In this trip report, I fly from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne on board Etihad's flagship A380-800 in First Class. I start off in transit at Abu Dhabi after coming off a flight from London. After clearing transit security, I have a look at the new Etihad First Class lounge. It's only a short stay, but I have a quick tour of the lounge and manage a haircut and massage treatment before I board my flight. On board, I review the First Class Apartment product. It's absolutely an amazing product that currently is the best First Class hard product in the sky. The size and the quality of the Apartment is simply stunning. I sample a number of items from the on-board menu, surf the net on the plane, and take a shower at 41,000 feet. The First Class bed and the on-board lounge facilities are looked at as well. The flight sadly comes to an end as I make my domestic transit in Melbourne for my flight to Adelaide.

On October 30th 2016 we flew with Etihad Airways from Manchester to Abu Dhabi. This was our first time flying with Etihad and here's our trip report.
Arriving at Manchester's terminal 1 we headed to Etihad's check in area located in the far corner of the terminal. The check in process and queuing was very simple and straight forward with a dedicated line for online check in. Etihad's customer service desk was located opposite the check in and was very smart and modern. After check in and security we headed through to the airside terminal which had a great variety of shops and food outlets. We then began the long walk down peir charlie to stand 30. The waiting lounge was extremely busy as it was a totally full flight. After business had boarded they invited economy passengers to board however there was no system to the boarding by row number and so boarding was slightly hectic. Boarding our B777-300 we were greeted by a very friendly crew. The cabin of the 777-300 was in a 3-4-3 configuration and although the seats were clean and modern it wasn't the most spacious of cabins. Each seat had a 32 inch seat pitch and was 18 inches in width and overall i had no complains or drawbacks about the seat. After takeoff we were handed a hot towel to refresh ourselves before the meal service began. The meal itself was quite good and i particularly liked the metal cutlery. The IFE was very modern and efficient with a good selection of movies and programmes for every age and culture. Before landing we were served a small snack however this service was left too late by the crew and it all became very rushed as we started our descent. Abu Dhabi airport itself was very impressive and modern and extremely clean. Overall we had a good experience with Etihad. The flight left on time and there was no major issues. However we did feel that the crew were very slow with it taking a good while before a bar service and the snack being very rushed at the end. However we did arrive early into Abu Dhabi and the flight was very straight forward and we would fly with Etihad again in the future.

Etihad Airways
Etihad Airways (Arabic شركة الاتحاد للطيران sharikat alittiḥād liṭṭayarān) is a flag carrier and the second-largest airline of the United Arab Emirates (after Emirates). Its head office is in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, near Abu Dhabi International Airport (OMAA - ICAO). Etihad commenced operations in November 2003.
The airline operates more than 1,000 flights per week to over 120 passenger and cargo destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas, with a fleet of 119 Airbus and Boeing aircraft as of August 2015. In 2012, Etihad carried 10.3 million passengers, a 23% increase from the previous year, delivering revenues of US$4.8 billion and net profits of US$42 million. Etihad Airways is the third largest airline in the Middle East and it is the second largest airline in the UAE, after the Dubai-based airline Emirates. Its main base is Abu Dhabi International Airport.
In addition to its core activity of passenger transportation, Etihad also operates Etihad Holidays and Etihad Cargo. Etihad established its own airline alliance, Etihad Airways Partners, in 2015, which includes Alitalia, Jet Airways, Air Berlin, Niki, Air Serbia, Air Seychelles and Etihad Regional. Almost every participant airline has a considerable stake of the airline owned by Etihad. Booking for these airlines is consolidated under one network. With the exception of Niki, Etihad Airways holds minority equity investments in the participating airlines along with Virgin Australia which is not officially listed as Etihad Airways Partners.

