Havana (/həˈvænə/; Spanish: La Habana, [la aˈβana]) is the capital city, largest city, province, major port, and leading commercial centre of Cuba. The city proper has a population of 2.1 million inhabitants, and it spans a total of 728.26 km2 (281.18 sq mi) – making it the largest city by area, the most populous city, and the third largest metropolitan area in the Caribbean region. The city extends mostly westward and southward from the bay, which is entered through a narrow inlet and which divides into three main harbours: Marimelena, Guanabacoa and Atarés. The sluggish Almendares River traverses the city from south to north, entering the Straits of Florida a few miles west of the bay.
The city of Havana was founded by the Spanish in the 16th century and due to its strategic location it served as a springboard for the Spanish conquest of the continent becoming a stopping point for the treasure-laden Spanish galleons on the crossing between the New World and the Old World. King Philip II of Spain granted Havana the title of City in 1592. Walls as well as forts were built to protect the old city. The sinking of the U.S. battleship Maine in Havana's harbor in 1898 was the immediate cause of the Spanish–American War.
The Rolling Stones are an English rock band formed in London in 1962. The first settled line-up consisted of Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica), Ian Stewart (piano), Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica), Keith Richards (guitar), Bill Wyman (bass) and Charlie Watts (drums). Stewart was removed from the official line-up in 1963 but continued as an occasional pianist until his death in 1985. Jones departed the band less than a month prior to his death in 1969, having already been replaced by Mick Taylor, who remained until 1975. Subsequently, Ronnie Wood has been on guitar in tandem with Richards. Following Wyman's departure in 1993, Darryl Jones has been the main bassist. Other notable keyboardists for the band have included Nicky Hopkins, active from 1967 to 1982; Billy Preston through the mid 1970s (most prominent on Black and Blue) and Chuck Leavell, active since 1982. The band was first led by Jones but after teaming as the band's songwriters, Jagger and Richards assumed de facto leadership.
Mon Amour is a single by Klaus Dinger + Rhenita Bella Düsseldorf, released in 1985 to coincide with the album Néondian. In reality, Néondian was a solo album for Klaus Dinger, and Mon Amour in effect his debut (and only) solo single. It was also the first Dinger recording to be released on CD, and the last single Dinger would release in his lifetime.
After the abandonment of the third La Düsseldorf album "Mon Amour", Dinger worked much of the material into a solo album, released on Teldec under the pseudonym Klaus Dinger + Rhenita Bella Düsseldorf (hinting at La Düsseldorf's most successful single - Rheinita). Dinger recorded the album alone in his Zeeland Studios using synthesizers before asking for the help of Conny Plank, who had produced La Düsseldorf's debut album in 1976. Plank oversaw the overdubbing of Dinger's basic tracks by studio musicians (including members of Belfegore and Jaki Liebezeit). "Mon Amour" was chosen as the lead single and released on CD and vinyl in September 1985. It failed to chart, and in 1986 was deleted from Teldec's catalogue along with Néondian and all La Düsseldorf releases, upon the label's acquirement by WMG.
Alexandra Ioana Stan (born 10 June 1989 in Constanța) is a Romanian singer. Her career began in 2009 when native music producers Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi heard her singing at a Karaoke bar and proposed her a contract with their own management, Maan Studio. She subsequently released her debut recording "Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)" in late 2009. The song and its video were met with bad reviews, being criticised for their eroticism. Her next single, "Mr. Saxobeat", was composed by Marcel Prodan and Andrei Nemirschi, the duo that discovered her at the Mamaia Music Festival. It became her worldwide breakthrough hit, selling 1,000,000 copies in less than a year. The single went to number one in a total of nine countries and reached the top ten in over thirty countries, such as New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. It became a top-thirty hit in Canada and the United States. She released her debut album in August 2011, entitled Saxobeats, which reached the top thirty album charts in several European countries, including Germany, Austria and Finland. The record spawns her next single "Get Back (ASAP)", which gained success in several more countries, notably in Romania, Finland and France.

Travel video about destination la Habana in Cuba. La Habana, capital of Cuba, the Caribbean metropolis that for many decades has been so little loved and so badly neglected, with breathtakingly restored beauty alongside unbelievable ruins - the queen of the Antilles in a country that lies between sun and socialism, between Rumba and Revolution! As early as 1553, the Spanish Conquistadors chose Havana's harbour as a rendezvous for ships that traded gold and silver in its colonies and, to protect this 'Gateway To The New World' from attack by looters, several forts were built, the oldest of which being the Castello El Morro whose construction took more than two decades. As standards of living progressed, pirates and buccaneers came here and repeatedly destroyed parts of the growing town but ...

https://www.expedia.com/explore/caribbean/cuba.d44 It’s only 93 miles from Florida, and just 13 from the Bahamas, but like the smoke that coils from its legendary cigars, The Republic of Cuba exists in a time and space all its own. Few cities can stir the imagination like Cuba’s capital, Havana, a city preserved by forts, a five-mile seawall, and an imposed embargo, which held back the excesses of the 20th century for over 50 years. Havana’s lure can be hard to resist, but Cuba offers so much more beyond the seductive lights of its capital. In Cuba, a long sandy beach is never far away. Just 12 miles from Havana’s downtown, the Eastern Beaches unroll toward the town of Matanzas, the birthplace of the rumba, and Cárdenas, where the Cuban Flag flew for the very first time. From here...

On December 12th 2014 we began our one week long journey to the land of Cuba. Witnessing history in Havana, walking through remnants of a once vibrant city and talking to the people who have suffered the most, this trip is one I will never forget. Here is just a glimpse into what we saw during our brief time in this changing country. Here are some descriptions of the people featured: 03:09 - This man was the grounds keeper of a cemetery near Matanzas. He showed us the grave of an eight year old boy who was killed by thieves when he tried to protect his mother and grandmother. 03:14 - This woman saw us walking down the street and offered to show us to the small theatre across the street. 03:20 - This woman, Diana (with her husband Jorge, in the background) offered to walk us all the way t...

Follow us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cuba-Absolutely/117958641550184 Havana would not be Havana without its American vintage cars that incessantly roam the streets of the city, most of them as taxis. These cars do not only move in space but also in time, stranded in the course of time with no fixed stop between one era and another. Cubans move from one end of the city to the other in these “time machines.” Getting into one of these “máquinas” or “almendrones,” as they are popularly known, is pure time travel into the past. I believe I should pause here and explain a bit how these taxis work. They travel a set route alo...

We do or kill most anyone to be
Its do or die, it's up to you and me, G.O.D.

Blood drops from the sky like acid rain
From tongue to nervous systematic shame
We do or kill most anyone to be
