The Ram 2500 has toughened-up its look with its first local special edition.
Australian outfit, American Special Vehicles, which converts the US-built truck to right-hand drive, has added some styling touches to the Ram 2500.
A black finish has been extensively applied to the grille, front and rear bumpers, side mirrors and exterior badging.
The 2500 Code Black has also replaced the 18-inch alloy wheels from the standard version and is equipped with enormous 20-inch black alloy wheels that hold Nitto all-terrain tyres, along with heavy-duty wheel arch flares to accommodate the upsized wheels.
Ram has upped the price of the Code Black edition to $149,500 before on-road costs compared to the $139,500 regular 2500.

Power for the six-seater comes from the same 6.7-litre Cummins six-cylinder turbo diesel unit that produces 276kW and a barnstorming 1084Nm and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Code Black has the same load capabilities as the stock 2500 with a payload of 913kg and a maximum braked towing capacity - using a pintle - of 6942kg.

Why would anyone want one of these fossil fuel guzzling monstrosities ?,,,, To me they simply represent 8 metres of poor taste and difficult parking options.
Over priced, over yanked and over here. Parking spaces are becoming smaller, and traffic way more congested and some people advocate these prehistoric behemoths where most, like in America, will rarely carry more than the weekly groceries.
Whinge whinge whinge. Try towing anything with your prissy Prius. Or putting any weight in the back. These vehicles have a place in the market for those that need a big pick up with a great towing capacity Why don't you just come out and say you hate America and Americans. That's what you really mean... isn't it?
Actually, I think buzzard is a septic....Canyonero Canyonero, do the Simpsons also hate yanks?
Have you ever left Darlinghurst champ? These awesome beasts are quite common in Scone, Hunter Valley, Bowral, Moss Vale etc for people who need to tow horse floats or farming equipment. Stick to your Nissan Leaf.
Yes, you are. Except I would bet that farmers less sales tax LCT don't pay anywhere near $140K for the privilege.
Can we just make one thing clear here....Ram has not set the price at $149K, ASV has! When a new 2500 Ram limited fully loaded maxes out at circa $71K USD or $93K AUD, does it seriously then cost a further $56K to get it here and transfer to RHD? This truck should be available out of the factory RHD and they would have a great market in OZ!
looks Ugly
I think a tattoo saying I have a tiny penis would be much cheaper ...
To the critics - why does your argument not continue into larger trucks such as furniture removal types, or food delivery trucks that feed you. Drive comments are a race to the bottom of the IQ toilet.
