Islamabad: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will extend full cooperation to Pakistan for technical and vocational education and training.

An assurance in this respect was given by a high-level ADB delegation during a meeting with National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NVTTC) executive director Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema here at the NVTTC headquarters on Tuesday.

ADB principal education specialist Norma La Rook led the delegation, where the relevant NVTTC officials were also in attendance. The NAVTTC executive director briefed visitors about the new trends and reforms in the country's technical sector, training of instructors, upgradation of institutes and centres of excellence.

The principal education specialist appreciated the ongoing nationwide activities in TVET sector and declared technical activism inevitable for social and economic development of Pakistan and assured the ADB's full cooperation and support to the country for the purpose. Zulfiqar Ahmed thanked the delegation for their support and cooperation.