TRIP REPORT- Etihad Airways B777-300 Manchester- Abu Dhabi (Economy)
On October 30th 2016 we flew with Etihad Airways from Manchester to Abu Dhabi. This was our first time flying with Etihad and here's our trip report. Arriving at Manchester's terminal 1 we headed to Etihad's check in area located in the far corner of the terminal. The check in process and queuing was very simple and straight forward with a dedicated line for online check in. Etihad's customer service desk was located opposite the check in and was very smart and modern. After check in and security we headed through to the airside terminal which had a great variety of shops and food outlets. We then began the long walk down peir charlie to stand 30. In this trip report, I fly from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne on board Etihad's flagship A380-800 in First Class. I start off in transit at Abu Dhabi after coming off a flight from London. After clearing transit security, I have a look at the new Etihad First Class lounge. It's only a short stay, but I have a quick tour of the lounge and manage a haircut and massage treatment before I board my flight. On board, I review the First Class Apartment product. It's absolutely an amazing product that currently is the best First Class hard product in the sky. The size and the quality of the Apartment is simply stunning. I sample a number of items from the on-board menu, surf the net on the plane, and take a shower at 41,000 feet. The First Class bed and the on-board lounge facilities are looked at as well. The flight sadly comes to an end as I make my domestic transit in Melbourne for my flight to Adelaide.

On October 30th 2016 we flew with Etihad Airways from Manchester to Abu Dhabi. This was our first time flying with Etihad and here's our trip report.
Arriving at Manchester's terminal 1 we headed to Etihad's check in area located in the far corner of the terminal. The check in process and queuing was very simple and straight forward with a dedicated line for online check in. Etihad's customer service desk was located opposite the check in and was very smart and modern. After check in and security we headed through to the airside terminal which had a great variety of shops and food outlets. We then began the long walk down peir charlie to stand 30. The waiting lounge was extremely busy as it was a totally full flight. After business had boarded they invited economy passengers to board however there was no system to the boarding by row number and so boarding was slightly hectic. Boarding our B777-300 we were greeted by a very friendly crew. The cabin of the 777-300 was in a 3-4-3 configuration and although the seats were clean and modern it wasn't the most spacious of cabins. Each seat had a 32 inch seat pitch and was 18 inches in width and overall i had no complains or drawbacks about the seat. After takeoff we were handed a hot towel to refresh ourselves before the meal service began. The meal itself was quite good and i particularly liked the metal cutlery. The IFE was very modern and efficient with a good selection of movies and programmes for every age and culture. Before landing we were served a small snack however this service was left too late by the crew and it all became very rushed as we started our descent. Abu Dhabi airport itself was very impressive and modern and extremely clean. Overall we had a good experience with Etihad. The flight left on time and there was no major issues. However we did feel that the crew were very slow with it taking a good while before a bar service and the snack being very rushed at the end. However we did arrive early into Abu Dhabi and the flight was very straight forward and we would fly with Etihad again in the future.

TRIP REPORT- Etihad Airways B777-300 Manchester- Abu Dhabi (Economy)
On October 30th 2016 we flew with Etihad Airways from Manchester to Abu Dhabi. This was our first time flying with Etihad and here's our trip report. Arriving at Manchester's terminal 1 we headed to Etihad's check in area located in the far corner of the terminal. The check in process and queuing was very simple and straight forward with a dedicated line for online check in. Etihad's customer service desk was located opposite the check in and was very smart and modern. After check in and security we headed through to the airside terminal which had a great variety of shops and food outlets. We then began the long walk down peir charlie to stand 30. In this trip report, I fly from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne on board Etihad's flagship A380-800 in First Class. I start off in transit at Abu Dhabi after coming off a flight from London. After clearing transit security, I have a look at the new Etihad First Class lounge. It's only a short stay, but I have a quick tour of the lounge and manage a haircut and massage treatment before I board my flight. On board, I review the First Class Apartment product. It's absolutely an amazing product that currently is the best First Class hard product in the sky. The size and the quality of the Apartment is simply stunning. I sample a number of items from the on-board menu, surf the net on the plane, and take a shower at 41,000 feet. The First Class bed and the on-board lounge facilities are looked at as well. The flight sadly comes to an end as I make my domestic transit in Melbourne for my flight to Adelaide.

