So, you’ve found yourself in the nightmare situation of having to do all of your revision in the last month before your exams. Not ideal, I’ll give you that, but it is perfectly possible to get some revision done before your exams.
You won’t have time to cover the exam syllabus in detail, otherwise you’ll never get anything done for your other topics. Go through past papers and find out which type of question that they ask most often; you should focus your revision on these topics, especially the ones that you find tougher. Make summaries of them and then go through the type of questions you get asked to make sure that you know how to apply the information as well as just recall it.
Another key thing to do is prioritise. If you find a subject easier then make it lower down your list of priorities, even if it means that you spend more time doing the subject you loathe. Of course, this doesn’t mean completely neglect your other subjects but try and focus on that particular one that you’re struggling with. Estimating how much time you'll need to spend on each topic/subject makes planning your time a much easier task.
Speaking of which, make sure you plan out all of your study time. Making sure that you know what you're going to study during that session will improve your productivity and avoid wasting time doing things like trying to decide what you feel like doing. It also means that you can keep track of what you've already studied so you don't end up missing things out. You could tick things off the specification as you study them as a kind of tracker.
Don't limit yourself to just regular study sessions. Going through flashcards during ‘dead time’ like waiting for the bus is a great way to maximise what little time you have to study. Other examples of this could be listening to podcasts on the way to school or watching videos about a topic instead of YouTube before bed. You could also stick things up on your wall (like post it notes) and repeat them to yourself whilst getting ready in a morning.
Another important thing is doing practice papers! Even if you somehow managed to memorise the entire syllabus, it's no good if you don't know how to apply the information. Do timed papers for every subject to test that you are actually remembering the knowledge that you cover as opposed to just forgetting the next day. Even just making quizzes from multiple choice questions (preferably from the exam) is a great way to go over content and remind yourself of it.
Upon saying all this, don't forget to relax. You can't change how much time you have so don't forget to get a break every now and then. Getting burnt out can be just as dangerous as not revising at all so don't forget to take some time off sometimes. Revision at this point is about making the most of the time you have, something which is perfectly possible with the right management. But no matter how long you have left, good luck with your revision and your exams!

There is a BIG jump between GCSE and A-Level.
Lots of students find this a massive shock and sometimes find themselves sitting in class lost, not following what the teacher is saying or wishing they had chosen a different subject.
This book is designed to help you get started on some of the new content and take your GCSE knowledge to a higher level. Because if you managed to get through GCSE not understanding a topic or skipping over some bits you may find you need the extra help.
I’m constantly telling you the best way to learn is by practicing questions, so I’ve made you a book full of practice questions.
135 multiple choice questions to reflect the style of exam questions, 60 equations for you to balance (in 3 different formats), 65 compounds for you to work out the formula for and a lots of things that you need to recall for A-Level.
This book is not designed as a text book or revision guide, but as a workbook. There are lots of good (and bad) expensive and free revision guides out there, on my YouTube channel and other great websites. So there is no point in me adding to the masses.
Taking some GCSE topics, a bit further and introducing some new topics for A-Level. This is not a complete list of all the GCSE topics that also come up at A-Level; just enough to keep you (Very) busy over the summer and give you an advantage when you start year 12.

A-level
The General Certificate of Education Advanced Level (short form: GCE Advanced Level), or more commonly, the A Level, is a school leaving qualification offered by educational bodies in the United Kingdom and the British Crown dependencies to students completing secondary or pre-university education. A number of countries, including Singapore, Kenya, Mauritius and Zimbabwe have developed qualifications with the same name as and a similar format to the British A Levels. Obtaining A Level or equivalent qualifications is generally required for university entrance.
A Levels are generally worked towards over two years and split into two parts, with one part studied in each year. The first part is known as the Advanced Subsidiary Level, A1 Level or AS Level (the AS Level acronym was previously used for the separate Advanced Supplementary Level qualification). The second part is known as the A2 Level and is more in depth and academically rigorous than the A1 Level. The AS Level is a qualification in its own right, and the AS Level combined with the A2 Level forms the complete A Level qualification. Up to June 2009 a third Special / Advanced Extension Award level was available for the brightest candidates.

