In this video i show you how easy it is to make a homemade rechargeable lead battery. Both of the plates are made of lead. The initial polarity of the cell is entirely up to you, but once you start to charge it you cannot reverse the polarity. Make sure your plates are clean or the lead dioxide will not form properly. This video I explain my reason why I don't use rechargeable batteries, but I use regular alkaline batteries instead.
Alkaline batteries are consistent to each other when wearing down or losing it's charge, unlike rechargeable batteries. Also, alkaline batteries have a shelf life of 5-10 years. When rechargeable batteries sit for long periods of time, they need to be recharge.
Rechargeable batteries need to be on some kind of recharge cycle even if they are not being used. To me, it's just to hard to track. When I put batteries in my equipment, I need to know that they are going to work. Rechargeable batteries can dump a charge and then stop work for whatever reason.
The only benefit rechargeable batteries have over non rechargeable batteries is that they are "green". I love them for protecting the environment, but that's about it.
Buying batteries all of the time can be expensive. That's why I wait until black Friday to purchase all of my batteries for the year. Some stores blow out batteries at ridiculous prices and with a shelve life of 5-10 years, holding onto new batteries for a year is no problem.
All alkaline batteries are virtually the same. Don't get fooled by the hype. The lasting power will be very close from brand to brand. Be sure not to buy batteries that say "heavy duty". Batteries of those types are not alkaline batteries and will not last at all.
Remember, this is my opinion. Rechargeable batteries may work for you. They definitely will save you money if you use lots of batteries. I don't like them because of their reliability. I really like to use fresh batteries every time I shoot and I need to know that they are fully charge and are going to work when called upon.

Rechargeable battery
A rechargeable battery, storage battery, secondary cell, or accumulator is a type of electrical battery which can be charged, discharged into a load, and recharged many times, while a non-rechargeable or primary battery is supplied fully charged, and discarded once discharged. It is composed of one or more electrochemical cells. The term "accumulator" is used as it accumulates and stores energy through a reversible electrochemical reaction. Rechargeable batteries are produced in many different shapes and sizes, ranging from button cells to megawatt systems connected to stabilize an electrical distribution network. Several different combinations of electrode materials and electrolytes are used, including lead–acid, nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), lithium ion (Li-ion), and lithium ion polymer (Li-ion polymer).
Rechargeable batteries initially cost more than disposable batteries, but have a much lower total cost of ownership and environmental impact, as they can be recharged inexpensively many times before they need replacing. Some rechargeable battery types are available in the same sizes and voltages as disposable types, and can be used interchangeably with them.

How to make your own high capacity rechargeable battery (lead alum)
In this video i show you how easy it is to make a homemade rechargeable lead battery. Both of the plates are made of lead. The initial polarity of the cell is entirely up to you, but once you start to charge it you cannot reverse the polarity. Make sure your plates are clean or the lead dioxide will not form properly. Tthis video is about how to make a very simple rechargeable battery using old lead plates and alum (epsom salt). the lead plates can be replaced by copper and zinc plates but the the cell will give a voltage of about 1V only.

I really like to use fresh batteries every time I shoot and I need to know that they are fully charge and are going to work when called upon.

How to make your own high capacity rechargeable battery (lead alum)
In this video i show you how easy it is to make a homemade rechargeable lead battery. Both of the plates are made of lead. The initial polarity of the cell is entirely up to you, but once you start to charge it you cannot reverse the polarity. Make sure your plates are clean or the lead dioxide will not form properly. The only benefit rechargeable batteries have over non rechargeable batteries is that they are "green". I love them for protecting the environment, but that's about it.
Buying batteries all of the time can be expensive. That's why I wait until black Friday to purchase all of my batteries for the year. Some stores blow out batteries at ridiculous prices and with a shelve life of 5-10 years, holding onto new batteries for a year is no problem.

I really like to use fresh batteries every time I shoot and I need to know that they are fully charge and are going to work when called upon.

This video I explain my reason why I don't use rechargeable batteries, but I use regular alkaline batteries instead.
Alkaline batteries are consistent to each other when wearing down or losing it's charge, unlike rechargeable batteries. Also, alkaline batteries have a shelf life of 5-10 years. When rechargeable batteries sit for long periods of time, they need to be recharge.
Rechargeable batteries need to be on some kind of recharge cycle even if they are not being used. To me, it's just to hard to track. When I put batteries in my equipment, I need to know that they are going to work. Rechargeable batteries can dump a charge and then stop work for whatever reason.
The only benefit rechargeable batteries have over non rechargeable batteries is that they are "green". I love them for protecting the environment, but that's about it.
Buying batteries all of the time can be expensive. That's why I wait until black Friday to purchase all of my batteries for the year. Some stores blow out batteries at ridiculous prices and with a shelve life of 5-10 years, holding onto new batteries for a year is no problem.

In this video, we show that it is possible charging car batteries to 100% in just 10-15 minutes.
The video shows that the supply voltage at the shooting range rechargeable battery 18650 +/- 6 amperes.
Thus, in just 10 minutes, the battery voltage goes more than 10 watts, which is the maximum capacity for this LG 18650.

First up was the solder tab type AA 1.2v Ni-Cd in my beard trimmer. I know, not the most attractive thing a man wants to see in his bathroom.
Then I repair my programmable Christmas tree light timer which needed a coin cell 1.2v Ni-MH with PCB mounting tabs.
