This is the moment a ferocious lion tried to topple a safari car in an Indian wildlife park.
A gripping video shows two lions attacking the car in which a group of tourists was travelling. The video of the incident was captured by a driver, who was driving a safari bus in Bannerghatta Biological Park in Karnataka, India.
One of the lions is seen pouncing on the car and trying to bite off the rear glass while the other lion stands near the front wheel.
The shocked cries of the panicked tourists are clearly audible in the video.
But the quick witted car safari driver managed to speed away before the situation got out of hand.

Safari
A safari /səˈfɑːri/ is an overland journey, usually a trip by tourists to Africa. In the past, the trip was often a big-game hunt, but today, safari often refers to trips to observe and photograph wildlife—or hiking and sight-seeing as well.
Etymology
The Swahili word safari means journey, originally from the Arabic سفر (safar) meaning a journey; the verb for "to travel" in Swahili is kusafiri. These words are used for any type of journey, e.g. by bus from Nairobi to Mombasa or by ferry from Dar es Salaam to Unguja. Safari entered the English language at the end of the 1850s thanks to Richard Francis Burton, the famous explorer.
The Regimental March of the King's African Rifles was 'Funga Safari', literally 'tie up the March', or, in other words, pack up equipment ready to march.

Jinja Safari are a self-produced & recorded band based in Sydney, Australia who draw from "afropop rhythms, (and) tumbling island guitar" to create African-inspired "dreamy folk pop, with a melodic richness comparable to acts like Sufjan Stevens, Animal Collective and Sigur Ros". They are known for their energetic live shows.
History
Formed in 2010, Jinja Safari was initially a duo of Marcus Azon & Pepa Knight. The two met at a beach party on the Central Coast of New South Wales in early 2010.
By June 2010, Jinja Safari had received high rotation airplay on both national Australian broadcaster Triple J and plays on UK's BBC Radio 6 Music. In July 2010 they won the Triple J Unearthed competition, awarding the band a spot at Splendour In The Grass Festival 2010. Jinja Safari's first national Australian tour was supporting Art vs. Science in August 2010.
Jinja Safari spent the majority of 2011 touring Australia, playing sold out shows in support of their 2nd EP, 'Mermaids & Other Sirens'. The 5 track EP was released for free to fans, one song a month over 5 months. The band also toured Australia with both Boy & Bear and Menomena whilst continuing to be a mainstay at major Australian festivals in 2011, playing Big Day Out, Good Vibrations, Falls Festival in that year. They have been nominated twice for Best Live Music Act in the 'Sydney Music, Arts & Culture' Awards in 2010 & 2011

A gripping video shows two lions attacking the car in which a group of tourists was travelling. The video of the incident was captured by a driver, who was driving a safari bus in Bannerghatta Biological Park in Karnataka, India. One of the lions is seen pouncing on the car and trying to bite off the rear glass while the other lion stands near the front wheel. This is the moment a ferocious lion tried to topple a safari car in an Indian wildlife park.
A gripping video shows two lions attacking the car in which a group of tourists was travelling. The video of the incident was captured by a driver, who was driving a safari bus in Bannerghatta Biological Park in Karnataka, India.
One of the lions is seen pouncing on the car and trying to bite off the rear glass while the other lion stands near the front wheel.
The shocked cries of the panicked tourists are clearly audible in the video.
But the quick witted car safari driver managed to speed away before the situation got out of hand.

This video is from the "American Cockroach" series.
I raised the twenty different species that form the cast.
"The most perversely entertaining piece in the show ["Ecotopia" at ICP, NY], Catherine Chalmers' video Safari, straddles the border between the real and the fanciful. This wordless, hallucinatory nature documentary is not precisely natural, nor exactly a documentary. Following the travails of a cockroach through a studio-constructed tropical paradise, its extreme close-ups present a world in which bizarre plants and animals engage in a constant dance of eat and be eaten. At the conclusion, a hopelessly anthropomorphic frog consumes the insect "hero" lasciviously spreading its front legs as if inviting applause. How does Chalmers' over-the-top fable of consumption fit into the program of "Ecotopia?" It doesn't have a message - certainly not one that could be reduced to a position paper or an Al Gore - style "truth." Nor is it a call to action. Instead, like many of the most interesting works in the show, the video is oblique, depicting the natural world as utterly alien, yet strangely alluring. Successful art responds to social issues by complicating rather than simplifying them; the value of such projects lies precisely in this ambivalence."

This is the moment a ferocious lion tried to topple a safari car in an Indian wildlife park.
A gripping video shows two lions attacking the car in which a group of tourists was travelling. The video of the incident was captured by a driver, who was driving a safari bus in Bannerghatta Biological Park in Karnataka, India.
One of the lions is seen pouncing on the car and trying to bite off the rear glass while the other lion stands near the front wheel.
The shocked cries of the panicked tourists are clearly audible in the video.
But the quick witted car safari driver managed to speed away before the situation got out of hand.

"The most perversely entertaining piece in the show ["Ecotopia" at ICP, NY], Catherine Chalmers' video Safari, straddles the border between the real and the fanciful. This wordless, hallucinatory nature documentary is not precisely natural, nor exactly a documentary. Following the travails of a cockroach through a studio-constructed tropical paradise, its extreme close-ups present a world in which bizarre plants and animals engage in a constant dance of eat and be eaten. At the conclusion, a hopelessly anthropomorphic frog consumes the insect "hero" lasciviously spreading its front legs as if inviting applause. How does Chalmers' over-the-top fable of consumption fit into the program of "Ecotopia?" It doesn't have a message - certainly not one that could be reduced to a position paper or an Al Gore - style "truth." Nor is it a call to action. Instead, like many of the most interesting works in the show, the video is oblique, depicting the natural world as utterly alien, yet strangely alluring. Successful art responds to social issues by complicating rather than simplifying them; the value of such projects lies precisely in this ambivalence."
