On 6/1/2015 around noon we had a run in with a angry woman. We had no idea why she was angry until we saw the video feed. We were traveling south on Monterrey and close to the mall on hwy 111. This female not only turned her vehicle in an attempt to strike rider B, but had the audacity to call the police on us, who then met us at the gas station (total of 5 officers). We were not cited, but as you can see in the video, this lady was very intense and heated over something that was clearly not intentional, with a small child in the back seat and wasted all of our tax dollars by having officers respond to something that clearly was not a blatant attempt to hurt anyone. I hope they find her, and deal with this hostile person accordingly. Attempting to hurt someone with a vehicle is never right.

Palm Desert, California
Palm Desert is a city in Riverside County, California, United States, in the Coachella Valley, approximately 14 miles (23 km) east of Palm Springs and 122 miles (196 km) east of Los Angeles. The population was 48,445 at the 2010 census, up from 41,155 at the 2000 census. The city was one of the state's fastest growing in the 1980s and 1990s, beginning with 11,801 residents in 1980, doubling to 23,650 in 1990, 35,000 in 1995, and nearly double its 1990 population by 2000.
A major center of growth in the Palm Springs area, Palm Desert is a popular retreat for "snowbirds" from colder climates (the Eastern and Northern United States, and Canada), who swell its population by an estimated 31,000 each winter. In the past couple of years Palm Desert has seen more residents become "full-timers", mainly from the coasts and urban centers of California, who have come for both affordable and high-valued home prices.
History
The area was first known as the Old MacDonald Ranch, but the name changed to Palm Village in the 1920s when date palms were planted. Local historians said the main residents of pre-1950 Palm Desert were Cahuilla Indian farmers of the now extinct San Cayetano tribe, but a few members of the Montoya family of Cahuilla/Spanish descent were prominent leaders in civic life.

Desert
A desert is a barren area of land where little precipitation occurs and consequently living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life. The lack of vegetation exposes the unprotected surface of the ground to the processes of denudation. About one third of the land surface of the world is arid or semi-arid. This includes much of the polar regions where little precipitation occurs and which are sometimes called polar deserts or "cold deserts". Deserts can be classified by the amount of precipitation that falls, by the temperature that prevails, by the causes of desertification or by their geographical location.
Deserts are formed by weathering processes as large variations in temperature between day and night put strains on the rocks which consequently break in pieces. Although rain seldom occurs in deserts, there are occasional downpours that can result in flash floods. Rain falling on hot rocks can cause them to shatter and the resulting fragments and rubble strewn over the desert floor is further eroded by the wind. This picks up particles of sand and dust and wafts them aloft in sand or dust storms. Wind-blown sand grains striking any solid object in their path can abrade the surface. Rocks are smoothed down, and the wind sorts sand into uniform deposits. The grains end up as level sheets of sand or are piled high in billowing sand dunes. Other deserts are flat, stony plains where all the fine material has been blown away and the surface consists of a mosaic of smooth stones. These areas are known as desert pavements and little further erosion takes place. Other desert features include rock outcrops, exposed bedrock and clays once deposited by flowing water. Temporary lakes may form and salt pans may be left when waters evaporate. There may be underground sources of water in the form of springs and seepages from aquifers. Where these are found, oases can occur.

On 6/1/2015 around noon we had a run in with a angry woman. We had no idea why she was angry until we saw the video feed. We were traveling south on Monterrey and close to the mall on hwy 111. This female not only turned her vehicle in an attempt to strike rider B, but had the audacity to call the police on us, who then met us at the gas station (total of 5 officers). Located 114 miles east of Los Angeles off the I-10 and 111 freeways, this balmy desert oasis makes a charming weekend escape.
A few of my favorite Palm Springs attractions are the famous Palm Springs Tram, that whisks you 8,500 feet above Mount San Jacinto, the Desert Adventures Jeep Tour, which takes you into the California desert and along the San Andreas Fault, and the educational Living Desert zoo and botanical gardens, where you can get a close-up look at native desert plants and desert animals.
If you're looking to stay the weekend, Palm Springs hotels such as Desert Riviera Hotel and Horizon Hotel cater to the swanky crowd looking for a bit of retro chic. Both are located in the Heritage District, which is home to many of Palm Springs Mid Century Modern buildings.
Palm Springs resorts like Rancho Las Palmas and the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa are known for their great pools, golf courses and spas.
For a price, you can even stay the night at Frank Sinatra's former Twin Palms estate, or the honeymoon hideaway of Elvis Presley. Daily house tours of the Elvis home ($25 weekdays and $35 weekends) are offered by appointment.
