Cameroon (/ˌkæməˈruːn/; French: Cameroun), officially the Republic of Cameroon (French: République du Cameroun), is a country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west; Chad to the northeast; the Central African Republic to the east; and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south. Cameroon's coastline lies on the Bight of Bonny, part of the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean.
Cameroon is home to more than 200 different linguistic groups. French and English are the official languages. The country is often referred to as "Africa in miniature" for its geological and cultural diversity. Natural features include beaches, deserts, mountains, rainforests, and savannas. The highest point at almost 4,100 metres (13,500 ft) is Mount Cameroon in the Southwest Region of the country, and the largest cities in population-terms are Douala on the Wouri river, its economical capital and main seaport, Yaoundé, its political capital, and Garoua. After independence, the newly united nation joined the Commonwealth of Nations, although the vast majority of its territories had previously been a German colony and, after World War I, a French mandate. The country is well known for its native styles of music, particularly makossa and bikutsi, and for its successful national football team.

My Dear Cameroonian Family and Friends. This is to all Cameroonians supporting the present Cameroon Government. We shouldn't sit here and pretend that this type of torturing unarmed Cameroonians in their own country is acceptable. Please watch the below video and tell me if, in this present century, things like this should still be happening in Cameroon? Your opinion is highly appreciated. You should also read and post your opinion and read RAW Cameroon latest news at http://www.iTTvNews.com Thank You.

Cameroon used to be a German colony, and then it was divided between France and the United Kingdom. After independence, both halves wanted to unite and formed the nation that we know today. Today I travelled from Buey, Cameroon to Douala, Cameroon which is the industrial power in Cameroon. I hadn't exactly heard too many pleasant things about Douala so I really wasn't expecting much. However, I ended up really enjoying Douala, especially the food or the city. There is a massive expat community in Douala, and I think maybe I just needed a few of those comforts from home at this point in my travels after the crash, Nigeria, and malaria of late... it's been a tough couple weeks. Anyways, after ice cream and a couple meals in Douala, I decide to only spend one night, and tomorrow I'll head off to Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon. Stay tuned.
