits on the Sweden music charts; "Someone Special", "Liberation" and "Have You Been Around", respectively.

The band toured Europe and Japan in support of the album, and a promotional video for the single "Liberation" was released. The video was nominated for a Swedish Grammy. In 2001, Hardcore Superstar released their third album called "Thank You (For Letting Us Be Ourselves)". The album had a more laid back feel than its predecessor and spawned two singles; "Shame" and "Mother's Love/Significant Other".

Star Wars

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise, centered on a film series created by George Lucas. It depicts the adventures of various characters "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away".

The first film in the series, Star Wars (later subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope), was released on May 25, 1977 by 20th Century Fox and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. It was followed by the similarly successful sequels The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983); these three films constitute the original Star Wars trilogy. A prequel trilogy was later released between 1999 and 2005, which received a more mixed reaction from critics and fans, compared to the original trilogy. The Family Stone

The Family Stone is a 2005 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Thomas Bezucha. Produced by Michael London and distributed by 20th Century Fox, it stars an ensemble cast, including Diane Keaton, Craig T. Nelson, Dermot Mulroney, Sarah Jessica Parker, Luke Wilson, Claire Danes, Rachel McAdams, Tyrone Giordano, Brian J. White, and Elizabeth Reaser, Bryce J. Harris (Baby Gus) uncredited, Bradly J. Harris (Baby Gus) uncredited.

The plot follows the Christmas holiday misadventures of the Stone family in a small New England town when the eldest son, played by Mulroney, brings his uptight girlfriend (played by Parker) home with the intention of proposing to her with a cherished heirloom ring. Overwhelmed by the hostile reception, she begs her sister to join her for emotional support, triggering further complications.

The Family Stone was released in North America on November 26, 2005 and was a moderate critical and commercial success, with a worldwide gross of over US$92.2 million. While Parker was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her performance, Keaton, Nelson and McAdams garnered a Satellite Award nomination each. In addition, McAdams was awarded a Teen Choice Award the following year.
