If you grew up in the 1980s, you probably spent some time in arcades. From Pong to Pac-Man, video arcades had rows upon rows of brightly lit games that captivated the nation.
Hello guys and today we’re talking about the most weird arcade games in the world.
Cow Milking Game
Somewhere in Phoenix, Arizona, a lone fake cow stands in an arcade, urging you to milk it. We’re not even sure what this game is called, to be honest. There are plenty of cow milking games, which is actually kind of frightening to a degree, but there’s something especially off-putting about this particular iteration.
Boong-Ga Boong-Ga
The most well known bizarre arcade game, Boong-Ga Boong-Ga, better known as Spank ’em. The arcade machine comes with a peripheral in the shape of a butt, which you spank. Really, what more do you expect from Japan?
Amusement Washing Machine
Does anyone actually like doing their laundry? Lee Wei Chen didn’t, but instead of just grumbling, he decided to do something about it. And so, the Amusement Washing Machine was born. This creation combines the washing machine and arcade game into one design that wouldn’t look too out of place in an arcade. The idea, according to Chen, is to turn all those hours you wasted on Space Invaders into something that can actually help you in the real world.
Urine-Fueled Arcade Games
Now that washing your clothes is more fun, arcade games tackle another necessity that you probably don’t typically associate with “fun” – going to the bathroom. The Exhibit Bar in London has some unique games for you to play on your potty break, on mounted 12-inch displays above every urinal. And slowly but surely, the concept has started catching on around the world.
These games aren’t played with your hands, though, but with an all-natural, ahem, joystick. Compete against the high scores of other men in games like skiing, fueled by your urine.
Turnip Strength Tester
Museum of Soviet Video Games, among other interesting remnants of the past, sits a game called Repka Silomer, or Turnip Strength Tester. Turnips aren’t exactly famous for their physical strength, making this “game” seem particularly bizarre and possibly LSD-influenced until you learn about the story it’s referencing.
The game is based on a Russian folk tale about a farmer who grows a giant turnip that’s so large and so firmly rooted in its place the farmer couldn’t pull it up on his own. The farmer’s wife tries to help, then the granddaughter, the dog, the cat, and finally the mouse, forming a fairy tale conga line that finally managed to pull the stubborn turnip out of the ground.
Lobster Catcher
Remember those coin-operated “claw” games in the 80’s, where you could snag some fuzzy dice if you moved the robot hand with enough skill?
This “Sub Marine Catcher” arcade game allows Japanese gamers to try their hand at catching live lobsters. It takes some skill, because lobsters are wary of being grabbed by an electric claw and they dash away.
Ultra Low Dining Table
If you’re the kind of destructive person who would rather break everything on the table, there’s a game for you as well. Cho Chabudai Gaeshi!, known in English as Ultra Low Dining Table, is another arcade with a table peripheral. In this case, though, the object of the game is to flip the table peripheral out of anger over an unsatisfying meal, knocking over whoever else happens to be sitting next to it.

Michael Jackson
Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, and actor. Called the King of Pop, his contributions to music and dance, along with his publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.
The eighth child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene along with his elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the Jackson 5 in 1964, and began his solo career in 1971. In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. The music videos for his songs, including those of "Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Thriller" from his 1982 album Thriller, were credited with breaking down racial barriers and with transforming the medium into an art form and promotional tool. The World Beyond
The World Beyond is the second of two pilots for an occult detective television series. The first pilot, The World of Darkness, also starring Granville Van Dusen as Paul Taylor, premiered on Sunday, April 17, 1977. The World Beyond followed as a sequel on CBS Friday, January 27, 1978.
Premise
Sports writer Paul Taylor (Granville Van Dusen) died while undergoing a surgical procedure but was retrieved from the brink of death. His brush with "the world beyond" allowed the dead to communicate with him and ask him to help a living person.
The World of Darkness
Dead for two minutes and 37 seconds following a motorcycle accident, Paul Taylor hears ghostly voices that draw him to the New England town of Woodvale. Taylor becomes involved in supernatural activity surrounding the Sandford family, whose recently buried patriarch was an apparent suicide.

