Jack Shaheen is the author of Reel Bad Arabs, a former CBS news consultant on Middle East affairs, and Professor Emeritus of Mass Communications from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Shaheen was born in Clairton, Pennsylvania to Lebanese immigrants. Other books include: The TV Arab (1984) and Arab and Muslim Stereotyping in American Popular Culture (1997). He is "a recipient of two Fulbright teaching awards, holds degrees from the Carnegie Institute of Technology, Pennsylvania State University, and the University of Missouri." He was also the "Distinguished Visiting Scholar at New York University’s Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies."

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer, and businessman. Often referred to as the King of Pop, or by his initials MJ, Jackson is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by Guinness World Records. His contribution to music, dance, and fashion, along with a much-publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene along with his brothers as a member of The Jackson 5 in 1964, and began his solo career in 1971.
In the early 1980s, Jackson became a dominant figure in popular music. The music videos for his songs, including those of "Beat It", "Billie Jean", and "Thriller", were credited with transforming the medium into an art form and a promotional tool, and the popularity of these videos helped to bring the relatively new television channel MTV to fame. Videos such as "Black or White" and "Scream" made him a staple on MTV in the 1990s. Through stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk, to which he gave the name. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced numerous hip hop, post-disco, contemporary R&B, pop and rock artists.

Jack Heath, (born 23 August 1986 in Sydney, Australia), is a writer of young adult fiction. He has resided in Canberra since age 9. Heath is best known for the Six of Hearts series, for being one of Australia's youngest bestselling authors, and for the high action content in his novels (his work is often compared to that of Matthew Reilly, to the CHERUB written by Robert Muchamore and to the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz.)
Jack Heath's second book, Remote Control was shortlisted for the 2007 Aurealis Award for Best Science-Fiction Novel, and he is the 2009 ACT Young Australian of the Year.
Most of Jack Heath's works so far have contained one or more of the following elements: atonement/redemption, coming of age, commercialism, conspiracy, corruption, genetic experimentation, greed, heroism, and nature vs. nurture. However, Heath has been quoted as saying that he writes only "to entertain . . . to keep people entertained from the first page to the last. I'm not trying to force issues onto anyone."

Présenté par Jack Shaheen, auteur réputé, le film relève la longue succession d'images dégradantes qui ont été utilisées pour représenter les Arabes au cinéma. Des bandits bédouins aux jeunes filles soumises, en passant par les cheikhs sinistres et les terroristes armés, ce documentaire jette un éclairage dévastateur sur l'origine de ces portraits stéréotypés et sur leur apparition à des moments clés de l'histoire des États-Unis, démontrant du même coup les lourdes conséquences de cette représentation aujourd'hui.
Jack Shaheen montre comment, au fil des ans, la persistance de ces images a fait en sorte de banaliser les préjugés entretenus à l'égard des Arabes et de la culture arabe, ce qui aurait eu pour effet de renforcer une vision étroite des individus d'origine arabe et d'accroître les répercussions des politiques intérieures et internationales des États-Unis et de l'Europe sur leur vie.

Présenté par Jack Shaheen, auteur réputé, le film relève la longue succession d'images dégradantes qui ont été utilisées pour représenter les Arabes au cinéma. Des bandits bédouins aux jeunes filles soumises, en passant par les cheikhs sinistres et les terroristes armés, ce documentaire jette un éclairage dévastateur sur l'origine de ces portraits stéréotypés et sur leur apparition à des moments clés de l'histoire des États-Unis, démontrant du même coup les lourdes conséquences de cette représentation aujourd'hui.
Jack Shaheen montre comment, au fil des ans, la persistance de ces images a fait en sorte de banaliser les préjugés entretenus à l'égard des Arabes et de la culture arabe, ce qui aurait eu pour effet de renforcer une vision étroite des individus d'origine arabe et d'accroître les répercussions des politiques intérieures et internationales des États-Unis et de l'Europe sur leur vie.

Hollywood et les arabes est un documentaire inédit qui passe à la loupe un des aspects les plus calomnieux de l'histoire du cinéma que personne n'avait jamais osé contester ! Présenté par Jack Shaheen, auteur réputé, le film relève la longue succession d'images dégradantes qui ont été utilisées pour représenter les Arabes au cinéma. Des bandits bédouins aux jeunes filles soumises, en passant par les cheikhs sinistres et les terroristes armés, ce documentaire jette un éclairage dévastateur sur l'origine de ces portraits stéréotypés et sur leur apparition à des moments clés de l'histoire des États-Unis, démontrant du même coup les lourdes conséquences de cette représentation aujourd'hui. Jack Shaheen montre comment, au fil des ans, la persistance de ces images a fait en sorte de banaliser les préjugés entretenus à l'égard des Arabes et de la culture arabe, ce qui aurait eu pour effet de renforcer une vision étroite des individus d'origine arabe et d'accroître les répercussions des politiques intérieures et internationales des États-Unis et de l'Europe sur leur vie.
