Barot Valley in Himachal Pradesh, was developed in the '20s by the British, mainly for the Shanan Power Plant in Joginder Nagar. There were no roads to this valley until the late '70s! A trolley system, remains of which, can still be seen today, was its only connection to the outside world till then.

Himachal Pradesh Road Corporation or HRTC is the lifeline of public transport in Himachal Pradesh. HRTC roads link most inaccessible areas to the main stream. Geographical conditions as well as government negligence make roads dangerous in many areas. Besides this the expert drivers of HRTC are serving successfully in these routes.
Reckong peo route is also one of the most dangerous route in the world. Reckong Peo, or Peo is also known as the Land of the Gods for the amazing natural beauty. The headquarters of Kinnaur district, Peo is a hoard in the middle of the Himalayas, a serene town in the center of the great Himalayas.
Recong peo is village of Kalpa is located at 9,711 feet above sea level in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh on NH-22, also known as the Hindustan-Tibet Road.
the journey to Kalpa is not for comfort-seeking travellers, no less than a roller coaster ride from Himachal capital Shimla. It's probably one of the most dangerous roads in the state. If you ignore the rough and rugged landslide-prone terrain and soak in the pine and spruce trees, the tranquil Baspa river and the mighty Himalayan snow-covered range, nature will amaze you with its awesome beauty.

Himachal Pradesh ([ɦɪmaːtʃəl prəd̪eːʃ]; literally "Snow-laden Region") is a state in North India, forming part of the larger Punjab region. Himachal Pradesh is famous for its abundant natural beauty. After the war between Nepal and Britain, also known as the Anglo-Gorkha War (1814–1816), the British colonial government came into power and the land now comprising Himachal Pradesh became part of the Punjab Province of British India. In 1950, Himachal was declared a union territory, but after the State of Himachal Pradesh Act 1971, Himachal emerged as the 18th state of the Republic of India. Hima means snow in Sanskrit, and the literal meaning of the state's name is "In the lap of Himalayas". It was named by Acharya Diwakar Datt Sharma, one of the great Sanskrit scholars of Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal Pradesh Road Corporation or HRTC is the lifeline of public transport in Himachal Pradesh. HRTC roads link most inaccessible areas to the main stream. Geographical conditions as well as government negligence make roads dangerous in many areas. Besides this the expert drivers of HRTC are serving successfully in these routes.
Reckong peo route is also one of the most dangerous route in the world. Reckong Peo, or Peo is also known as the Land of the Gods for the amazing natural beauty. The headquarters of Kinnaur district, Peo is a hoard in the middle of the Himalayas, a serene town in the center of the great Himalayas.
Recong peo is village of Kalpa is located at 9,711 feet above sea level in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh on NH-22, also known as the Hindustan-Tibet Road.
the journey to Kalpa is not for comfort-seeking travellers, no less than a roller coaster ride from Himachal capital Shimla. It's probably one of the most dangerous roads in the state. If you ignore the rough and rugged landslide-prone terrain and soak in the pine and spruce trees, the tranquil Baspa river and the mighty Himalayan snow-covered range, nature will amaze you with its awesome beauty.