Arcade game
An arcade game or coin-op is a coin-operated entertainment machine typically installed in public businesses such as restaurants, bars and amusement arcades. Most arcade games are video games, pinball machines, electro-mechanical games, redemption games or merchandisers.
While exact dates are debated, the golden age of arcade video games is usually defined as a period beginning sometime in the late 1970s and ending sometime in the mid-1980s. Excluding a brief resurgence in the early 1990s, the arcade industry subsequently declined in the Western hemisphere as competing home-based video game consoles increased in capability and decreased in cost.
Arcade action games
The term "arcade game" is also used to refer to an action video game that was designed to play similarly to an arcade game with frantic, addictive gameplay. The focus of arcade action games is on the user's reflexes, and the games usually feature very little puzzle-solving, complex thinking, or strategy skills. Games with complex thinking are called strategy video games or puzzle video games.

From Pong to Pac-Man, video arcades had rows upon rows of brightly lit games that captivated the nation. Hello guys and today we’re talking about the most weird arcade games in the world. Cow Milking Game Somewhere in Phoenix, Arizona, a lone fake cow stands in an arcade, urging you to milk it. We’re not even sure what this game is called, to be honest. There are plenty of cow milking games, which is actually kind of frightening to a degree, but there’s something especially off-putting about this particular iteration. Boong-Ga Boong-Ga The most well known bizarre arcade game, Boong-Ga Boong-Ga, better known as Spank ’em. The arcade machine comes with a peripheral in the shape of a butt, which you spank. Really, what more do you expect from Japan? Amusement Washing Machine Does anyone actually like doing their laundry? Lee Wei Chen didn’t, but instead of just grumbling, he decided to do something about it. And so, the Amusement Washing Machine was born. This creation combines the washing machine and arcade game into one design that wouldn’t look too out of place in an arcade. The idea, according to Chen, is to turn all those hours you wasted on Space Invaders into something that can actually help you in the real world. Urine-Fueled Arcade Games Now that washing your clothes is more fun, arcade games tackle another necessity that you probably don’t typically associate with “fun” – going to the bathroom. The Exhibit Bar in London has some unique games for you to play on your potty break, on mounted 12-inch displays above every urinal. And slowly but surely, the concept has started catching on around the world. These games aren’t played with your hands, though, but with an all-natural, ahem, joystick. Compete against the high scores of other men in games like skiing, fueled by your urine. Turnip Strength Tester Museum of Soviet Video Games, among other interesting remnants of the past, sits a game called Repka Silomer, or Turnip Strength Tester. Turnips aren’t exactly famous for their physical strength, making this “game” seem particularly bizarre and possibly LSD-influenced until you learn about the story it’s referencing. The game is based on a Russian folk tale about a farmer who grows a giant turnip that’s so large and so firmly rooted in its place the farmer couldn’t pull it up on his own. The farmer’s wife tries to help, then the granddaughter, the dog, the cat, and finally the mouse, forming a fairy tale conga line that finally managed to pull the stubborn turnip out of the ground. Lobster Catcher Remember those coin-operated “claw” games in the 80’s, where you could snag some fuzzy dice if you moved the robot hand with enough skill? This “Sub Marine Catcher” arcade game allows Japanese gamers to try their hand at catching live lobsters. It takes some skill, because lobsters are wary of being grabbed by an electric claw and they dash away. Ultra Low Dining Table If you’re the kind of destructive person who would rather break everything on the table, there’s a game for you as well. Cho Chabudai Gaeshi!, known in English as Ultra Low Dining Table, is another arcade with a table peripheral. In this case, though, the object of the game is to flip the table peripheral out of anger over an unsatisfying meal, knocking over whoever else happens to be sitting next to it. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies. A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes. Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32. The series revolves around Evie Ethel Garland, who is the daughter of Troy and Donna Garland. However, Troy is an alien from the planet Antereus. She can pause and un-pause time, "gleep" objects into existence, and can transport herself from one place to another. Troy is living on Antereus and is never seen, but Evie talks to him via a crystal cube. Evie is thirteen at the beginning of the series and lives with her mother in Marlowe, California. Visitors to the Garland home include Donna's brother Beano Froelich; the mayor Kyle Applegate, a former actor; Lindsey Selkirk, Evie's best friend; Chris Fuller, Evie's boyfriend; and Buzz, who tends to take things literally. Episodes usually revolve around Evie getting herself out of a situation that she has caused.

