BPF may refer to:
Brendan Gregg http://linux.conf.au/schedule/presentation/96/ A world of new capabilities is emerging for the Linux 4.x series, thanks to enhancements that have been included in Linux for the Berkeley Packet Filter (BPF): an in-kernel virtual machine that can execute user space-defined programs. It is finding uses for security auditing and enforcement, enhancing networking (including eXpress Data Path), and performance observability and troubleshooting. Many new open source tools that have been written in the past 12 months for performance analysis that use BPF. Tracing superpowers have finally arrived for Linux! For its use with tracing, BPF provides the programmable capabilities to the existing t racing frameworks: kprobes, uprobes, and tracepoints. In particular, BPF allows timestamps...
Esta série trata dos aspectos gerais de Boas Práticas no sentido de promover um treinamento efetivo das recomendações e exigências governamentais associadas às BPF. De maneira abrangente apresenta as noções básicas de BPF em um projeto de 6 volumes.
On this HakTip, Shannon Morse reviews options to download and display Wireshark windows, as well as the BPF Syntax. We had a comment from our Youtube page from a fan who said "How do I download WireShark in Linux?" While I'm simply using an executable install on my Windows PC, we also walked through a Linux installation previously on HakTip 64. I highly suggest installing the WinPCap software that is included with Wireshark (which lets Wireshark put your computer into promiscuous mode). By letting your network card sniff traffic in promiscuous mode, you can not only see the traffic coming to you, but also going to all sorts of targets on your network. Let's take a closer look at the main windows of Wireshark this week. First up in the Packet List. This is the main window, color coded a...

Thomas Graf - Co-Founder & CTO, Covalent IO This talk will start with a deep dive and hands on examples of BPF, possibly the most promising low level technology to address challenges in application and network security, tracing, and visibility. We will discuss how BPF evolved from a simple bytecode language to filter raw sockets for tcpdump to the a JITable virtual machine capable of universally extending and instrumenting both the Linux kernel and user space applications. The introduction is followed by a concrete example of how the Cilium open source project applies BPF to solve networking, security and load balancing for highly distributed applications. We will discuss and demonstrate how Cilium with the help of BPF can be combined with distributed system orchestration such as Docker t...
Slides: http://www.devconf.cz/slides/devconf-mmap.pdf This talk will cover internals of the PF_PACKET socket in the Linux kernel, in particular the packet mmap() mechanism ("zero-copy") that is used to improve packet capturing and transmission performance from user space. In addition to that, the Berkeley Packet Filter will be partially covered with its built-in kernel space "virtual machine" and just-in-time compiler. As an application on top of that, the netsniff-ng toolkit will be presented (http://netsniff-ng.org/), which can be used to facilitate a network developer's daily kernel plumbing, but also the daily work of system administrators or security consultants.
Baby I don't need to know who
Your big love was yesterday
Oh, and there's no way to tell
If you and I are gonna
Make it all the way
'Cause what is past is past
And what will last
Mmm, girl, it's gonna last
All that matters
Is today and tomorrow
Baby, baby, maybe just today
The times they are a changing
Girl, with ever quickening speed
Ah, but today I wanna give you all
The love and laughter that you need
'Cause what is done is done
And what's to come
Mmm, baby, let it come
All that matters
Is today and tomorrow
Baby, baby, maybe just today
Don't be afraid to live for the moment
Trust me and love me this way
If you keep looking back or thinking ahead
Baby, we're gonna miss out on today
'Cause what is past is past
And what will last
Mmm, girl, it's gonna last
All that matters
Is today and tomorrow
Baby, baby, maybe just today
All that matters
Is today and tomorrow
Baby, baby, maybe just today
All that matters
Is today and tomorrow
