Anyway, if you haven't heard yet, every Thursday I release a gear related video. Today I'm talking about the best amp for under $400.00. This is a very common question I've been getting so I thought I'd chime in on my own opinion. Thanks again and see you next Thursday for another gear video. Sincerely, marty
There's a saying that "it's not the volts that kills you, it's the amps" and while that's true in a way, you can't have amps without volts and skin resistance plays a big part too. This video explores all this, introducing voltage, current and resistance for those new to these things. We wanted to see what whether we'd get a "better" amp if we spent the same money on a small valve amp or a big modelling amp! We could have chosen a variety of amps, but in the end we decided to pick a Vox AC10 (thats the small valve amp) & a Fender Mustang GT200 (thats the big modelling amp!). Vox AC10 - https://www.andertons.co.uk/p/AC10C1/combo-amps/vox-ac10-c1-combo-guitar-amp Fender Mustang GT200 - https://www.andertons.co.uk/p/2310306000/combo-amps/fender-mustang-gt-200-200w-2x12-digital-combo-amplifier We also allowed Rob to pick a couple of Tone City pedals (the Golden Plexi & the All Spark) because they are cheap & it allowed him to get a lot more gain than the AC10 actually has (hope that's not cheating!) Dagan talks us through his 7 favourite tube amps for home use, so you can get that valve sound without being evicted or blowing out your windows. If you want that lush valve sound, but don't want to have to turn up your amp to ear shattering levels, these tube amps are light enough to carry to practice, small enough sit in the living room or your apartment yet provide the tube amplifier sound you want - just at lower volumes. However, each of these 7 amplifiers are perfect for small gigs and studio sessions thanks to the fact you can still crank the volume when you need to. Best of all, they're all extremely budget friendly too. Check out the amps used in the video here: 1. PLEASE NOTE: From January 2016, we have moved. We are now here… https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnUXq8mGmoHt0e6ItuTs10w Please subscribe to the That Pedal Show dedicated channel. In this episode, Daniel and Mick attempt to throw some light on how to think about setting your amp up for different drive pedals. Bottom line, the gain and EQ structure of your amp has a huge influence on how your drive pedals sound, feel and react. The guys begin with a late-1970s Fender Twin with EV speakers and a Mallard 18-watt Marshall clone through Greenbacks. They use a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive and Electro-Harmonix Nano Big Muff Pi into both amps, to demonstrate the extent of just how different your pedals can sound, depending on which kind of amp you use - the difference is remarkable! me I'm packing bleak, yeah
Her refrain
spred over the stars
a stock went by
me I'm satisfied
Oooooh how
generate the wave
generate the way
Oooooh how