So, you’ve found yourself in the nightmare situation of having to do all of your revision in the last month before your exams. Not ideal, I’ll give you that, but it is perfectly possible to get some revision done before your exams.
You won’t have time to cover the exam syllabus in detail, otherwise you’ll never get anything done for your other topics. Go through past papers and find out which type of question that they ask most often; you should focus your revision on these topics, especially the ones that you find tougher. Make summaries of them and then go through the type of questions you get asked to make sure that you know how to apply the information as well as just recall it.
Another key thing to do is prioritise. If you find a subject easier then make it lower down your list of priorities, even if it means that you spend more time doing the subject you loathe. Of course, this doesn’t mean completely neglect your other subjects but try and focus on that particular one that you’re struggling with. Estimating how much time you'll need to spend on each topic/subject makes planning your time a much easier task.
Speaking of which, make sure you plan out all of your study time. Making sure that you know what you're going to study during that session will improve your productivity and avoid wasting time doing things like trying to decide what you feel like doing. It also means that you can keep track of what you've already studied so you don't end up missing things out. You could tick things off the specification as you study them as a kind of tracker.
Don't limit yourself to just regular study sessions. Going through flashcards during ‘dead time’ like waiting for the bus is a great way to maximise what little time you have to study. Other examples of this could be listening to podcasts on the way to school or watching videos about a topic instead of YouTube before bed. You could also stick things up on your wall (like post it notes) and repeat them to yourself whilst getting ready in a morning.
Another important thing is doing practice papers! Even if you somehow managed to memorise the entire syllabus, it's no good if you don't know how to apply the information. Do timed papers for every subject to test that you are actually remembering the knowledge that you cover as opposed to just forgetting the next day. Even just making quizzes from multiple choice questions (preferably from the exam) is a great way to go over content and remind yourself of it.
Upon saying all this, don't forget to relax. You can't change how much time you have so don't forget to get a break every now and then. Getting burnt out can be just as dangerous as not revising at all so don't forget to take some time off sometimes. Revision at this point is about making the most of the time you have, something which is perfectly possible with the right management. But no matter how long you have left, good luck with your revision and your exams!

So, you’ve found yourself in the nightmare situation of having to do all of your revision in the last month before your exams. Not ideal, I’ll give you that, but it is perfectly possible to get some revision done before your exams.
You won’t have time to cover the exam syllabus in detail, otherwise you’ll never get anything done for your other topics. Go through past papers and find out which type of question that they ask most often; you should focus your revision on these topics, especially the ones that you find tougher. Make summaries of them and then go through the type of questions you get asked to make sure that you know how to apply the information as well as just recall it.
Another key thing to do is prioritise. If you find a subject easier then make it lower down your list of priorities, even if it means that you spend more time doing the subject you loathe. Of course, this doesn’t mean completely neglect your other subjects but try and focus on that particular one that you’re struggling with. Estimating how much time you'll need to spend on each topic/subject makes planning your time a much easier task.
Speaking of which, make sure you plan out all of your study time. Making sure that you know what you're going to study during that session will improve your productivity and avoid wasting time doing things like trying to decide what you feel like doing. It also means that you can keep track of what you've already studied so you don't end up missing things out. You could tick things off the specification as you study them as a kind of tracker.
Don't limit yourself to just regular study sessions. Going through flashcards during ‘dead time’ like waiting for the bus is a great way to maximise what little time you have to study. Other examples of this could be listening to podcasts on the way to school or watching videos about a topic instead of YouTube before bed. You could also stick things up on your wall (like post it notes) and repeat them to yourself whilst getting ready in a morning.
Another important thing is doing practice papers! Even if you somehow managed to memorise the entire syllabus, it's no good if you don't know how to apply the information. Do timed papers for every subject to test that you are actually remembering the knowledge that you cover as opposed to just forgetting the next day. Even just making quizzes from multiple choice questions (preferably from the exam) is a great way to go over content and remind yourself of it.
Upon saying all this, don't forget to relax. You can't change how much time you have so don't forget to get a break every now and then. Getting burnt out can be just as dangerous as not revising at all so don't forget to take some time off sometimes. Revision at this point is about making the most of the time you have, something which is perfectly possible with the right management. There is a BIG jump between GCSE and A-Level.
Lots of students find this a massive shock and sometimes find themselves sitting in class lost, not following what the teacher is saying or wishing they had chosen a different subject.
This book is designed to help you get started on some of the new content and take your GCSE knowledge to a higher level. Because if you managed to get through GCSE not understanding a topic or skipping over some bits you may find you need the extra help.
I’m constantly telling you the best way to learn is by practicing questions, so I’ve made you a book full of practice questions.
135 multiple choice questions to reflect the style of exam questions, 60 equations for you to balance (in 3 different formats), 65 compounds for you to work out the formula for and a lots of things that you need to recall for A-Level.
This book is not designed as a text book or revision guide, but as a workbook. There are lots of good (and bad) expensive and free revision guides out there, on my YouTube channel and other great websites. So there is no point in me adding to the masses.
Taking some GCSE topics, a bit further and introducing some new topics for A-Level. This is not a complete list of all the GCSE topics that also come up at A-Level; just enough to keep you (Very) busy over the summer and give you an advantage when you start year 12.
All the teaching, all the new content, is available for free on my YouTube channel, this book is for you to practice and learn. The best way to approach this is to watch the teaching video, or after class try a section and check the answers.
