Are We There Yet? (2005) - Adventure/ Family
Ice Cube stars as Nick, a playboy bachelor who's trying to land a date with a young, attractive divorcee, Suzanne (Nia Long). Problem is, Suzanne is stuck working in Vancouver over New Year's and miserable because she misses her kids. Seizing the opportunity, Nick gallantly offers to make her wish come true, and his own in the process, by driving 7-year-old Kevin (Philip Bolden) and 11-year-old Lindsey (Aleisha Allen) up from Portland to be reunited with their mom. What Nick doesn't know is that Suzanne's children think no man is good enough for their mom, and will do everything they can to make the trip a nightmare for him. Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride. © 2005 Revolution Studios Distribution Company, LLC. All Rights Reserved.

Vancouver actor Derek Lowe appearing in the Are We There Yet? For auditions and bookings contact Andrew Ooi, Echelon Talent Management 604.689.3639. I had a lot of fun on the 2005 set of Are We There Yet? I had admired Ice Cube since Boyz in the Hood. I never listened to his music, but he had a commanding presence on set. Director Brian Levant came from movies like The Flintstones and kept telling me to "go big" with the accent. I love acting in comdies, but there are some things about them that are harder than dramas. I have been a professional Vancouver actor since 1988. My first professional job was on "21 Jump Street". Since then, I have appeared in many popular television episodes and feature films. As a Chinese-Canadian actor, one of the things I strive for in my career is to bre...

/ About the Project As of today, it is estimated that there are more than 7 billion humans living on Earth. Humans have only been a glimpse in the Earth’s timeline, yet in the last 200 years the evolution of mankind has skyrocketed as well as the need for Earth’s resources. Skyscrapers are growing taller than the next, like huge trees battling for sunlight. At night, from a higher point of view, traffic evokes lava flowing down a volcano. Like a giant ant colony, humans have made this planet their own. But what about the Earth? Can we continue to take without consequences? The City Limits tries to show that even though we are the dominant species on the planet, there is something bigger than us. In Carl Sagan’s own words “Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dar...
Shot entirely on 5/7D, t2i There is something completely lonely, yet completely spiritual about it snowy landscapes. Throw in some good times and it's a nice balance that somewhat reflects the mountain life. That's kinda what I set out to capture in this commercial / experimental film for Endeavor. The obscure balance of the snowboard life. It was a 3 month trek...longer than the average commercial shoot but I believe the depth of it will resonate more than the average commercial. Jody Wachniak was amazing, a real gentleman...I actually amped up his "player" factor for the purposes of the commercial. t was shot on location in Whistler / Grouse Mt. / Squamish. Chayse Irvin chayseirvin.com was the DP with support camera work from Selim Matte selimmete.com and myself. Much Love to Chayse,...
Kindie-rocker, Joanie Leeds, sings about family vacations on the road!

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to visit Chernobyl whilst working for CBS News on a '60 Minutes' episode which aired on Nov. 23, 2014. Bob Simon is the correspondent. Michael Gavshon and David Levine, producers. For the full story http://www.cbsnews.com/news/chernobyl-the-catastrophe-that-never-ended/ ----> ***Soundtrack 'Promise land' by Hannah Miller - licensed on themusicbed.com Available on iTunes here https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/promise-land-single/id948047626 Chernobyl is one of the most interesting and dangerous places I've been. The nuclear disaster, which happened in 1986 (the year after I was born), had an effect on so many people, including my family when we lived in Italy. The nuclear dust clouds swept westward towards us. The Italian police went round and th...
I think that we're lost again
and this looks like the shitty side of town
We're running out of gas
and the sun is going...
down...down...down.
Time to turn around
and start heading back
in the right direction now,
but my map is upside down.
I just wanna make it to the show,
but I don't think that we're gonna go,
I can see the headline now...
"Four punks are dead again...
We know you don't care...but, film at ten.
And, now on to sports."
Things are looking bleak,
everybody thinks that I'm a geek.
We're hiding all our cash,
my fingernails are digging in the dash.
"Why didn't you ask for directions?
What Cracker Jack box did you find your
license in?
You stupid piece of shit...
I'll never ride with you again!"
I just wanna make it to the show,
but I don't think that we're gonna go.
"Just pull over and let me drive!"
Everybody wants me dead.
I think the club is up ahead.
It feels good to be alive!
