The Brilliance, stylized as the BRILLIANCE, are an American worship music duo of David Gungor and John Arndt. They come from various locations in the United States. The band started making music in 2010. Integrity Music signed the band. Brother is the first studio album by The Brilliance. This charted on the Billboard Christian Albums chart.

Background

The Brilliance is a worship music duo that has their origins in four cities in the United States. The band started out in 2010 with David Gungor in Tulsa, Oklahoma, leading worship services at a church, and John Arndt coming from Austin, Texas, at that time. The two would move their home bases to New York City for Gungor and Chicago for Arndt. Gungor's brother is Michael Gungor.

Music history

The duo started making music in 2010, with the release of a self-titled album, The Brilliance, on October 19, 2010. They quickly followed it up with 2011's, Advent, Vol. 1, on November 28, 2011. In 2012, the duo released, Lent, on February 29, 2012. Additionally in 2012, they released, Cavetime - A Worship Experience, on November 23, 2012. Subsequently, they made two extended plays, on December 2, 2013, released, Advent B Sides EP, and then came out, For Our Children EP, on December 2, 2014. This all culminated, when they caught the attention of Integrity Music, and they released the duo's first studio album, on February 17, 2015, Brother. This album was positively reviewed by Jesus Freak Hideout, twice, The album also charted on the Billboard Christian Albums chart at No. 36.

Film festival

A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Films may be of recent date and, depending upon the festival's focus, can include international and domestic releases. Some festivals focus on a specific film-maker or genre (e.g., film noir) or subject matter (e.g., horror film festivals). The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.

Oremus

Oremus (Latin: "Let us pray") is the invitation to pray, said before short prayers in the Roman Catholic Mass and the Lutheran Divine Service, as well as other Western liturgies.

It is used as a single exclamation in the East (in the rites of the Assyrian and Jacobite Orthodox Churches), or the imperative: "Pray" or "Stand for prayer" (in the Coptic Church); most commonly, however with a further determination, "Let us pray to the Lord" (τοῦ Κυρίου δεηθῶμεν, used throughout the Byzantine Rite, where the laity replies with Kyrie Eleison before the priest recites the prayer), and so on. Louis Duchesne thought that the Gallican Collects were also introduced by the word "Oremus" ("Origines du Culte", Paris, 1898, 103). That was not the case in the Mozarabic Rite, where the celebrant uses the word only twice, before the Agios and Pater noster.

Oremus is said (or sung) in the Roman Rite before all separate collects in the Mass, Office, or on other occasions (but several collects may be joined with one Oremus). It is also used before the Post-Communion, the offertory, and before the introduction to the Pater noster and other short prayers (e.g., Aufer a nobis) in the form of collects.

Brilliance Auto

Brilliance Auto Group (officially HuaChen Group Auto Holding Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese automobile manufacturer headquartered in Shenyang, Liaoning, China. Its products include automobiles, microvans, and automotive components. Its principal activity is the design, development, manufacture and sale of passenger cars sold under the Brilliance brand.

Brilliance Auto Group holds a 42.48% shareholding in the Bermuda-incorporated Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Limited, which is listed on the Frankfurt and Hong Kong stock exchanges. Brilliance China Automotive Holdings in turn holds 50% of BMW Brilliance, a joint venture with BMW which produces, distributes and sells BMW passenger cars in mainland China. Brilliance China Automotive Holdings also holds 60.9% of Shenyang Brilliance JinBei Automobile Co., Ltd., which designs, develops, manufactures and sells minibuses sold under the Jinbei brand.

In 2010, Brilliance Auto Group and its subsidiaries had an annual production capacity of 800,000 vehicles although capacity additions may have come on-line since. In 2012, the company manufactured almost 650,000 vehicles, the 8th-largest production of any Chinese vehicle maker that year. Roughly 70% of production was consumer sedans.
