Pellinor is a fantasy series by Australian author Alison Croggon, spanning four books, the last of which was released in June 2008 in Australia, September 2008 in the UK and March 2009 in the USA.
The series is the retelling of the "Naraudh Lar-Chanë", the Riddle of the Treesong, set in the fictional world of Edil-Amarandh. The story mainly revolves about the character of adolescent girl Maerad, who was forced into slavery along with her mother as a child, after the sacking of the Bard school of Pellinor.
So far the books have been published by Penguin Books in Australia, Walker Books in the UK, Candlewick Press in the US, and Bastei-Lübbe in Germany, with the translation done by Michael Krug.
First published in Australia in 2003, the United Kingdom in 2004, and as "The Naming", in the United States during 2005.
The Gift begins with Maerad, in "Gilman's Cot" as a slave, where she has been for most of her life, with few memories of her former life, her mother having died several years before. She is discovered by Cadvan, one of the great mystics known as Bards, who reveals to her that she too has "the Gift" shared by all of these, by which she is able to command nature to do her will. Cadvan soon discovers that her mother was Milana of Pellinor, the leader of the First Circle of the sacked School of Pellinor, of whom it was previously assumed that there were no survivors. Knowing this, Cadvan decides to help her escape, believing that it might not be random chance that he came upon the only known survivor from Pellinor.

The Books were an American duo, formed in New York City in 1999, consisting of guitarist and vocalist Nick Zammuto and cellist Paul de Jong. Their releases typically incorporated samples of obscure sounds and speech. They released three critically acclaimed albums on the German label Tomlab, and released their fourth studio album, The Way Out, on Temporary Residence Limited in July 2010.
Zammuto and de Jong first met in New York City in 1999 as they shared the same apartment building. De Jong invited Zammuto to dinner at his apartment, where he played him some of his collection of audio and video samples, including a Shooby Taylor record. Zammuto said of their meeting that "we both kind of knew at that moment that we listened (to music) in interesting ways and had similar approaches to music." Soon after, they began playing what they considered to be pop music, in comparison to their own works, under the name The Books.

Actors: Claude Ludovicy (miscellaneous crew), Billy Boyd (actor), Bernard Hill (actor), Jimmy de Brabant (producer), Andy Stephens (miscellaneous crew), Tim McInnerny (actor), Ambroise Gayet (miscellaneous crew), David Rogers (producer), Eva Birthistle (actress), Christophe Vincent (miscellaneous crew), Niven Howie (editor), Guy Collins (producer), Kristin Van Passel (costume designer), Claude Breda (actor), Wim Goossens (miscellaneous crew),
Plot: The 'Angel Hope' of the title is a fictitious nun - a little like Mother Teresa, only much younger and prettier - who works at a fictitious hospital in the South Pacific. The third fictional element is a hurricane which destroys the hospital, triggering a charity campaign to rebuild it. Needless to say, there are no more plans to build a new hospital than there was a hospital in the first place. And equally needless to say, things begin to go wrong right from the start, with love and religion getting in the way of good honest greed.
Genres: Comedy,My review of the series The Books of Pellinor, by Alison Croggon. I'm using this summer to try and get caught up on my Goodreads book challenge (read 50 books over this year) by reading some series. READ PLEASE!!!!!!!!(There is a spelling mistake, it will be obvious, please forgive me) Book two in the series. In my opinion its the best one. Note I am no fan of the Twilight Saga. I found the music on the Japanese trailer for 2012, and I had to use the wolves because there were no other clips of wolves in the style I wanted them. Just enjoy the video as a Pellinor fan! The Crow book trailer is next on my list. If any suggestions for the characters I'll use to portray Hem, Zelika or Saliman, just put in in the comments. Song: Moving Mountains Clips: All of the Lord of the Rings Movies Eragon Harry Potter 6 (any others I may have forgotten.)

Alison Croggon gives an overview of her Pellinor book series. Available now from Penguin Australia.
I really enjoy the Pellinor set more than the Unique * set. I haven't found the Leodagan Handle despite several boxes, nor have I found the pellinor head. The two sets interchange very well with one another, however.
I wanna be a billionaire so fricking bad
buy all of the things I never had
uh, I wanna be on the cover of Forbes magazine
smiling next to Oprah and the Queen
[Chorus]
Oh every time I close my eyes
I see my name in shining lights
A different city every night oh
I swear the world better prepare
for when I'm a billionaire
Yeah I would have a show like Oprah
I would be the host of, everyday Christmas
give Artie a wish list
I'd probably pull an Angelina and Brad Pitt
and adopt a bunch of babies that ain't never had sh-t
give away a few Mercedes like here lady have this
and last but not least grant somebody their last wish
its been a couple months since I've single so
you can call me Artie Claus minus the Ho Ho
get it, hehe, I'd probably visit where Katrina hit
and damn sure do a lot more than FEMA did
yeah can't forget about me stupid
everywhere I go Imma have my own theme music
[Chorus]
Oh every time I close my eyes
I see my name in shining lights
A different city every night oh
I swear the world better prepare
for when I'm a billionaire
oh oooh oh oooh for when I'm a Billionaire
oh oooh oh oooh for when I'm a Billionaire
[Puck]
Let's go.
I'll be playin' basketball with the president,
dunkin' on his delegates,
then I'll compliment him on his po-li-ti-cal etiquette.
Toss a couple milli in the air just for the heck of it,
but keep the 5's, 10's, 20's, Ben's completely seperate
Yeah, I'll be in a whole new tax bracket
We in recession- but let me take a crack at it
I'll probably take whatevers left, and just spend it up
so everybody that I love can have a couple bucks
And not a single tummy around me,
would know what hungry was,
eatin' good, sleepin' soundly
I know we all have a similiar dream,
go in your pocket, pull out cha' wallet-
put it in the air and sing
I wanna be a billionaire so frickin' bad
buy all of the things I never had [buy everything]
uh, I wanna be on the cover of Forbes magazine
Smilin' next to Oprah and the Queen [what up Oprah]
Oh everytime I close my eyes, [watcha see, watcha see girl?]
I see my name in shining lights, [oh yeah-ah]
A different city every night, all right
I swear,
the world better prepare
For when I'm a billionaire[oh oh, sing it, oh ohhh] [When I'm a billionaire]
