Arrival or Arrivals may refer to:
Arrival is the fourth studio album by the Swedish pop group ABBA. It was originally released in Sweden on 11 October 1976 by Polar Records. Recording sessions began in August 1975 and continued until September 1976 at Metronome and Glen studios in Stockholm, Sweden. It became one of ABBA's most successful albums to date, producing three of their biggest hits: "Dancing Queen", "Money, Money, Money" and "Knowing Me, Knowing You". Upon its original 1976 release, "Fernando", released as a single earlier the same year, did not appear on Arrival, but it was included on the South African, Australian, and New Zealand versions. Arrival was the best-selling album of 1977 in the United Kingdom and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
The album was first released on Compact disc in 1984 and then re-issued in digitally remastered form a total of four times; first in 1997, then in 2001, 2005 as part of The Complete Studio Recordings box set, and again in 2006 (as a special Deluxe Edition).
Arrival is an album by American Jazz pianist Horace Parlan featuring performances recorded in 1973 and released on the Danish-based SteepleChase label. It was Parlan's first album for the label and his first recording as a leader for a decade following his break with the Blue Note label.
Environment variables are a set of dynamic named values that can affect the way running processes will behave on a computer.
They are part of the environment in which a process runs. For example, a running process can query the value of the TEMP environment variable to discover a suitable location to store temporary files, or the HOME or USERPROFILE variable to find the directory structure owned by the user running the process.
They were introduced in their modern form in 1979 with Version 7 Unix, so are included in all Unix operating system flavors and variants from that point onward including Linux and OS X. From PC DOS 2.0 in 1982, all succeeding Microsoft operating systems including Microsoft Windows, and OS/2 also have included them as a feature, although with somewhat different syntax, usage and standard variable names.
In all Unix and Unix-like systems, each process has its own separate set of environment variables. By default, when a process is created, it inherits a duplicate environment of its parent process, except for explicit changes made by the parent when it creates the child. At the API level, these changes must be done between running fork
and exec
. Alternatively, from command shells such as bash, a user can change environment variables for a particular command invocation by indirectly invoking it via env
or using the ENVIRONMENT_VARIABLE=VALUE <command>
notation. All Unix operating system flavors, DOS, and Windows have environment variables; however, they do not all use the same variable names. A running program can access the values of environment variables for configuration purposes.
"Random" is the first CD single from UK hip hop artist Lady Sovereign, following the release of her 12" vinyl single "Ch Ching (Cheque 1 2)" in 2004. It was her second and last single for Casual Records in 2005.
The single was Lady Sovereign's first to make the UK top 75, peaking at #73 there and spending one week within the top 75. After the single release, she was signed by Def Jam Recordings and this single is considered to be her breakthrough into the mainstream market.
"Random" was featured on an episode of The O.C. aired on April 27, 2006, playing in the background during the senior prom in Season 3, Episode 23 - "The Party Favor" and was featured as a track on Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix. A remix of this song was played on the "Jamalot" episode of CSI: NY.
The first rapped line in the song references the hit song "Tipsy" by J-Kwon.

Random were a five-member Australian R&B vocal group formed in 2005 by Xylocaine "Xy" Latu, Donald Tauvao, his cousins Tasesa Junior "TJ" Tauvao and Wayne Tauvao; and Andy-Iese "Jesse" Tolo-Paepae. They won the first season of The X Factor (Australia). In October that year they issued their debut self-titled album, which peaked in the ARIA Albums Chart top 100. Their first single, "Put Your Hands Up", peaked at No. 7 on the related ARIA Singles Chart. A follow up single, "Are You Ready", reached No. 36. The group disbanded in 2007 but briefly reunited in October 2009 for a one-off performance.
Random formed at the Brisbane auditions for The X Factor (Australia) in December 2004. Initially Xylocaine "Xy" Latu and Andy-Iese "Jesse" Tolo-Paepae were to compete as a duo, Rough Diamonds; while Tasesa Junior "TJ" Tauvao wanted to enter as a solo artist: he was attending with his brother Wayne Tauvao and their cousin, Donald Tauvao – all three were former members of a vocal trio, 315. Prior to auditioning all five agreed to compete as a combined R&B vocal quintet and named themselves, Random. The group were mentored by Mark Holden and won the TV talent contest.

Later, it was announced that the original lineup of Mest (Tony Lovato, Jeremiah Rangel, Matt Lovato, and Nick Gilger) would be getting back together.
Cousins Matt Lovato and Tony Lovato formed the band together in October 1995. The band's last guitarist, Jeremiah Rangel, joined the band in 1998. Their previous guitarist was Steve Lovato, Tony Lovato's brother. Nick Gigler joined the band in 1997.
In 1998, the band self-released Mo' Money, Mo' 40z. Their debut album on Maverick Records, Wasting Time, was released in July 2000 and Destination Unknown in 2001. They toured as an opening band for Goldfinger on July 20, 2002 in Las Vegas and then a few months later, released a DVD called The Show Must Go Off! in January 2003. Later that same year, the band released their self-titled album, which featured the single Jaded (These Years), featuring Benji Madden of Good Charlotte.

What's going on these days
I havent seen you in so long
What went on those days
Why weren't we getting along
What went on those days
I've missed you so much
All those times
That we drank way too much
Everything's gonna be alright
Let's everybody get along tonight
There's nothing wrong with peace and unity
Cuz thats what makes a person free
To be themselves and thats what we need
What's going on these days
I haven't seen you in so long
What went on those days
Why weren't we getting along
Now that you're back
I'm so happy to see you
Will play some shows
Drink some beer and smoke a bong or two
Everything's gonna be alright
Let's everybody get along tonight
It doesn't matter if you're black or white
So move on move on move on move on
That's where I stand
no regrets no regrets no regrets no regrets
Just hold my hand
Everything's gonna be alright
Let's everybody get along tonight
It doesn't matter if you're black or white
Cuz thats what makes a person free
To be themselves and thats what we need
That's what we need
So move on move on move on move on
That's where I stand
no regrets no regrets no regrets no regrets
Just hold my hand
