(New York, September 10, 2014) – Available evidence strongly suggests that Syrian government forces were responsible for chemical weapons attacks on two Damascus suburbs on August 21, 2013. These attacks, which killed hundreds of civilians including many children, appeared to use a weapons-grade nerve agent, most likely Sarin.

Men sprawled on a tile floor, shirtless and convulsing. Children, too, seemingly unable to control their shaking and flailing. Panic and screams in the background.
These are some of the hard-to-stomach images that the Obama administration has shown a select group of senators in closed-door briefings to make the case that a limited military attack on Syria is justified, CNN reported on Saturday.
CNN has obtained 13 different videos that the administration has told the Senate Intelligence Committee depict the gruesome scene of a chemical weapons attack in Syria on August 21.
Earlier on Saturday, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in a joint press conference with his French counterpart, ''this is not the time to be silent spectators to slaughter'' adding that ''this is not the time to allow a dictator unfettered use of some of the heinous weapons on earth.''
"There is wide and growing support," Laurent Fabius told reporters in Paris. "Right now, seven of the eight countries in the G8 share our opinion on a strong reaction and 12 countries of the G20 also share this opinion."Kerry added that many countries were prepared to take part in US-led military strikes against the Syrian regime."There are a number of countries, in the double digits, who are prepared to take military action," Kerry said."We have more countries prepared to take military action than we actually could use in the kind of military action being contemplated."
President Barack Obama also addressed the Syrian crisis in a radio address to the nation arguing that America needs to use limited military force in Syria to deter future chemical weapons attacks, but said he did not want to enter into another costly and protracted war.
"This would not be another Iraq or Afghanistan," Obama said in his weekly radio and internet address, previewing arguments he will make in a nationally televised address on Tuesday."Any action we take would be limited, both in time and scope - designed to deter the Syrian government from gassing its own people again and degrade its ability to do so," Obama said.Obama has asked the US Congress to approve the use of force. A final vote in the US Senate is expected at the end of the coming week. A US House vote is likely the week of Sept. 16.Obama will give interviews on Monday to the three network news anchors, as well as to anchors from PBS, CNN, and Fox, more evidence of a "full court press" strategy ahead of pivotal congressional votes on military strikes in Syria.
The interviews will be taped on Monday afternoon and will air during each network's Monday evening news broadcast, the White House said

This important video finally explains (in video form) the smoking gun of the August, 2013 Ghouta chemical massacre. Just as UN inspectors arrived to sort-of verify it, someone had "Assad" launch alleged Sarin rockets all around the Damascus suburbs, killing over 1,000 innocent civilians. Rebels sadly displayed the results and begged for help in stopping the death.
So why, when they found a true survivor among the corpses in Kafr Batna, did the rebel helpers cut his throat right there in their morgue to finish the job? It seems they did the same to at least one other victim earlier. This is ominous, and little-noted. It kind of seems they just wanted a lot of corpses to toss across Obama's "Red Line." *
This is just the tip of the iceberg we're still mapping below the surface as we can. But it seems however many died (x-hundred) it was not "Assad" but the rebels, or terrorist mercenary allies of theirs, who gassed them. It appears they did it in a number of enclosed spaces across the Ghouta region - it probably had nothing to do with those rockets. In this case, clues in the last part of the video suggest the GAS CHAMBERS were here right beneath the display-and-finishing space.

The al-Rahman Legion, also called the al-Rahman Corps, is an alliance of Islamist Free Syrian Army groups operating mostly in Eastern Ghouta, in the outskirts of Damascus, but also in eastern Qalamoun. It is the main rebel group in Jobar and have received BGM-71 TOW missiles. The group's leader is Abd al-Nasr Shmeir.
Jaysh al-Islam ( meaning Army of Islam), formerly known as Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam), is a coalition of Islamist units involved in the Syrian War. Its primary base of operations has been the Damascus area, particularly the city of Douma and region of Eastern Ghouta. Jaysh al-Islam is the largest rebel faction in the area, as was Liwa al-Islam. The group was a part of the Islamic Front. The organization has rejected membership of the Free Syrian Army. The group along with Ahrar ash-Sham are the main rebel groups supported by Saudi Arabia. The group aims to create an Islamic state under Sharia law.

