Mumbai (/mʊmˈbaɪ/; also known as Bombay, the official name until 1995) is the capital city of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the most populous city in India and the ninth most populous agglomeration in the world, with an estimated city population of 18.4 million. Along with the neighbouring regions of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, it is one of the most populous urban regions in the world and the seсond most populous metropolitan area in India, with a population of 20.7 million as of 2011. Mumbai lies on the west coast of India and has a deep natural harbour. In 2009, Mumbai was named an alpha world city. It is also the wealthiest city in India, and has the highest GDP of any city in South, West, or Central Asia. Mumbai has the highest number of billionaires and millionaires among all cities in India.
The seven islands that came to constitute Mumbai were home to communities of fishing colonies. For centuries, the islands were under the control of successive indigenous empires before being ceded to the Portuguese and subsequently to the British East India Company when in 1661 King Charles II married the Portuguese Catherine of Braganza, and as part of her dowry Charles received the ports of Tangier and seven islands of Bombay. During the mid-18th century, Bombay was reshaped by the Hornby Vellard project, which undertook reclamation of the area between the seven islands from the sea. Along with construction of major roads and railways, the reclamation project, completed in 1845, transformed Bombay into a major seaport on the Arabian Sea. Bombay in the 19th century was characterized by economic and educational development. During the early 20th century it became a strong base for the Indian independence movement. Upon India's independence in 1947 the city was incorporated into Bombay State. In 1960, following the Samyukta Maharashtra movement, a new state of Maharashtra was created with Bombay as the capital.
Arvind Swamy is an Indian film actor and former model known for his work in Tamil cinema. He was introduced as an actor by Mani Ratnam with the film Thalapathi (1991) and subsequently starred in successful films such as Roja (1992), Bombay (1995), Minsaara Kanavu (1997) and Alaipayuthey (2000).
Swamy also starred in other ventures, including the Telugu film Mounam (1995), the Malayalam film Devaraagam (1996), and the Bollywood film Saat Rang Ke Sapne (1998). Swamy spent a decade in businesses ranging from software engineering, construction, international trade to global outsourcing, before returning to acting with the 2013 Mani Ratnam's film Kadal, and the 2015 film Thani Oruvan, and has garnered positive reception for his performances.
Arvind Swamy was born in Chennai. His foster parents were industrialist V. D. Swamy and the Bharatanatyam dancer Vasantha Swamy. Swamy studied at the Sishya School and later in Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School and completed his schooling in 1987. He then graduated from Loyola College, Chennai in 1990 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He then went to the United States to do his Masters in International Business from Wake Forest University in North Carolina.
Manisha Koirala (born 16 August 1970) is a Nepalese actress known for her works, innocence and natural beauty in Indian cinema, as well as a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and social activist. Koirala has primarily worked in Hindi cinema, though she has appeared in several Nepali, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films as well. She is also an accomplished Bharatnatyam and Manipuri dancer. Born to politician Prakash Koirala and Sushma Koirala in the politically prominent Koirala family of Nepal, she made her acting debut in the Nepali film Pheri Bhetaula (1989). A year later, Koirala made her Bollywood debut with the top-grossing drama Saudagar (1991). She went on to establish herself as one of the leading actresses in the 90s with such mainstream films as 1942: A Love Story (1994), Agni Sakshi (1996) and Gupt (1997), she was also voted the most beautiful actress in 90s.
Recognised for her acting prowess, Koirala was noted for her performances in films such as Bombay, Akele Hum Akele Tum (both 1995), Khamoshi: The Musical (1996), Dil Se.. (1998), Lajja (2001) and Company (2002). She has won the Filmfare Critics' Award thrice and has received four nominations for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress so far. Although box-office collections of her films have varied considerably, critics have noted that her niche as an actor remains unharmed irrespective of her commercial potent. Off-screen she is frequented in the media as a "controversy's child" with her bohemian stance and candid comments often described as "outspoken" and "bold". She was awarded "Nepal's Humanitarian Ambassador" at the We Care for Humanity's 3rd Global Officials of Dignity Awards which was held at UN Millennium Hotel in August, 2015.
Gopala Ratnam Subramaniam (born 2 June 1955), commonly known by his screen name Mani Ratnam, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. Cited by the media as one of India's most acclaimed and influential filmmakers, Mani Ratnam is widely credited with revolutionising the Tamil film industry and altering the profile of Indian cinema. Although working in the mainstream medium, his films are noted for their realism, technical finesse, and craft. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri, acknowledging his contributions to film in 2002.
Despite being born into a film family, Mani Ratnam did not develop any interest towards films when he was young. Upon completion of his post graduation in management, he started his career as a consultant. He entered the film industry through the 1983 Kannada film Pallavi Anu Pallavi. The failure of his subsequent films would mean that he was left with little offers. However, his fifth directorial Mouna Ragam (1986) established him as a leading filmmaker in Tamil cinema. He followed that with the Godfatheresque Nayagan (1987), which is regarded as a cult film over the years. Mani Ratnam is well known for his "Political trilogy" consisting of Roja (1992), Bombay (1995), and Dil Se.. (1998). The commercial and critical success of Roja established him as a leading filmmaker in Indian cinema.

