Calabria (Italian pronunciation: [kaˈlaːbrja]; Calàbbria in Calabrian, Calavría in Calabrian Greek, Καλαβρία in Greek, Kalavrì in Arbëresh), known in antiquity as Bruttium or formerly as Italia, is a region in Southern Italy, forming the "toe" of the Italian Peninsula.
The capital city of Calabria is Catanzaro, while its most populated city and the seat of the Calabrian Regional Council is Reggio.
It is bordered to the north by the region of Basilicata, to the west by the Tyrrhenian Sea, and to the east by the Ionian Sea. The region covers 15,080 km2 (5,822 sq mi) and has a population of just under 2 million. The demonym of Calabria in English is Calabrian.
In ancient times Calabria was referred to as "Italy". The Romans later extended the name to cover Southern Italy and then the entire peninsula. Whereas the name Calabria was used to refer to the peninsula of Salento (also known as the "heel" of Italy).
The region is a long and narrow peninsula which stretches from north to south for 248 km (154 mi), with a maximum width of 110 km (68 mi). Some 42% of Calabria's area, corresponding to 15,080 km2, is mountainous, 49% is hilly, while plains occupy only 9% of the region's territory. It is surrounded by the Ionian and Tyrrhenian seas. It is separated from Sicily by the Strait of Messina, where the narrowest point between Capo Peloro in Sicily and Punta Pezzo in Calabria is only 3.2 km (2 mi).
"Calabria" is a song by Danish DJ / producer Rune Reilly Kölsch. It was originally released in 2003 by Credence, a sublabel of Parlophone Records. Calabria is the name of a region in southern Italy.
The track was originally conceived as an instrumental, but in spite of being licensed to several other labels outside Denmark, it received more airplay after DJ group Nari & Milani used the instrumental to create a mash-up with Alex Gaudino and Crystal Waters' "Destination Unknown", matching Rune's instrumental to Waters' vocals. It was released as "Destination Calabria" in 2005 by Rise. The year before, Dutch group Drunkenmunky had produced a cover of the instrumental. Two other dance music acts, Dirty Laundry (John Marks & DJ Maurice) and Kaner, had also created their own versions the same year.
Rune re-released the track once more in 2007, having remixed it with dancehall beats, and adding vocals by Danish reggae singer Natasja Saad. This reggae fusion version titled "Calabria 2007" has been very successful around the world and gained popularity in the United States in mid-late 2007. It got heavy club play, eventually entering the playlist of major Top-40/Dance radio stations such as Z100 and KTU. It placed at #80 on Z100's top 100 songs of 2007. This song was actually featured in a Target ad for the 2007-2008 school year, featuring college dorm supplies, and due to the song's prominence in the ad, the song received much exposure.
Rune Reilly Kölsch is a music producer and DJ from Denmark.
Rune has released music under his many monikers, including Rune RK, ENUR, Artificial Funk, Ink and Needle, Kölsch, and worked with a diverse range of artists including Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Coldplay, NERVO, Steve Aoki and deadmau5. He is known for being the producer and master mind of "Calabria"
The original first version of "Calabria" had its first plays in the local clubs of Ibiza in 2003 and before long the vocal edit, featuring Natasja, burst onto worldwide day-time radio. Over the years, "Calabria" has racked up over 50 million views on YouTube and the ‘seemingly indestructible track’, as hailed by The New York Times, has sold over 1 million copies in the US alone and continues to be supported by the dance music elite. "Calabria" was used in a Target Commercial.
Enur (stylized ENUR) was formed in 2005 with his half brother, the renowned Danish designer Johannes Torpe. Enur's first album was the critically acclaimed predominantly reggae fusion album Raggatronic.
"Destination Calabria" is a song by Italian producer Alex Gaudino, with vocals by Crystal Waters. It is the first single released from his debut album My Destination.
The track is a mashup, taking the instrumental from Rune's "Calabria" and the vocals from Alex Gaudino's and Crystal Waters' "Destination Unknown", both originally released in 2003. It was produced with the help of Maurizio Nari and Ronnie Milani (Nari & Milani), matching the saxophone hook/riff from "Calabria" to Crystal Waters' voice. "Destination Calabria" was released as a 12 inch single by Italian label Rise Records, and as a CD single, on 19 March 2007, by British label Data Records. It originally charted in Australia in February 2004 peaking at #98 under the title "Destination Unknown" before being re-released as "Destination Calabria" and reaching #2 in 2007.

-intro-
So there I was and you we're gone without me.
My heart is like a broken glass, ready to sleep.
Now I realized what you've done to me,
You left without a single feel,
Ready to say goodbye for our HIS-TO-RY!
-verse 1-
There I was terrified, cause you we're on my sight,
I can't believe my eyes.
I turn my back for you, hope you don't be a fool,
To lay your hand on me.
-bridge 1-
What you did to me, was unacceptable.
-chorus 1-
Hey!
Can you see how I hate?
Can you feel all of my rage?
Can you see how your own heart pumps my anger into your veins?
-bridge 2-
What you did to me, was unforgivable.
-chorus 2-
Hey!
Everything you said was a lie!
I just want to say goodbye!
Don't you ever speak to me, get the fuck out of my face!
-verse 2-
I can't find words to say, how I will survive today,
You caused me so much pain.
I just close my eyes, start running towards the light,
Ready to say goodbye.