If confirmed, it would stand to be the most violent incident in Syria since the rebel uprising began two years ago and one of the worst toxic attacks in decades. The alleged attack occurred just days after U.N. inspectors arrived in the country to investigate previous attacks. We're joined from Syria by Razan Zaitouneh, a lawyer and human rights activist who works with the Human Rights Violation Documentation Center. We also speak with Patrick Cockburn, a longtime Middle East correspondent for the London Independent who recently returned from reporting in Syria. "We couldn't believe our eyes," Zaitouneh says of witnessing the attack's aftermath. "I haven't seen such death in my whole life."

Ghouta
Ghouta (Arabic: غوطة دمشق / ALA-LC: Ghūṭat Dimashq) originally meant the oasis formed by the Barada river around the site where Damascus, Syria, was founded. Starting in ancient times, canals dug by the inhabitants of Damascus irrigated land on either side of the Barada, increasing the size of the Ghouta to the south and east of the city. Separating the city from the dry grasslands bordering the Syrian Desert, the Ghouta has provided its inhabitants with a variety of cereals, vegetables, and fruits for thousands of years.
Eventually the Ghouta referred to the irrigated agricultural area in the Damascus countryside which at one point reached a size of 370 square kilometers. In the 1980s, urban growth from Damascus started replacing agricultural use with housing and industry, shrinking the size of the green zone.

The Syrian people (Arabic: الشعب السوري / ALA-LC: al-sha‘ab al-Sūrī; Syriac: ܣܘܪܝܝܢ) are the inhabitants of Syria, and their ancestors who share a common Levantine Semitic ancestry. The term also refers to the citizens of Syria, regardless of ancestry, mother tongue, ethnic identity, or culture.
The cultural and linguistic heritage of the Syrian people is a blend of both indigenous elements and the foreign cultures that have come to rule the land and its people over the course of thousands of years.
The Syrian republic has a population of nearly 17 million as of 2014, in addition to 4 million Syrian refugees. Earlier on Saturday, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in a joint press conference with his French counterpart, ''this is not the time to be silent spectators to slaughter'' adding that ''this is not the time to allow a dictator unfettered use of some of the heinous weapons on earth.''
"There is wide and growing support," Laurent Fabius told reporters in Paris. "Right now, seven of the eight countries in the G8 share our opinion on a strong reaction and 12 countries of the G20 also share this opinion."Kerry added that many countries were prepared to take part in US-led military strikes against the Syrian regime."There are a number of countries, in the double digits, who are prepared to take military action," Kerry said."We have more countries prepared to take military action than we actually could use in the kind of military action being contemplated."
President Barack Obama also addressed the Syrian crisis in a radio address to the nation arguing that America needs to use limited military force in Syria to deter future chemical weapons attacks, but said he did not want to enter into another costly and protracted war.
"This would not be another Iraq or Afghanistan," Obama said in his weekly radio and internet address, previewing arguments he will make in a nationally televised address on Tuesday."Any action we take would be limited, both in time and scope - designed to deter the Syrian government from gassing its own people again and degrade its ability to do so," Obama said.Obama has asked the US Congress to approve the use of force. A final vote in the US Senate is expected at the end of the coming week. A US House vote is likely the week of Sept. 16.Obama will give interviews on Monday to the three network news anchors, as well as to anchors from PBS, CNN, and Fox, more evidence of a "full court press" strategy ahead of pivotal congressional votes on military strikes in Syria.
The interviews will be taped on Monday afternoon and will air during each network's Monday evening news broadcast, the White House said

The al-Rahman Legion, also called the al-Rahman Corps, is an alliance of Islamist Free Syrian Army groups operating mostly in Eastern Ghouta, in the outskirts of Damascus, but also in eastern Qalamoun. It is the main rebel group in Jobar and have received BGM-71 TOW missiles. The group's leader is Abd al-Nasr Shmeir.
Jaysh al-Islam ( meaning Army of Islam), formerly known as Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam), is a coalition of Islamist units involved in the Syrian War. Its primary base of operations has been the Damascus area, particularly the city of Douma and region of Eastern Ghouta. Jaysh al-Islam is the largest rebel faction in the area, as was Liwa al-Islam. The group was a part of the Islamic Front. The organization has rejected membership of the Free Syrian Army. The group along with Ahrar ash-Sham are the main rebel groups supported by Saudi Arabia. The group aims to create an Islamic state under Sharia law.