On October 30th 2016 we flew with Etihad Airways from Manchester to Abu Dhabi. This was our first time flying with Etihad and here's our trip report.
Arriving at Manchester's terminal 1 we headed to Etihad's check in area located in the far corner of the terminal. The check in process and queuing was very simple and straight forward with a dedicated line for online check in. Etihad's customer service desk was located opposite the check in and was very smart and modern. After check in and security we headed through to the airside terminal which had a great variety of shops and food outlets. We then began the long walk down peir charlie to stand 30. The waiting lounge was extremely busy as it was a totally full flight. After business had boarded they invited economy passengers to board however there was no system to the boarding by row number and so boarding was slightly hectic. Boarding our B777-300 we were greeted by a very friendly crew. The cabin of the 777-300 was in a 3-4-3 configuration and although the seats were clean and modern it wasn't the most spacious of cabins. Each seat had a 32 inch seat pitch and was 18 inches in width and overall i had no complains or drawbacks about the seat. After takeoff we were handed a hot towel to refresh ourselves before the meal service began. The meal itself was quite good and i particularly liked the metal cutlery. The IFE was very modern and efficient with a good selection of movies and programmes for every age and culture. Before landing we were served a small snack however this service was left too late by the crew and it all became very rushed as we started our descent. Abu Dhabi airport itself was very impressive and modern and extremely clean. Overall we had a good experience with Etihad. The flight left on time and there was no major issues. However we did feel that the crew were very slow with it taking a good while before a bar service and the snack being very rushed at the end. However we did arrive early into Abu Dhabi and the flight was very straight forward and we would fly with Etihad again in the future.

This video is a continuation of my trip report on a Virgin Australia B737-800 Business Class flight between Adelaide and Sydney. After arriving in Sydney, I have a long layover and decide to do a bit of flight simulation at Flight Experience. I return to the airport in the evening for my flight (EY455) to Abu Dhabi. I have a look at the Etihad check-in counter in Terminal 1, before having my boarding pass reissued at the First Class counter. I then head over to the Sydney Etihad Lounge and enjoy a meal there before boarding my flight. Once on board the A380, I review the First Class Apartment product. In this trip report, I fly from Abu Dhabi to Melbourne on board Etihad's flagship A380-800 in First Class. I start off in transit at Abu Dhabi after coming off a flight from London. After clearing transit security, I have a look at the new Etihad First Class lounge. It's only a short stay, but I have a quick tour of the lounge and manage a haircut and massage treatment before I board my flight. On board, I review the First Class Apartment product. It's absolutely an amazing product that currently is the best First Class hard product in the sky. The size and the quality of the Apartment is simply stunning. I sample a number of items from the on-board menu, surf the net on the plane, and take a shower at 41,000 feet. The First Class bed and the on-board lounge facilities are looked at as well. The flight sadly comes to an end as I make my domestic transit in Melbourne for my flight to Adelaide.

This video continues on from my trip report on an Etihad A380-800 First Class flight between Sydney and Abu Dhabi. After arriving in Abu Dhabi, I visit the Etihad mixed First/Business class lounge to have some food, relax, and indulge in a massage.
I soon board my flight to LHR (EY 19). Once on board the A380, I review the First Class Apartment product. It's absolutely an amazing product that currently is the best First Class hard product in the sky. The size and the quality of the Apartment is simply stunning. I sample a number of items from the on-board menu, surf the net on the plane, and take a shower in-flight. The First Class bed and the on-board lounge facilities are looked at as well.
The video ends upon landing and arrival at the gate in London Heathrow. After clearing immigration and picking up my baggage, I am whisked away to my hotel in the city by an Etihad-provided BMW chauffeur drive.
