As of Tuesday, the official music video had been viewed more than 2,894,760,00 times - ahead of Gangnam Style's 2,894,240,000 YouTube views. Justin Bieber's Sorry remains the third most-watched YouTube video of all time, with 2.63 billion views.

Bruno Mars' and Mark Ronson's Uptown Funk is fourth, with just over 2.5 billion views. Interestingly, Luis Fonsi's Despacito - which has only been out for six months - is rocketing up the charts with 2.47 billion views to date.

See You Again was written for the Furious 7 soundtrack as a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker. Walker and a close friend died in 2013 when the Porsche they were in crashed and burst into flames.

The tragedy occurred while Furious 7 was still shooting. While production was originally suspended, the filmmakers - with permission from Walker's family - later used special effects in order to finish his character's scenes.