Our World
OUR WORLD follows two prep school students (Drew and Owen) as they navigate the excitement and pitfalls of adolescence (i.e. sex, drugs and getting into the college of one's choice). When their alpha male status is threatened through a series of unfortunate and shocking events, adulthood is suddenly thrust upon them. The youths discover how quickly the age of innocence ends. Adding coal to the fire, Owen's mother (a jet-setting, young widow) learns-at the reading of her late husband's will-that her wealth has all but evaporated. A moral dilemma ensues. How far she will go to maintain appearances and her rung on the social ladder? Her partner in crime is a beautiful socialite who seems to have it all: a successful, loving husband; the perfect teenage son (Drew); and a secure place at the top of the social pyramid. With the arrival of her obsessive, status seeking mother (played by a soon to be announced daytime television veteran), her world comes crashing down in a scandal of infidelity, abuse and-potentially-murder.

Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. Using text adapted from Robert Marshalls "Alaska Wilderness: Exploring the Brooks Range" (1929) and images from Expedition Arguk (2013), "The World Beyond the World" aims to celebrate that most ancient and sublime of human pleasures: moving through a mysterious, beautiful, and unknown landscape. In 2013, Expedition Arguk walked and packrafted across 300 miles of wilderness in the Alaska Arctic in order to report on Arctic issues and create public-use media from this far-off but increasingly important region. If you grew up in the 1980s, you probably spent some time in arcades. From Pong to Pac-Man, video arcades had rows upon rows of brightly lit games that captivated the nation.
Hello guys and today we’re talking about the most weird arcade games in the world.
Cow Milking Game
Somewhere in Phoenix, Arizona, a lone fake cow stands in an arcade, urging you to milk it. We’re not even sure what this game is called, to be honest. There are plenty of cow milking games, which is actually kind of frightening to a degree, but there’s something especially off-putting about this particular iteration.
Boong-Ga Boong-Ga
The most well known bizarre arcade game, Boong-Ga Boong-Ga, better known as Spank ’em. The arcade machine comes with a peripheral in the shape of a butt, which you spank. Really, what more do you expect from Japan?
Amusement Washing Machine
Does anyone actually like doing their laundry? Lee Wei Chen didn’t, but instead of just grumbling, he decided to do something about it. And so, the Amusement Washing Machine was born. This creation combines the washing machine and arcade game into one design that wouldn’t look too out of place in an arcade. The idea, according to Chen, is to turn all those hours you wasted on Space Invaders into something that can actually help you in the real world.
Urine-Fueled Arcade Games
Now that washing your clothes is more fun, arcade games tackle another necessity that you probably don’t typically associate with “fun” – going to the bathroom. The Exhibit Bar in London has some unique games for you to play on your potty break, on mounted 12-inch displays above every urinal. And slowly but surely, the concept has started catching on around the world.
These games aren’t played with your hands, though, but with an all-natural, ahem, joystick. Compete against the high scores of other men in games like skiing, fueled by your urine.
Turnip Strength Tester
Museum of Soviet Video Games, among other interesting remnants of the past, sits a game called Repka Silomer, or Turnip Strength Tester. Turnips aren’t exactly famous for their physical strength, making this “game” seem particularly bizarre and possibly LSD-influenced until you learn about the story it’s referencing.
The game is based on a Russian folk tale about a farmer who grows a giant turnip that’s so large and so firmly rooted in its place the farmer couldn’t pull it up on his own. The farmer’s wife tries to help, then the granddaughter, the dog, the cat, and finally the mouse, forming a fairy tale conga line that finally managed to pull the stubborn turnip out of the ground.
Lobster Catcher
Remember those coin-operated “claw” games in the 80’s, where you could snag some fuzzy dice if you moved the robot hand with enough skill?
This “Sub Marine Catcher” arcade game allows Japanese gamers to try their hand at catching live lobsters. It takes some skill, because lobsters are wary of being grabbed by an electric claw and they dash away.
Ultra Low Dining Table
If you’re the kind of destructive person who would rather break everything on the table, there’s a game for you as well. Cho Chabudai Gaeshi!, known in English as Ultra Low Dining Table, is another arcade with a table peripheral. In this case, though, the object of the game is to flip the table peripheral out of anger over an unsatisfying meal, knocking over whoever else happens to be sitting next to it.

This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.
The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies.
A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes.
Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32.

Using text adapted from Robert Marshalls "Alaska Wilderness: Exploring the Brooks Range" (1929) and images from Expedition Arguk (2013), "The World Beyond the World" aims to celebrate that most ancient and sublime of human pleasures: moving through a mysterious, beautiful, and unknown landscape.
In 2013, Expedition Arguk walked and packrafted across 300 miles of wilderness in the Alaska Arctic in order to report on Arctic issues and create public-use media from this far-off but increasingly important region. "The World Beyond the World" was shot during the first third of our trip, which took place entirely in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve. Gates of the Arctic is the second-largest US National Park, but its extraordinary remoteness and challenging weather mean that the Park sees relatively few visitors. There are no guidebooks, trails, campgrounds, or roads. Most of the photos that make up this film are available for 100% free, unrestricted public use at www.expeditionarguk.com
Assembled entirely from stills shot with a Nikon D7100 camera, using a Nikon 55-200 VR and a Tokina 11-17 ultrawide lens. Post-production in Photoshop and After Effects, with countless hours on a Wacom Intuos4 tablet.

Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. Hello guys and today we’re talking about the most weird arcade games in the world.
Cow Milking Game
Somewhere in Phoenix, Arizona, a lone fake cow stands in an arcade, urging you to milk it. We’re not even sure what this game is called, to be honest. There are plenty of cow milking games, which is actually kind of frightening to a degree, but there’s something especially off-putting about this particular iteration.
Boong-Ga Boong-Ga
The most well known bizarre arcade game, Boong-Ga Boong-Ga, better known as Spank ’em. The arcade machine comes with a peripheral in the shape of a butt, which you spank. Really, what more do you expect from Japan?
Amusement Washing Machine
Does anyone actually like doing their laundry? Lee Wei Chen didn’t, but instead of just grumbling, he decided to do something about it. And so, the Amusement Washing Machine was born. This creation combines the washing machine and arcade game into one design that wouldn’t look too out of place in an arcade. The idea, according to Chen, is to turn all those hours you wasted on Space Invaders into something that can actually help you in the real world.
Urine-Fueled Arcade Games
Now that washing your clothes is more fun, arcade games tackle another necessity that you probably don’t typically associate with “fun” – going to the bathroom. The Exhibit Bar in London has some unique games for you to play on your potty break, on mounted 12-inch displays above every urinal. And slowly but surely, the concept has started catching on around the world.
These games aren’t played with your hands, though, but with an all-natural, ahem, joystick. Compete against the high scores of other men in games like skiing, fueled by your urine.
Turnip Strength Tester
Museum of Soviet Video Games, among other interesting remnants of the past, sits a game called Repka Silomer, or Turnip Strength Tester. Turnips aren’t exactly famous for their physical strength, making this “game” seem particularly bizarre and possibly LSD-influenced until you learn about the story it’s referencing.
The game is based on a Russian folk tale about a farmer who grows a giant turnip that’s so large and so firmly rooted in its place the farmer couldn’t pull it up on his own. The farmer’s wife tries to help, then the granddaughter, the dog, the cat, and finally the mouse, forming a fairy tale conga line that finally managed to pull the stubborn turnip out of the ground.
Lobster Catcher
Remember those coin-operated “claw” games in the 80’s, where you could snag some fuzzy dice if you moved the robot hand with enough skill?
This “Sub Marine Catcher” arcade game allows Japanese gamers to try their hand at catching live lobsters. It takes some skill, because lobsters are wary of being grabbed by an electric claw and they dash away.
Ultra Low Dining Table
If you’re the kind of destructive person who would rather break everything on the table, there’s a game for you as well. Cho Chabudai Gaeshi!, known in English as Ultra Low Dining Table, is another arcade with a table peripheral. In this case, though, the object of the game is to flip the table peripheral out of anger over an unsatisfying meal, knocking over whoever else happens to be sitting next to it.

This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide.
Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories.
The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies.
A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes.
Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32.

Using text adapted from Robert Marshalls "Alaska Wilderness: Exploring the Brooks Range" (1929) and images from Expedition Arguk (2013), "The World Beyond the World" aims to celebrate that most ancient and sublime of human pleasures: moving through a mysterious, beautiful, and unknown landscape.
In 2013, Expedition Arguk walked and packrafted across 300 miles of wilderness in the Alaska Arctic in order to report on Arctic issues and create public-use media from this far-off but increasingly important region. "The World Beyond the World" was shot during the first third of our trip, which took place entirely in Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve. Gates of the Arctic is the second-largest US National Park, but its extraordinary remoteness and challenging weather mean that the Park sees relatively few visitors. There are no guidebooks, trails, campgrounds, or roads. Most of the photos that make up this film are available for 100% free, unrestricted public use at www.expeditionarguk.com
Assembled entirely from stills shot with a Nikon D7100 camera, using a Nikon 55-200 VR and a Tokina 11-17 ultrawide lens. Post-production in Photoshop and After Effects, with countless hours on a Wacom Intuos4 tablet.
