Chernobyl or Chornobyl (IPA /tʃɜːrˈnoʊbᵻl/; Ukrainian: Чорнобиль, pronounced [tʃɔrˈnɔbɪlʲ]; Russian: Чернобыль, pronounced [tɕɪrˈnobɨlʲ], Polish: Czarnobyl pronounced [tʂarˈnɔbɨl], Yiddish: טשערנאבל pronounced [tʃɛrnɔbl]) is a city in the restricted Chernobyl Exclusion Zone situated in Ivankiv Raion of northern Kiev Oblast, Ukraine near the border with Belarus. The city was the administrative center of Chernobyl Raion (district) from 1923 until it was disestablished in 1988. The city currently has 704 inhabitants.
The city was evacuated in 1986 due to the Chernobyl disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, located 14.5 kilometres (9.0 mi) north-northwest, the most disastrous single nuclear event in history. The power plant was within Chernobyl Raion, but the city was not the residence of the power plant workers. When the power plant was under construction, Pripyat, a city larger and closer to the power plant, had been built as home for the power plant workers.
After the accident the Chernobyl Raion administration was transferred to the neighboring Ivankiv Raion. Though the city today is mostly a ghost town, a small number of people reside in houses marked with signs stating that the "Owner of this house lives here". Workers on watch and administrative personnel of the Zone of Alienation are stationed in the city on a long-term basis. Before its evacuation, the city had about 14,000 residents. The city of Slavutych, specifically built for those evacuated from Pripyat, also received the population relocated from Chernobyl.
The Chernobyl disaster (also referred to as Chernobyl or the Chernobyl accident) was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the town of Pripyat, in Ukraine (then officially the Ukrainian SSR), which was under the direct jurisdiction of the central authorities of the Soviet Union. An explosion and fire released large quantities of radioactive particles into the atmosphere, which spread over much of the western USSR and Europe.
The Chernobyl disaster was the worst nuclear power plant accident in history in terms of cost and casualties. It is one of only two classified as a level 7 event (the maximum classification) on the International Nuclear Event Scale, the other being the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in 2011. The battle to contain the contamination and avert a greater catastrophe ultimately involved over 500,000 workers and cost an estimated 18 billion rubles. During the accident itself, 31 people died, and long-term effects such as cancers are still being investigated.
1986 (MCMLXXXVI) was a common year starting on Wednesday (dominical letter E) of the Gregorian calendar, the 1986th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 986th year of the 2nd millennium, the 86th year of the 20th century, and the 7th year of the 1980s decade. The year 1986 was designated as the International Year of Peace by the United Nations.
A nuclear power plant is a thermal power station in which the heat source is a nuclear reactor. As is typical in all conventional thermal power stations the heat is used to generate steam which drives a steam turbine connected to an electric generator which produces electricity. As of 23 April 2014, the IAEA report there are 435 nuclear power reactors in operation operating in 31 countries. Nuclear power plants are usually considered to be base load stations, since fuel is a small part of the cost of production.
Electricity was generated by a nuclear reactor for the first time ever on September 3, 1948 at the X-10 Graphite Reactor in Oak Ridge, Tennessee in the United States, and was the first nuclear power plant to power a light bulb. The second, larger experiment occurred on December 20, 1951 at the EBR-I experimental station near Arco, Idaho in the United States. On June 27, 1954, the world's first nuclear power plant to generate electricity for a power grid started operations at the Soviet city of Obninsk. The world's first full scale power station, Calder Hall in England opened on October 17, 1956.
2012 World [civil] electricity generation by fuels (IEA, 2014)
Nuclear power is the use of nuclear reactions that release nuclear energy to generate heat, which most frequently is then used in steam turbines to produce electricity in a nuclear power station. The term includes nuclear fission, nuclear decay and nuclear fusion. Presently, the nuclear fission of elements in the actinide series of the periodic table produce the vast majority of nuclear energy in the direct service of humankind, with nuclear decay processes, primarily in the form of geothermal energy, and radioisotope thermoelectric generators, in niche uses making up the rest.
Nuclear (fission) power stations, excluding the contribution from naval nuclear fission reactors, provided 11% of the world's electricity in 2012, somewhat less than that generated by hydro-electric stations at 16%. Since electricity accounts for about 25% of humanity's energy usage with the majority of the rest coming from fossil fuel reliant sectors such as transport, manufacture and home heating, nuclear fission's contribution to the global final energy consumption is about 2.5%, a little more than the combined global electricity production from "new renewables"; wind, solar, biofuel and geothermal power, which together provided 2% of global final energy consumption in 2014.