Digging beyond just the backpackers who are extras on film sets, this episode reveals the small industry of foreign artists or white-skinned Indians who are successfully working in the film industry. In this episode, Harry Key shares his journey coming to India as a backpacker and deciding to stay back to work in the film industry. Harry explains how he is typecast as a villain in a colonial period film, a sexy white man in a music video or in his earlier days, as an extra in a Bollywood dance sequence. [Babe Reg]
Yeah yeah
Woke up one morning to see my niggas from high school
Checc it out
Babe Reg...Mr. Doctor...Foe Loco
[Babe Reg]
Woke up one morning out some bomb ass cocc
My dick kinda limp so I cruise around the blocc
Call my cousin Doc as I swoop in the drop
Stop by my homie Foe house to puff on the ounce
Seen my little homie Twamp who I ain't seen in a while
Nigga gone been floatin on clout nine
Headed to the Liquor sto', got some mixed gin and juice
Got a quarter pound of kills so I'm fucced up for real
Seven, eight, nine ten eleven twelve
Bailed bacc in the crib (For what?) Because I'm all-in
Conversated then I dug the hoe out
I fixed me some food, then go the hell out
Two A.M. on the diz-ot, I pause and I stiz-op
I reminisce on that ass that I riz-occed
And now I'm high as a kite
Yeahh, and I'm feelin alright
Four A.M. as I stoll bacc to my crib
to see what's with my woman and my newborn kid
[Mr. Doctor]
With my mind on my money and my money on my mind
We do this everyday about the same time, be-otch!
[Foe Loco]
Up at Rosemont Park one day, that's when I saw her face
She looked kind of cavi to me
And when I take her home, and tap that ass I'm gone
I'm just a hog don't blame me
[Mr. Doctor]
Yeah, yeah...yeah, yeah
Now do I love them hoes? (Reg: Nigga hell naw)
And why is that? (Reg: Because we some gangsta's Doc)
(Reg: And we don't never give a fucc about a bitch
To Odysea...bitches ain't shit but hoes and triccs)
Ha hah, dee dee dadi dadi dah
Listen to the sounds from my nigga Mr. Doc
While I slide through the city in the rag six-tre'
Hoppin like a mutha fucca tryin to find some play
Hittin all the spots but I'm comin up blank
I'm headed to the liquor store to get myself some drank
Parks my ride as I, steps inside, as I
Slips my Colt 45 by my side, as I
Continue with my mission
Pussy is my dish and I'm dishin, dishin
Upon a star, to come up on some ends for my caviar
And a little bit of pussy
So I can get my pimp on
Cause my pig gets my pimp on from G to Odysea, nigga
[Babe Reg]
I put my pen, on cold Ohio nights
and the bitch didn't freezed up when I wanted her to write
Put my pen in the hot California sun

Don't want to have to slap you
Don't want to have to bacc you

Up off the East and West
