Idiocracy is a 2006 American satirical science fiction comedy film directed by Mike Judge and starring Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard, and Terry Crews. The film tells the story of two people who take part in a top-secret military hibernation experiment, only to awaken 500 years later in a dystopian society where advertising, commercialism, and cultural anti-intellectualism have run rampant and that is devoid of intellectual curiosity, social responsibility, and coherent notions of justice and human rights.
The film was not screened for critics, and 20th Century Fox was accused of abandoning the film. Despite its lack of a major theatrical release, the film has achieved a cult following.
A U.S. Army librarian, Corporal Joe Bauers (Luke Wilson), and a prostitute, Rita (Maya Rudolph), are selected for a suspended animation experiment on grounds of 'average' appearance, intelligence, behavior, etc. Rita's pimp "Upgrayedd" (Brad Jordan) has been bribed to allow her to take part. The experiment is forgotten when the officer in charge (Michael McCafferty) is arrested for having started his own prostitution ring under Upgrayedd's tutelage. Five hundred years later, Joe and Rita's suspension chambers are unearthed by the collapse of a mountain-sized garbage pile, and Joe's suspension chamber breaks through the wall of Frito Pendejo's (Dax Shepard) apartment, whose occupant expels him.

The film tells the story of two ordinary people who are taken into a top-secret military hibernation experiment that goes awry, and awaken 500 years in the future. They discover that the world has degenerated into a dystopia where advertising, commercialism, and cultural anti-intellectualism run rampant and dysgenic pressure has resulted in a uniformly stupid human society devoid of individual responsibility or consequences.
I was trying to test my editing skills and decided to re-edit the Idiocracy trailer with the dvd i own. But the audio is still the original.

The English language had deteriorated into a hybrid of hillbilly, valley girl, inner city slang, and various grunts. Joe was able to understand them but when he spoke in an ordinary voice he sounded pompous and faggy to them. Idiocracy (2006) Written/Directed: Mike Judge (story) Etan Cohen (screenplay)
Nine years ago, this film was a broad farce, a parody of the "Jackass Generation." Now, with Donald Trump on the fast track to the White House, this film feels more like a History Channel documentary from 2024. I'm taking requests for October. I want you to tell me what really dark, mentally scarring horror movies you want me to review on the show, and Why! We're not talking stuff like Freddy Kruger or Michael Meyers. I'm talking movies so dark and horrific, it takes years of therapy and cheap whiskey to overcome. I'll pick the winners at random, and read your comments on the show. Comment on this video here, message me on Facebook, or even email me at filmrantseat@cox.net. I'll be waiting to hear from you. http://www.samuraicomics.com/ https://www.facebook.com/filmrantsEAT http://www.an...
Silence
Cold skin
Black mind
Blue light
Broken
Shut down
Knuckles
All white
Babel
Cold fact
Core mine
Black gold
Failure
Lockdown
Gun-hands
All sold
We're waiting, so close your eyes
Relax and take a deep breath now
Believe the lies
When you wake up you'll be democratized
Violence
Cold pin
Blood crust
Blinded
Damp sheets
Needles
Stale smiles
Sick bed
Guiltknife
Scarsoil
Sinstain
Killchrome
Footbare
Gone wrong
Blue lights
Bring me home
We're waiting, so close your eyes
Relax and take a deep breath now
Believe the lies
When you wake up we'll all seem nice
So close your eyes
Just take another deep breath now
And fantasize
Pretend the world we're forming
Is a paradise
Why can't I close my eyes?
Why can't I just be hypnotized,
Industrialized and privatized?
All mesmerized
'Cause I can see
And what I see around me makes me paralyzed
Yes I can see
And what I see is not worthy a democracy
It's uncivilized
So please close my eyes
I don't want to see this undemocratic,
semi-automatic mediocracy and hypocracy
Pretending we're free
Under plastic flags waving dependency
For this idiocracy
