Beckah Shae

Rebecca Shocklee (born September 1, 1978, née Wilson), better known by her stage name Beckah Shae, is an American Christian-pop-worship singer-songwriter. She is signed to the independent record label Shae Shoc Records she co-owns with her husband and producer Jack Shocklee.

History

Shae received her first Dove Award nomination in 2011 in the category of Urban Recorded Song of the Year for "Life". She also appeared on Jonny Lang's Turn Around (A&M), TobyMac's "Funky Jesus Music", Tonight (ForeFront) and joined him onstage for a performance at the 2010 GMA Dove Awards. Shae co-wrote several songs and featured on the title-track of Montell Jordan's album, Shake Heaven (Victory World Music), currently featured on Byron "Mr. Talkbox" Chambers EP Show Me the Way "Everything Works Together". Shae also appears on the movie soundtrack I'm in Love with a Church Girl. She has shared her testimony on CBNs -700 Club and RevolutionTV, Hosted JCTV's "1 Music Village", and has appeared on TBN's "Praise The Lord" 2011 Christmas Special with Donnie McClurkin.

Holy Holy

"Holy Holy" is a song by David Bowie, originally released as a single in January 1971. It was recorded in November 1970, after the completion of The Man Who Sold the World, in the perceived absence of a clear single from that album. Like Bowie's two previous singles, it sold poorly and failed to chart.

At the time Marc Bolan's Tyrannosaurus Rex was a significant source of inspiration for Bowie. On this track, according to NME editors Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray, "Bolan's influence is so much in the ascendant that it virtually amounts to a case of demonic possession". The single's B-side was another Tyrannosaurus Rex flavoured song called "Black Country Rock". Bowie performed "Holy Holy" on Britain's Granada Television wearing a dress, which he would also wear on the cover of the soon-to-be-released UK edition of The Man Who Sold the World.

A more frantic version of the song was recorded in 1971 for The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. It was dropped from the album, but subsequently appeared as the B-side to "Diamond Dogs" in 1974. This version was also released as a bonus track on the Rykodisc reissue of The Man Who Sold the World in 1990 (despite the sleeve notes referring to it as the original cut), as well as on the Ziggy Stardust – 30th Anniversary Reissue bonus disc in 2002. Bowie himself vetoed the inclusion of the original at a late stage, and the single remained the only official release of the 1970 recording until 2015, when it was included on Re:Call 1, part of the Five Years (1969–1973) compilation.

And I

"And I" is a song written by American R&B singer Ciara, and produced by Adonis Shropshire for Ciara's first album, Goodies (2004). It was released as the album's fourth and final single on August 30, 2005 (see 2005 in music) in North America.

The song was originally the third choice for the fourth single. Ciara has mentioned in an interview that "Thug Style", "Hotline" or "Pick up the Phone" would be the fourth single, but when Ciara suggested "And I" to executives at her previous record label LaFace, they were unhappy because they wanted "Next to You" to be the fourth single.

Chart performance

At the time of the U.S. release of "And I", Ciara's collaboration with Bow Wow, "Like You", and her collaboration with Missy Elliott, "Lose Control", were at the height of their popularity. "And I" peaked at 96 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and 27 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, which were poor positions compared to those attained by the first three singles from the album Goodies. It was not released outside North America because of this, and it is Ciara's least successful single.