The al-Rahman Legion, also called the al-Rahman Corps, is an alliance of Islamist Free Syrian Army groups operating mostly in Eastern Ghouta, in the outskirts of Damascus, but also in eastern Qalamoun. It is the main rebel group in Jobar and have received BGM-71 TOW missiles. The group's leader is Abd al-Nasr Shmeir.
Jaysh al-Islam ( meaning Army of Islam), formerly known as Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam), is a coalition of Islamist units involved in the Syrian War. Its primary base of operations has been the Damascus area, particularly the city of Douma and region of Eastern Ghouta. Jaysh al-Islam is the largest rebel faction in the area, as was Liwa al-Islam. The group was a part of the Islamic Front. The organization has rejected membership of the Free Syrian Army. The group along with Ahrar ash-Sham are the main rebel groups supported by Saudi Arabia. The group aims to create an Islamic state under Sharia law.

The Syrian opposition says government forces fired poisonous gas into rebel-held neighborhoods of Ghouta, killing hundreds of people. Video posted on YouTube this week shows frantic scenes of overwhelmed hospitals, dead children and countless bodies. If confirmed, it would stand to be the most violent incident in Syria since the rebel uprising began two years ago and one of the worst toxic attacks in decades. The alleged attack occurred just days after U.N. inspectors arrived in the country to investigate previous attacks. We're joined from Syria by Razan Zaitouneh, a lawyer and human rights activist who works with the Human Rights Violation Documentation Center. We also speak with Patrick Cockburn, a longtime Middle East correspondent for the London Independent who recently returned from reporting in Syria. "We couldn't believe our eyes," Zaitouneh says of witnessing the attack's aftermath. "I haven't seen such death in my whole life."

My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.
Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)
Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, "glide" over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and "see" the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

CNN has obtained 13 different videos that the administration has told the Senate Intelligence Committee depict the gruesome scene of a chemical weapons attack in Syria on August 21.
Earlier on Saturday, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in a joint press conference with his French counterpart, ''this is not the time to be silent spectators to slaughter'' adding that ''this is not the time to allow a dictator unfettered use of some of the heinous weapons on earth.''
"There is wide and growing support," Laurent Fabius told reporters in Paris. "Right now, seven of the eight countries in the G8 share our opinion on a strong reaction and 12 countries of the G20 also share this opinion."Kerry added that many countries were prepared to take part in US-led military strikes against the Syrian regime."There are a number of countries, in the double digits, who are prepared to take military action," Kerry said."We have more countries prepared to take military action than we actually could use in the kind of military action being contemplated."
President Barack Obama also addressed the Syrian crisis in a radio address to the nation arguing that America needs to use limited military force in Syria to deter future chemical weapons attacks, but said he did not want to enter into another costly and protracted war.
"This would not be another Iraq or Afghanistan," Obama said in his weekly radio and internet address, previewing arguments he will make in a nationally televised address on Tuesday."Any action we take would be limited, both in time and scope - designed to deter the Syrian government from gassing its own people again and degrade its ability to do so," Obama said.Obama has asked the US Congress to approve the use of force. A final vote in the US Senate is expected at the end of the coming week. A US House vote is likely the week of Sept. 16.Obama will give interviews on Monday to the three network news anchors, as well as to anchors from PBS, CNN, and Fox, more evidence of a "full court press" strategy ahead of pivotal congressional votes on military strikes in Syria.
The interviews will be taped on Monday afternoon and will air during each network's Monday evening news broadcast, the White House said

