A Clockwork Orange is a 1971 dystopian crime film adapted, produced, and directed by Stanley Kubrick, based on Anthony Burgess's 1962 novella A Clockwork Orange. It employs disturbing, violent images to comment on psychiatry, juvenile delinquency, youth gangs, and other social, political, and economic subjects in a dystopian near-future Britain.
Alex (Malcolm McDowell), the main character, is a charismatic, sociopathic delinquent whose interests include classical music (especially Beethoven), rape, and what is termed "ultra-violence." He leads a small gang of thugs (Pete, Georgie, and Dim), whom he calls his droogs (from the Russian word друг, "friend," "buddy"). The film chronicles the horrific crime spree of his gang, his capture, and attempted rehabilitation via controversial psychological conditioning. Alex narrates most of the film in Nadsat, a fractured adolescent slang composed of Slavic (especially Russian), English, and Cockney rhyming slang.
The soundtrack to A Clockwork Orange features mostly classical music selections and Moog synthesizer compositions by Wendy Carlos (then known as Walter Carlos). The artwork of the now-iconic poster of A Clockwork Orange was created by Philip Castle with the layout by designer Bill Gold.

Nowadays "A Clockwork Orange" is a movie that everybody knows. What you don't know is that during the period it was banned a longer version of the film was lost, it lasted more than 20 minutes more than the common version of the movie, with a different opening sequence and an extended ending that made the movie complete. This version of the film was discovered in 2013, hidden in a double sided box at London Film Institute. Firstly nobody expected it was one of the most acclaimed Kubrik's masterpieces kept in good conditions but when they found out it was a longer version of the movie the remastering process started. I uploaded in youtube this file, that you can also find in the web archive of the London Film Institute, just to make it easier to watch. All rights reserved.

Possibly the world's most famous scene. Regarding the music, from Stimtness: "It's the Overture to La Gazza Ladra (in English: The Thieving Magpie) by Gioacchino Rossini. You'll want the unabridged version (The Wendy Carlos CWO Soundtrack has a great version, but it doesn't contain the section in this video) This particular section occurs about 3 minutes into the full march."

This video contains spoilers for the entirety of A Clockwork Orange and it's recommended that you watch the film first in order to not have it spoiled. The video will also assume that you have seen it already and you may be lost if you have not. It's been a long time since I've made a video like this so I may be a little rusty. People complained that in my older videos I spoke way too fast, so I did *try* to slow down in this video. Whether or not I succeeded is up to you I guess. I will hopefully be making an update video soon after this.
