The matrix" (eng. Ray Parker, Jr.
Ray Erskine Parker, Jr. (born May 1, 1954) is an American guitarist, songwriter, producer and recording artist. Parker is known for writing and performing the theme song to the movie Ghostbusters, for his solo music, and for performing with his band, Raydio, and with Barry White.
Early life
Parker was born in Detroit to Venolia and Ray Parker, Sr. He has two siblings, his brother Opelton and his sister Barbara.
Parker attended Angel Elementary School where music teacher, Afred T Kirby inspired him to be a musician at age 6 playing the clarinet. Parker attended Cass Tech High School in the 10th grade. Parker is a 1971 graduate of Detroit's Northwestern High School. He was raised in the Dexter-Grand Boulevard neighborhood on its West Side. Parker attended college at Lawrence Institute of Technology.
Career
Early work
Parker gained recognition during the late 1960s as a member of Bohannon's house band at the legendary 20 Grand nightclub. This Detroit hotspot often featured Tamla/Motown acts, one of which, the (Detroit) Spinners, was so impressed with the young guitarist's skills that they added him to their touring group. Through the Bohannon relationship at 16 he recorded and cowrote his first songs with Marvin Gaye. Parker was also employed as a studio musician as a teenager for the emergent Holland-Dozier-Holland's Invictus/Hot Wax stable, and his choppy style was particularly prevalent on "Want Ads", a number one single for Honey Cone. Parker was later enlisted by Lamont Dozier to appear on his first two albums for ABC Records.

Anthony Ray Parker
Anthony Ray Parker (born May 13, 1958) is an American actor.
Parker was born in Saginaw, Michigan, USA, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California. For years during the late 1990s and early 2000s, Parker settled in Auckland, New Zealand and had a prominent career on television in various shows as Suzanne Paul's sidekick. He appeared in the film "The Matrix" as the character Dozer. In 2006, Parker starred in John Cena's film The Marine. He will also appear in the horror film Dead Air.
He has filmed a number of television shows and movies in Australia and New Zealand.
In 2007 he performed the role of Buddy McDeere, the Head coach of the Russian boxer, Anton Kolchin in the Russian movie Shadowboxing 2: Revenge.
Parker has appeared in the Starz production of Spartacus: War of the Damned in the role of a rebel slave named Sanus in 2013.
Personal life
Anthony Ray Parker has a daughter and two sons, all of whom currently reside in New Zealand. His son, Joseph Lavall Parker was identified as a member in the Roast Busters case.

The Matrix
The Matrix is a 1999 American–Australian neo-noir science fiction action film written and directed by The Wachowski Brothers, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving, and Joe Pantoliano. It depicts a dystopian future in which reality as perceived by most humans is actually a simulated reality called "the Matrix", created by sentient machines to subdue the human population, while their bodies' heat and electrical activity are used as an energy source. Computer programmer "Neo" learns this truth and is drawn into a rebellion against the machines, which involves other people who have been freed from the "dream world".
The Matrix is known for popularizing a visual effect known as "bullet time", in which the heightened perception of certain characters is represented by allowing the action within a shot to progress in slow-motion while the camera's viewpoint appears to move through the scene at normal speed. The film is an example of the cyberpunk science fiction genre. It contains numerous references to philosophical and religious ideas, and prominently pays homage to works such as Plato's Allegory of the Cave,Jean Baudrillard's Simulacra and Simulation and Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Over the years, numerous critics have pointed out the many similarities between the highly successful Matrix series and the earlier box office bomb but cult classic Dark City, some going on to cite plagiarism. The Wachowskis' approach to action scenes drew upon their admiration for Japanese animation and martial arts films, and the film's use of fight choreographers and wire fu techniques from Hong Kong action cinema was influential upon subsequent Hollywood action film productions.

Anthony Ray (born August 12, 1963), better known by his stage name Sir Mix-a-Lot, is an American rapper and producer based in Seattle, Washington.

Anthony Ray was born on August 12, 1963 in Seattle, Washington. He was a fan of hip hop growing up and started rapping in the early 1980s.
Career
1980s
In 1983, Sir Mix-a-Lot and his partner, Nasty Nes, founded the Nastymix record label. Mix-a-Lot's first hit, released in 1987, was the single "Posse on Broadway," whose title referred to Broadway in Seattle's Capitol Hill district. The "Godzilla" remix of "Posse on Broadway" contained a sample from David Bowie's 1975 hit "Fame," but neither the album version nor the original seven-inch edit, which was used for the video, used the Bowie sample. The song made the Top 100 but quickly disappeared, although it remains popular in the Seattle area for its references to many local landmarks.
Swass, Mix-a-Lot's debut album, was released in 1988 with two other singles: "Square-Dance Rap" and a hip hop cover of the Black Sabbath song "Iron Man" backed by the band Metal Church. In 1990, the Recording Industry Association of America certified Swass platinum.

"My Proprietary Childhood" was a pair of Commodore 64 music mixes I made in June 2001 and January 2002, as I was rediscovering SID (the sound chip used in the Commodore 64) music. Rather than another authoritative "Best Ever" list, these mixes were a blend of stuff I remembered fondly from my childhood, and strange wonderful sounds I was finding in the vast High Voltage SID Collection (http://hvsc.c64.org)
Here in 2017, it's now been as many years since I made these mixes as it was since I first experienced SID music as a child on my C64. This felt like a good time to post them publicly and honor the incredible creativity and technical skill of SID musicians, whose sounds I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