CNN has obtained 13 different videos that the administration has told the Senate Intelligence Committee depict the gruesome scene of a chemical weapons attack in Syria on August 21.
Earlier on Saturday, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in a joint press conference with his French counterpart, ''this is not the time to be silent spectators to slaughter'' adding that ''this is not the time to allow a dictator unfettered use of some of the heinous weapons on earth.''
"There is wide and growing support," Laurent Fabius told reporters in Paris. "Right now, seven of the eight countries in the G8 share our opinion on a strong reaction and 12 countries of the G20 also share this opinion."Kerry added that many countries were prepared to take part in US-led military strikes against the Syrian regime."There are a number of countries, in the double digits, who are prepared to take military action," Kerry said."We have more countries prepared to take military action than we actually could use in the kind of military action being contemplated."
President Barack Obama also addressed the Syrian crisis in a radio address to the nation arguing that America needs to use limited military force in Syria to deter future chemical weapons attacks, but said he did not want to enter into another costly and protracted war.
"This would not be another Iraq or Afghanistan," Obama said in his weekly radio and internet address, previewing arguments he will make in a nationally televised address on Tuesday."Any action we take would be limited, both in time and scope - designed to deter the Syrian government from gassing its own people again and degrade its ability to do so," Obama said.Obama has asked the US Congress to approve the use of force. A final vote in the US Senate is expected at the end of the coming week. A US House vote is likely the week of Sept. 16.Obama will give interviews on Monday to the three network news anchors, as well as to anchors from PBS, CNN, and Fox, more evidence of a "full court press" strategy ahead of pivotal congressional votes on military strikes in Syria.
The interviews will be taped on Monday afternoon and will air during each network's Monday evening news broadcast, the White House said

Just as UN inspectors arrived to sort-of verify it, someone had "Assad" launch alleged Sarin rockets all around the Damascus suburbs, killing over 1,000 innocent civilians. Rebels sadly displayed the results and begged for help in stopping the death.
So why, when they found a true survivor among the corpses in Kafr Batna, did the rebel helpers cut his throat right there in their morgue to finish the job? It seems they did the same to at least one other victim earlier. This is ominous, and little-noted. It kind of seems they just wanted a lot of corpses to toss across Obama's "Red Line." *
This is just the tip of the iceberg we're still mapping below the surface as we can. But it seems however many died (x-hundred) it was not "Assad" but the rebels, or terrorist mercenary allies of theirs, who gassed them. It appears they did it in a number of enclosed spaces across the Ghouta region - it probably had nothing to do with those rockets. In this case, clues in the last part of the video suggest the GAS CHAMBERS were here right beneath the display-and-finishing space.

The al-Rahman Legion, also called the al-Rahman Corps, is an alliance of Islamist Free Syrian Army groups operating mostly in Eastern Ghouta, in the outskirts of Damascus, but also in eastern Qalamoun. It is the main rebel group in Jobar and have received BGM-71 TOW missiles. The group's leader is Abd al-Nasr Shmeir.
Jaysh al-Islam ( meaning Army of Islam), formerly known as Liwa al-Islam (Brigade of Islam), is a coalition of Islamist units involved in the Syrian War. Its primary base of operations has been the Damascus area, particularly the city of Douma and region of Eastern Ghouta. Jaysh al-Islam is the largest rebel faction in the area, as was Liwa al-Islam. The group was a part of the Islamic Front. The organization has rejected membership of the Free Syrian Army. The group along with Ahrar ash-Sham are the main rebel groups supported by Saudi Arabia. The group aims to create an Islamic state under Sharia law.

The Syrian opposition says government forces fired poisonous gas into rebel-held neighborhoods of Ghouta, killing hundreds of people. Video posted on YouTube this week shows frantic scenes of overwhelmed hospitals, dead children and countless bodies. If confirmed, it would stand to be the most violent incident in Syria since the rebel uprising began two years ago and one of the worst toxic attacks in decades. The alleged attack occurred just days after U.N. inspectors arrived in the country to investigate previous attacks. We're joined from Syria by Razan Zaitouneh, a lawyer and human rights activist who works with the Human Rights Violation Documentation Center. We also speak with Patrick Cockburn, a longtime Middle East correspondent for the London Independent who recently returned from reporting in Syria. "We couldn't believe our eyes," Zaitouneh says of witnessing the attack's aftermath. "I haven't seen such death in my whole life."