His workmates are fellow ex-prisoners - the volatile Terry and bookish ex-drug addict Dino - and their clients aren't exactly big time. As the cheques start bouncing and the debts pile up, Paul's wife Sheila wants him to give up and take a paid job with previous employers, the notorious King brothers, but Paul refuses to abandon his colleagues. Two potential contracts stand between them and oblivion. But one depends on Paul winning over Gregg, the obnoxious, racist site manager of the dodgy Hag Moor Estate; and the other, a potentially lucrative maintenance contract at the luxury private Willows estate, seems to have been sewn up already by the King brothers. As Terry finishes up at The Golden Hours Retirement Home and Dino is dispatched to clean up after his last job after complaints from the tyrannical Roger Forsyth, Paul puts his best efforts into securing the company's future. Terry's brother Ed has just got a job as security guard at the Willows and Paul pays him a visit, hoping he can help him get his foot in the door. He also persuades Sheila to accompany him on a visit to the local Indian restaurant to wine and dine Gregg, but he's unable to ignore Gregg's loathsome behaviour and the evening ends in disaster. With the cheque from Golden Hours bouncing, Dino distracted by a burgeoning relationship with Roger's downtrodden wife Marjorie, and Gregg last seen face-down in a plate of curry, is it all over for A to Z Decorators?

On April 26, 1986, Ukraine marked the sad 30th anniversary of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster. The Chernobyl disaster was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on 26 April 1986 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the city of Pripyat, then located in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic of the Soviet Union (USSR). An explosion and fire released large quantities of radioactive particles into the atmosphere, which spread over much of the western USSR and Europe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chernobyl_disaster Moscow tried to hide the disaster for 2 days before finally admitting the accident. Evacuation began long before the accident was publicly known throughout the Union. Only on 28 April, after radiation levels set off alarms at the Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden, o...

Thirty years after the worst nuclear accident in history, Chernobyl has become a tourist attraction. Tens of thousands of people are believed to have died prematurely from the catastrophe which spread a radioactive cloud over Europe in 1986, but last year 17,000 people visited the so-called exclusion zone anyway. VICE News sent Simon Ostrovsky to Chernobyl to find out just how safe it is to go there. O cabaço se cansou
então ele se arrumou
pegou as camisinhas
e foi pro puteiro
Será que eu consigo
fazer ele levantar
se eu não conseguir
ela vai me espancar
Virgem, vem aqui
você vai se divertir
deixar de ser cabaço
e de socar o palhaço
Virgem, vem aqui
você vai se divertir
deixar de ser cabaço
e de socar o palhaço
se estou pagando
pra que me preocupar?
pega sua grana
e não pára de me dar
depois eu percebi
pra que tanta pressão
de virgem e cabaço
eu passei pra comedor
Virgem, vem aqui
você vai se divertir
deixar de ser cabaço
e de socar o palhaço
Virgem, vem aqui
você vai se divertir
deixar de ser cabaço
e de socar o palhaço
essa foi mais uma história
de um simples garoto
mas com um grande sonho
que era apenas conhecer uma mulher
porém, ele escolheu o lugar errado
escolheu um puteiro
e neste puteiro
só tinha traveco
e o traveco
pegou toda sua roupa
todo seu dinheio
e o pior disso tudo
é que ele continou sendo
cabaço
